Dr. Mittal is passionate about orthodontics. Not just the science behind it, but also the chance to develop long-lasting relationships with her patients. Born and raised in Springfield, Dr. Mittal graduated as a valedictorian from Hayfield Secondary School. She received a dual degree in Biology and Sociology from the University of Virginia followed by a DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia/VCU Dental. While in dental school, Dr. Mittal was active in student leadership (ASDA), president of her Dental Fraternity (DSD), and volunteered with Mission of Mercy (MoM) projects in underserved areas of Virginia. She went to Indiana University to complete her specialty training in orthodontics and a Master of Science, where her research was published in The Angle Orthodontist. Having served communities in Reston, Manassas, Woodbridge and Fredericksburg, Dr. Mittal is thrilled to finally serve patients in the same community which fostered her growth and development. Dr. Mittal met her husband, a U.S. Marine Corps Reservist, at UVA and they are smitten with their two little girls.
Our managing partner, Dr. Berman, is a former patient of the Springfield office, so this is a homecoming for him. He has lived in Northern Virginia his entire life, graduating from Langley High then attaining his Bachelors degree from the University of Virginia followed by a DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He went on to receive specialty training in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Berman has been a board-certified orthodontist for over 20 years, successfully owns orthodontic offices in Falls Church and Franklin Farm, and is very active in the dental community. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.
Hes placed his trust in Drs. Mittal and Berman to take over care for his former patients. Dr. Bagden has studied and refined a revolutionary technique, the Damon System, that gives patients more efficient results. He has been a speaker on this technique in 40+ countries, is a Certified Damon Instructor ( a certification given to less than 25 orthodontists in the US), and has a true passion for treating his patients. His energy and enthusiasm dont stop there. He also enjoys running marathons, cooking, and discovering new interests. Dr. Bagden is enjoying his retirement with his wife Kathy, five children, and six grandchildren.

An Orthodontist that actually wants to know your history and know what will work best for you in your daily life. If I ever have any problems this will be the only office I go to in the area!

I agree the office staff is super nice. The problem is the dentist gave me an estimate of $7700 for Invisalign when all I needed was Invisalign touch up which cost $1400. I've had braces before and I notice one tooth had moved. The One Smile Orthodontist evaluates my teeth and says the tooth has moved 2mm with some elevation. She says it's not bad enough I have to fix it, but I can if I want to. The estimate for Invisalign is $7700 and metal braces is $5400; and these prices are with their "discounts" for prior patients of Dr Bagden. I am shocked at the price and decide to get two more estimates. Two of my friends ' kids have braces so I get references from them. Both orthodontist tell me I am the perfect client for Invisalign touch up, cost $1400. AND the weird thing is the number of trays and timeline estimates is the same for all 3 orthodontists. So it certainly seems like the One Smile Orthodontist was going to put me in Invisalign touch up, but charge me $7700.

My "wasband", son and daughter and I have all been patients of this practice going back to the 80's starting w Dr. Wallert, then Dr Bagden and then Dr. Coffelt. Dr Bagden was such an amazing man and orthodontist and I consider him a dear friend. That being said, I can not say enough nice things about Dr. Mittal. What a great lady and boy does she know her stuff. I had an "emergency" and when I called I was expecting to be given an appointment in two weeks or so. The front desk ladies are super nice and I was given an appointment in 3 days. Boy I was I happy and relieved. Dr Mittal is a joy to deal with and helped me tremendously with an issue I have been dealing with. She took such care to make sure I would get the help I needed and it made me feel so taken care of. The young cute girl that took my pictures today and did all the 3D renderings was also sweet and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful and so clean. I'm immunocompromised and had no qualms taking my mask off to be seen. If I could give them 10 's I would. I have recommended them to at least 25 people over the years and EVERYONE that received treatment from them has always been so happy. It's nice to know that you are in great hands especially when you are spending a lot of money for you or your children on something as important as your teeth and smile. You will not regret choosing this practice and the wonderful and funny Dr M **Just an update to add** I went to Dr. Mittal to help me with a retainer as I was having trouble eating after loosing an additional tooth. The first retainer did not seat properly and the fake teeth were really small. I went back in and we spoke about changes and she had the company make a new retainer or a flipper as they are called. I went back in and Dr M was absolutely incredibly. It took many many attempts to get it properly fitted and to get the teeth shaved down for my bite. Again, she was utterly fantastic in helping me. The lab tech that worked on my retainer did a great job also. This took in all about an hour and I left with a huge beautiful smile and I want to say how grateful I am to all of them. From the wonderful front desk staff to the great technicians and especially Dr. Mittal. You are all AMAZING and I appreciate you all you all do. Thank you soooooooo much

One Smile has been amazing! My daughter is turning 16 in August and finally getting her braces off! She had braces three years and they were very patient and communicated well throughout the entire process! I highly recommend them!

I just got spacers put in and I'm now going to get a expander . I really like how they do things here it's quick easy and fast! They are always on time with everything and they are always having fun and in a good mood!

Braces are not fun when you're eight, but Dr. Mittal and the staff at One Smile sure do their best to put their patients (and their parents) at ease. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They also remember every patient who walks through their doors. It makes a difference. We've had a great experience and will send all our friends.

I love how quickly I was able to see my smile change. I still have my braces on, but I love everything about it (besides the no marshmallows and popcorn rule) my mouth doesn't normally hurt, which I really appreciate, and I've become a lot more confident with my face, even with a mask :)

Both my sons have been going to this ortho for the last 2 years. They are super nice, and answer all my questions. They even text and are always available. The Apts are flexible and they follow up. We could not be happier
