For over 29 years, Dr. Horton has lived and cared for patients in South Tampa. Beginning her career as a dental hygienist, she practiced for a dentist in Clearwater for 10 years before moving to Tampa to attend USF, and then on to a wonderful Dental education at the University of Florida Dental College.
Dr. Horton is dedicated to your comfort and care, with a longtime passion for all phases of dentistry. Her commitment to higher learning (continuing education of over 29 years of practice) surpasses 2,000 hours and spans all therapies and technologies. She has studied with world renowned clinicians in every field of dentistry, learning from the best.
Dr. Horton completed mastership programs for restorative excellence with The Dawson Academy of Occlusion, Cosmetics Advanced Continuum training at LSU with Dr. Jimmy Eubanks and The Spears Institute of Seattle for Complex Cosmetic Dentistry.
Much of her Endodontic learning was at the Scottsdale Institute, with Dr. Cliff Ruddle. 240 hours of Implant education was realized through the University of Floridas clinic in St. Petersburg (implant educators). A little-known fact is that Dr. Horton has finished more Invisalign, clear aligner therapy than any general dentist in the Southeast, beginning the companys success story in 2003, when orthodontists touted the clear aligners inability to correct complex crowded cases.
Dr. Horton and her husband Earl, of 39 years, have been active in the Tampa community for 30 years, helping to establish the Childrens museum, and also working with DACCO (to reduce addictive behaviors in order to prevent death from alcoholism and opioid overdose). Dr. Horton is involved in helping those in need, not just in her office, but working with Gulf Coast Dental Outreach in Pinellas County. Dr. Horton has 2 grown children and besides spending time with her family, she is an avid exercise and tennis enthusiast.

Dr Horton was our dentist 20 years ago before we moved to Northern VA. Regrettably, we did not return to Dr Horton when we returned to Tampa in Dec 2021 as she was not part of our insurance network. After a couple of less than desirable visits with an in network dentist, we decided to return to Dr Horton. BEST decision we made!!! It was as if we never left. Dr Horton and her team are FANTASTIC!! They care about their patients and deliver first-rate QUALITY care!!!!

More than pleased on my first visit. I would definitely call this place home very professional clean very well ran. Staff here are very caring so polite and friendly I would recommend to anyone to check this place out.

I have finally found the dentist I've always wanted. Dr. Horton did a full analysis of my teeth, and came up with a plan. After the best cleaning I've ever had by Liz, Dr. Horton adjusted my bite. This was a total game changer. Now I can chew on both sides of my mouth and my jaw soreness has disappeared. No dentist in the past ever brought up my bite. I'm in the middle of a fabulous teeth whitening program and am thrilled with the results. Who knew all this was possible! The staff are professional, friendly and really care about their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Horton.

Dr Horton is the only dentist I will use. I was terrified of dentists before coming here. I hadn't been to the dentist in years. I suffer no such fears any longer. Great, great place.

I've lived in many cities and have seen many dentists over the decades. Dr. Horton is by far the best. Not only for her skill and perseverance to get things right, but because she LISTENS - and this has been consistent throughout the more than 20 years that she has treated me. Every patient is different and LISTENING is a skill that is not universal among dentists or doctors. For a lot of different reasons, both physiological and psychological, I have a low pain threshold. This ranges from a childhood dentist who actually didn't believe in Novacaine to others who didn't take the time to completely numb me up. But this has NEVER been a problem when she works on me. She has the patience and skill to numb me up correctly and it is genuinely appreciated.

My old tooth, 80 years old, was worn-out. Dr. Horton got whatever was left and put a temp over it; nice temp, I could have kept it. A new sturdy tooth was made. Later, temp was removed and permanent was installed and now I am showing-off the new tooth, which could not be better. Good job. Compliments to all the staff who part of this.

I travel far to come to this dental practice. Everyone is exceptionally wonderful, knowledgeable and I have never gotten better treatment anywhere else. It's comprehensive dentistry and as an added bonus, I can get my Botox for migraines and fillers! Dr.Horton does a better job than my derm at home... that's saying something. I highly recommend this office.

Great staff, everyone is absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable! Came in for a standard cleaning, they did a great job. Have also had some jaw issues my entire life, they were able to get me in for a bite adjustment and my mouth has never been better! I am absolutely in love with Dr Nancy Horton office. I feel so comfortable and well taken care of. it's feels as a "Dental Spa". The entire staff is beyond wonderful, and the pretty decoration as the incleanliness makes a plus in covid 19 season !

My teeth are feeling clean and sparkly after a check up with Liz and Dr. Horton this morning. I always leave with a big smile (even though today it is under my mask). I felt very safe and comfortable with their covid process so don't skip your dental care!
