Dr. Lawrence Fine has been practicing dentistry in Oak Park for over 40 years, providing high-quality dental care to thousands of patients along the way. He is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry, where he returned to teach dentistry for a number of years. Dr. Fine is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. He has been active in the Oak Park community and has dedicated his spare time to working for the Oak Park/River Forest Infant Welfare Society.

Dr. Fine is often asked What keeps you going so long? his answer is always simple and heartfelt he thrives on the love for his patients and his profession. He has served as the owner of One Fine Smile, which stood as a dental practice many years before Dr. Fine made the purchase, in fact, at over 90 years old this is the oldest existing dental practice in Oak Park.

In his spare time, Dr. Fine loves to spend time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He feels truly blessed to have had the opportunity to spend so many wonderful years taking care of his patients, who have become his second family.

Dr. Judy Drain is a proud graduate of the Loyola University School of Dentistry class of 1993 and she has been practicing General and Cosmetic dentistry in Oak Park since 1995. Dr. Drain has also held memberships in the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and state and local dental associations.

She has always held that a bright smile reveals much about a person, this belief, and a desire to enhance the smile of her patients is why she enjoys practicing dentistry. Dr. Drain truly understands the transformative results of cosmetic and functional dental work and its lasting positive impact on image and self-esteem. As part of her commitment to transforming the smiles, Dr. Drain is a current provider of ClearCorrect, one of the leaders in invisible aligner orthodontic treatments.

Dr. Drain has a long history of community involvement and service. She has been an active participant in health fairs throughout Chicagoland where she reaches out to adults and children alike to provide dental health care information and support. Dr. Drain has also worked in the Chicago Public School System providing dental screenings to children from grades K-5.

She strongly believes in educating her patients about dental health to empower them to make informed decisions and properly care for their smiles at home. While away from the office, she enjoys spinning fitness class, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Cleo Cheney grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from The University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She attended dental school at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and graduated in 2017.

After dental school graduation, she completed an advanced one-year General Practice Residency with the Veterans Affair Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She trained in sedation dentistry, advanced endodontics, oral surgery, dental implant placement, prosthodontics, and gum surgery. She has also recently completed coursework to be certified in botox and dermal filler placement through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

For the last three years, Dr. Cheney has been an associate in a private practice near Salt Lake City. Outside of private practice, Dr. Cheney has also been donating her time at two underserved dental clinics. She is excited to now be returning home.

Dr. Cheney is married to her husband Cole Cheney, who is a Physician completing his pain medicine fellowship and MBA at Northwestern. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, camping, and skiing.

Michael McCafferty has spent his entire life in the Western Chicago suburbs. He received his Dental degree from the Loyola School of Dentistry in 1986 and has spent 35 years practicing General & Family Dentistry in the Oak Park, River Forest area. His focus has always been on providing the highest quality dentistry available while meeting his patients needs and building relationships. Dr. McCafferty has extensive experience in the restorative, prosthetic, cosmetic and endodontic aspects of dentistry.

Dr. Chowdhury earned his dental degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where he continued to complete his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) and Dental Implant Fellowship. He has extensive experience in advanced dentistry, which has been the focus of his continuing education efforts. After his residency, fellowship, and private practice in Saint Louis, MO, Dr. Chowdhury decided to return home to Chicago.

A former Clinical Instructor at Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Chowdhury continues to serve as a mentor for aspiring dental professionals as adjunct faculty at Midwestern University Dental School. He is also an esteemed Fellow of the Academy of General Dentists, International Congress of Oral Implantology, and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant dentistry.

Cindy is our office manager here at One Fine Smile. Her passion is to empower employees to work at their highest level, stay inspired and to be efficient. She has two children and her hobbies revolve around health and wellness. She is beyond caring and hard-working and would drop everything for anyone who needs her. Shes a treat to have in the office.

Pam has been a part of the One Fine Smile team for 15 years. You can often find her at the front desk. Her bubbly and friendly personality allows for patients to feel comfortable and welcome. She views the team and the patients as family. Her hobbies include traveling and spending time with her husband, two kids and her dog.

Pamela, aka Vivian, has been with One Fine Smile for 10 plus years. Vivian loves being a team player and is always very helpful in making sure all your questions and concerns are addressed. She treats all patients like family. She loves spending her free time with her husband and three kids.

Rene has been working as an assistant in the dental field for 18 years. She enjoys interacting with the patients and making them feel at ease during their dental procedures. When she is not at work, Rene loves spending time with her husband, two kids and two doggies.

Thalia has been in the dental field since 2013 and has been with the One Fine Smile team for four years as a dental assistant, helping Dr. Judy Burgess-Drain educating patients with their oral health. She also helps us with some light duties in the reception area, and is an awesome team player. She likes to learn new things and believes challenges help us become better in every aspect of life. When shes not at work she loves to spend time with family, friends and her furry babies. She also loves to dance to Latin music and go shopping.

Cecilia is one of our assistants here at One Fine Smile. She is a biology major pursuing her degree into pediatrics and plans to take her knowledge to provide to children in foreign countries where healthcare is limited. In her free time she is always surrounded by nature and loves traveling/exploring Europe. Having her work at One Fine Smile we help her achieve her overall goals by interacting with patients ranging from all ages but also challenging her abilities. Shes a very kind-hearted, down to earth person who is always lending a helping hand. We are delighted to have her as part of our team.

Rosa Castro graduated from Loyola University where she earned her BS in Dental Hygiene. While attending Loyola she met her husband Joe, they just celebrated 39 years of marriage. From there she went on to earn her masters from Northwestern University and has been practicing hygiene since 1980. Rosa loves to travel,enjoys movies, is an avid reader and is fluent in Italian, her passion for her profession is evident in her concern for the well being and health of her patients. She has a daughter Jessica, her pride and joy, who works for Kraft and just earned her masters in business.
