Dr. Mostafa Norooz graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1995. Since then he has been one of the pioneers of advanced comprehensive dentistry in Washington. Dr. Norooz has been a licensed sedation dentist since 2004. To date, he has treated over 15,000 people all over Western Washington and abroad.

As a general dentist, Dr. Norooz has taken over 2000 hours of dental continuing education which in effect qualifies him to graduate from dental school three times over. He has been honored with numerous certificates and titles from different prestigious organizations. We are honored to show you what a difference a dentist could make in your life.

My dental practice philosophy is that every patient should be treated as an individual who deserves the best dental care possible. I try to achieve this by respecting and listening to my patients and staying abreast of current dental knowledge and technology. It is my honor to serve my community.

I would like to share a summary of my educational, professional, and social background so you have a sense of my life and practice philosophy. My teenage years in Iran coincided with Irans 1979 revolution. This revolution was followed by a dreadful war between Iran and Iraq. Unfortunately, my hometown happened to be in the war zone, and I was drafted into the war as well. This was my introduction into the world of medicine as a paramedic in war zone. Experiencing war, its tragedies, and aftermath at such a young age gave me a unique perspective of life and how we should live it. I came to appreciate life and humanity because my own life was saved several times by others and by pure strokes of luck.

I consider myself to be an example of the American dream. I immigrated to the United States in December 1985 as a student, with very little English, minimal resources, and no family to support me financially or emotionally. However, in nine years, I was able to earn two professional degrees with honor. Within this time, I became a US citizen in 1993 and well established in my community. I received a Bachelor of Science in radiologic technology in 1990 and a DDS in1995 from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Immediately after graduation, I moved to the Pacific Northwest. After a short period of associateship, I purchased my private general dentistry practice in Tacoma Washington.

My practice is conveniently located in the downtown Tacoma hospital core. Since 1995, I have been a credentialed member of Multi-Care and Franciscan health systems. I am honored to be the primary general dentist for these systems. For past 22 years I have served as a volunteer 24/7 on call dentist for Tacoma General Hospital (TG), Mary Bridge Children Hospital and St. Josephs Hospital. I donate my services to in-patient and ER patient with dental related conditions at these and other facilities. I have been providing free dental care to the disabled and mentally challenged, and underserved population since I was in Dental school. With my hospital dentistry training and community affiliations, I am able to provide comprehensive dental care under general anesthesia at Mary Bridge and Tacoma General Hospitals often at reduced cost or sometimes at no cost at all.

I also believe that education should not end after dental school. My continuing dental education credits attest to that. My continuing dental education has been in various areas including: sedation dentistry (primarily to facilitate dentistry for the disabled), computerized treatment-planning and diagnosis in implantology and orthodontic sciences, Cad Cam dentistry, implantology, bone grafting/osseo-integration/ PRP, periodontal surgery, Orthodontics, occlusion/ TMD studies, treatment planning and management of complex cases, ACLS/ emergencies management, digital radiography, and digital practice and data management. We are one of the pioneers in internet communication in dental field in our city. I have taken majority of course offered by Doctors Organization for Conscience Sedation (DOCS). I have been a licensed sedation dentist since 2003. In 2007 I completed IV sedation mini residency given by Dr. Stanley Malamed with University of Southern California. Since 2005, I have taken numerous courses in Cad-cam technology and computerized dentistry. Between 2005 to 2007, I completed a comprehensive educational program in dental implantology including treatment planning, surgical techniques, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry through Pacific Implant Institute of British Columbia, Canada. Since 2008 I have participated a mini residency in orthodontic studies offered by Progressive Orthodontic System (the leader of Orthodontic Education in the world). In 2014 I completed a Master of Science in Orthodontics from International Medical College of Munster Germany.

Since 2000 I have been heavily involved with Multicare Thoracic surgeons to conduct thorough diagnosis and treatment of oral infections in cardiac surgery candidates prior to their heart operations to insure a positive outcome.

My professional memberships include Greater Puget Sound Seminars study club/Seattle study club (internationally recognized), Ever Green Cad-Cam study club, Doctors Organization for Conscious Sedation (Fellow), International Congress of Oral implantologists (Fellow), American academy of Oral Implantologists, Academy of General Dentistry, American/ Washington/ Pierce County Dental Association. I am a fellow of University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry Alumni (JD Robertson Society). I am an Alumni of Pacific Implant Institute of Vancouver British-Columbia. I have served as president, and delegate, of Pierce County Dental Society (PCDS) and a member of Washington States budget and Finance Committee (2012-2016). I have been a constant financial supporter of JD Robertson Society, University of Oklahoma, Washington state and Pierce County Oral Health foundation and Symphony Tacoma.

I have always believed all of us must share our knowledge with others. Through the years my dental office has been a place for all of my colleges and peers to come and get education at various levels. From rotating dental assistant students to experience dentists, we have shared with them our humble knowledge and experience. I have also been a featured speaker in many dental gathering and conferences at home and abroad. This journey will go on for rest of my life.

My life philosophy is that we should all strive to minimize and eliminate human suffering. Since I am a believer in our local and global communities, I try to stay active in social organizations as well. I have been a lifelong financial and moral supporter of The United Nations World Childrens Fund, Care International, Feed the Children, American Red Cross, Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, Doctors Without Borders, Sight Flight, Oxfam, Tacoma Rescue Mission, Tacoma homeless connect, American Second Harvest, Salvation Army, Project Hope, American Association of Multiple Sclerosis, American Heart Association, American diabetic Association, March of Dimes, Smile Train, Nature Conservancy, World Vision and Habitat for Humanity. As an earth lover, I have advocated pro-environment practices and policies and for the past several years, my office has earned and maintained (the highest) Five Star title given to businesses by Pierce County Health Department/ enviro star program.

My dental practice philosophy is that every patient should be treated as an individual who deserves the best dental care possible. I try to achieve this by respecting and listening to my patients and staying abreast of current dental knowledge and technology. It is my honor to serve my community in any capacity.

The dentist isn't on everyone's list of exciting places to visit BUT Dr. Norooz and his team are pure magic!!! I have severe(really severe) dental anxiety and they are so patient, walked me through everything step by step so I knew what was happening and explained the 'why' behind treatment needed and my options. Dr. Norooz was beyond gentle..literally I felt nothing..its the first time I haven't cried or ended up needing nitrous because I'm so anxious and scared. My mouth isn't sore, they saved my tooth(and im pain free) and I'm confident that my next visit will be my first dentist visit ever with a smile on my face as I walk in because I already know how safe and cared for I will be. Thankful for that gift of relief so i can stay on top of my dental care without fear!! If you or your kids need that extra support, patience, gentle care or even sedation let Dr. Norooz and his team show you how amazing a trip to the dentist can be!! Tell them Mimi says Hi!!

Had a filling chip that was a few years old, came here after reading good reviews. Had a cleaning done and was told I had multiple other cavities, I didn't care though because I only wanted the one tooth fixed. When I scheduled the appointment for the filling I stated I only wanted the ONE tooth fixed. At the appointment, after the drilling ended and I was left in the room alone for about 15 minutes I looked inside my mouth and saw I had THREE teeth that were drilled into four stumps essentially. Fine whatever the dentist said he will drill extra tooth away to prevent chipping and tooth decay under the fillings. Well I got hit with a bill three times what I was expecting considering I only wanted one tooth done. Won't have to worry about those teeth now right? Wrong! It hasn't even been that long and now ALL THREE teeth have chipped! No wonder my jaw has been sore/hurting since then. I have the same issue I went in there with but times three now! What a great waste of money! I wouldn't let them near my mouth again even if they offered to fix it for free.

Dr. Norooz and his team are second to none! I came to his office because I needed to be sedated to have a tooth pulled and his office does sedation... or so I thought... My previous experiences with dentists have led me to believe that I am difficult if not impossible to numb. I also was so stressed out by the thought of another dental visit that I just wanted my tooth taken out so I could be done with it! I showed up to his office for the preliminary exam on edge with all the thoughts of how this could go wrong. Dr. Norooz has a very calm and kind demeanor and between that and his knowledge of dentistry, through our conversation he set my mind at ease and even talked me out of having my perfectly savable tooth pulled and to instead go for a root canal. This was in light of his experience where he expressed that I might not even need to be sedated because he thought it very possible he would be able to numb me. Upon the day of my root canal I showed up wanting to try without sedation but he left that option on the table just in case. Dr. Norooz was able to numb me very effectively. The only pain I experienced was the initial needle poke! He was even so conscious of pain reduction that he used a technique to reduce the pain of the anesthetic injection as well! Without a doubt this is the place to go! The rest of the staff is also very kind. I felt very comfortable given the circumstances and I know you will too!

I had a very bad experience recently at Dr, Norooz's office. Firstly, his staff is very rude. I was never greeted when I came in. Also ,his hygienist interrupted a conversation that I was having with the dentist. When I stopped her intrusive behavior she went and told the receptionist and I could hear her all the way down the hall. In addition , I had an infected tooth and Dr. Norooz did not offer an antibiotic and did not want to listen to my concerns. While his concept is one stop denistry. I feel that he tries to do too much and the quality of the visit really suffers! I also did not feel like he cared or listened to my concerns. He pretends to be catering to people who suffer anxiety associated with the dentist but in my situation I feel that he was the source.

I have horrible anxiety regarding going to the dentist. I was referred by my dentist to go here. From my first phone call to my actual appt where I was sedated it was absolutely amazing. Every single staff member was so kind Dr. Norooz was absolutely amazing and made me feel at ease as soon as he walked in for my consult. I could t have had a better experience. He even called in the evening to make sure I was doing okay. I've never had that happen before and it was so nice.

Our family highly recommends One Stop Dentistry! They gladly took on the challenge of performing x-rays and cleaning for our daughter that has autism. She is extremely afraid to have anyone touch her. Dr. Norooz did an amazing job with our daughter. He sedated her just enough to perform all that needed to be done. We were so happy with the overall experience. We will definitely continue to go to One Stop Dentistry.

I've been looking for a dentist office that does more than just a cleaning then refers everything else out. This office does everything in house! That saves time and money. Dr. N is very skilled, knowledgeable, personable and nice. His staff is top notch, they make you feel comfortable and at ease. I'm so glad I found them!

I arrived to my first appointment today to be greeted by a receptionist not wearing a mask. I calmly and politely asked what the masking policy was and she said she didn't have to wear one since she was behind plexi -glass and that no one else was in waiting room (though me and my daughter were). She seemed very irritated with me for even asking and stated that she would wear one if it made ME more comfortable several times before actually putting one on. I told her that I work in healthcare and was just very surprised to walk into a dental office and see staff unmasked. The receptionist found that my dental insurance was showing as inactive, which resulted in me having to make several calls to Delta Dental, my health insurance, and HR of the company I work for to get it sorted out so ultimately was not seen, but I consider it a blessing in disguise. I would not recommend this place if staff are not required to wear masks during a pandemic as they are offering healthcare services and especially treating a potential patient rudely for asking about their policy.

First of all the upfront women are Amazing and kind! The dentist is a horrible person. He literally said to me and the office( as he shouted from the exam room to the front desk staff) that I want to bounce around the country and Mexico looking for a rich man since I had mentioned that I would like to see the quickest options I have since I'm moving out of state. I am a woman of a previous D V situation that is LGBQT and am insulted I had paid $94 for an office announcement that I am going to bounce around the US and Mexico looking for a rich man when I DO NOT date men This is unacceptable behavior and insult to women to be empowered and able to afford and care for themselves He acts and laughs at women ( like me) creating a beautiful life as he assumes from his position of degree Women must rely on men to survive Also the pics he posts on makeovers take years of work

I am a patient for the past few years. Dr. Norooz has done fillings, bone/implants. I needed four implant had two done. One had to have bone added. Everything went well no infection. Most important is to do the aftercare exactly how the doctor prescribe. I previously have seen other dentist who could not do all and any procedure I need. That meant I had see different dentist. Dr. Norooz "One Stop Dentistry exactly that, He does everything and a very good job. All staff are friendly and professional. Everyone make you feel at home. People have complaint about his price. He is worth it and sometime more. I and my daughter are patient have recommend others to him. Keep up the good work Dr. Norooz and staff.
