With digital X-rays, we can spend less time waiting for images to be developed and more time actually treating you. Even better, the images are higher quality, and the process is more comfortable for you.
We use our intraoral camera to show you detailed images of your own mouth, giving you a dentists view of whats going on. This helps the patient to better understand their mouth, allowing them to make more confident decisions.
At One Smile Dental, our mission is to provide each patient with such an exceptional experience that theyre proud to refer us to their family and friends. We demonstrate this first by offering convenient hours and payment options in order to make our services easily accessible for everyone in our community. Secondly, we provide care in a calming, personable environment and treat each patient as a valued guest in our own house. Last but not least, were always striving for higher levels of professional excellence through continuing education and training in order to provide a consistently high standard of care.
In 2000, Dr. Collins graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree, asked his wife to marry him, and loaded his truck for the big move to dental school. He then continued his professional education at Indiana University School of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2004.
Armed with his new degree and a desire to make a difference in peoples lives, he joined the Indian Health Service and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Public Health Service. He served in the hospital facility at Santa Fe, NM working mainly with the Pueblo and Navajo tribes. Dr. Collins believes this unique opportunity gave him valuable experience interacting with different specialists and patients of all age groups, helping him see dental health as a team effort between not just doctor and patient, but family and community as well.
When his commission ended, he took a job in the private sector and quickly realized he wanted the freedom to be able to provide the same level of patient care he would want for his wife and family in a community he would be proud to call his home. While visiting Texas, he discovered Bastrop and after seeing the town and meeting some new friends, he decided this is where he wanted to open his office.
One Smile Dental opened its doors in May of 2012. Dr. Collins is proud of the quality of care One Smile Dental provides and strives to provide the best overall dental experience for all patients and their friends and relatives. After all, his family are patients here, too.

I drove all the way to Bastrop hoping to get a treatment plan and possibly get started on some of the treatment I needed I had 4,500 and dental insurance the total cost of my treatment was like $7,000 but they would not accept my $4,500 or do anything to get started towards my dental work I need it so unless you have every single dollar you need for the treatment or a great credit don't waste your time oh and they bundle all the prices together into one price so you can't see how much they're charging for anything specific

One Smile Center in Bastrop really impressed me. Idania was very professional and courteous and did a great job explaining differences in implants, other options, the procedures and even healing timesa and what to expect during the first couple of days. I had had two previous consultations at other dental offices and they basically told me that I needed an implant and a crown and gave me prices. I was not very impressed at all. One Smile Center gave me that warm cozy feeling knowing that I was making the right decision choosing their office. I highly recommend this dental office.

Called this dentist Saturday for an emergency pain in back of mouth near bottom of 1 tooth, and what appeared to be my gum separated from by back tooth. I called right at opening, a lady answered, I asked if there was any chance of getting an appointment that day, she said YES, then follows up with asking if I'm a new patient or previous, I said new, I just moved here, then magically she can't get me in. After running a fever in my mouth all night and high pain to the point of barely able to talk, this was highly frustrating and rude. Don't recommend based on front office lying and not willing to help someone in need. I was willing to do all new patient stuff, exam, x-rays etc. I was desperate for relief.

I had mini inplants 2 years ago im having issues now,and my inplants need to come off for repair. I was so worried I didn't have more money to spend Dr.Collins says Barb they come with a 5 year warranty you will have absolutely no out of pocket expense, I cried and gave him a hug he truly stands by his work..I highly recommended him he stands by his work and cares about his patients.

Only dentist you'll ever need!! A few years ago my one of my wisdom teeth had broken, become infected, absessed and was on the brink of impaction. No dentist would take me on because of how bad it was, so my wife took me here. These amazing people not only did the evaluation right then and there but set up an instantaneous appt two days later to do the procedure and worked tirelessly to remove every broken piece with precision and care. We have past dental trauma from other places but these wonderful people did nothing short of a miracle, we felt so welcomed, safe and cared for! I'm now in league with them again for a bad tooth problem that, again, a dentist said was a no go for saving and withing five minutes the dentist here told me she could not only save it but do most everything in one day for an absolutely AMAZING price!! This place is absolutely untouchable when it comes to kindness, understanding, care and price! This is the ONLY dentist we will ever go to, hands down!

Love my dentist! You can't top 30 minutes for a cleaning and exam with x-rays. Techs are awesome too and the desk staff greets you by name.
