Dr. Kim strongly believes in the power of continuing education and advanced technology and is committed to helping his patients make wise and informed decisions about their own oral health.
Working as an Associate Dentist in fast-paced and diverse dental offices in San Francisco provided Dr. Kim valuable opportunities to manage a large patient base and to work on many clinically challenging cases. Throughout the years, his vision and passion for a personalized and relationship-focused dental clinic solidified, and from such vision and passion, began ONE DENTAL.
Dr. Kim graduated from UC Berkeley where he studied Pre-Med and Economics. After graduating from college, Dr. Kim worked for a few years as a dental assistant, getting a glimpse into the world of dentistry. When he confirmed his passion for dentistry, Dr. Kim moved to New York to pursue his education and training for a dentist and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University School of Dentistry. While attending NYU, Dr. Kim was admitted to a highly competitive Student Honors program and spent hundreds of hours volunteering in many underprivileged communities in New York City.
Dr. Kim grew up in Monterey, CA a place he wishes to retire in someday. Dr. Kims passion for dentistry stemmed from personal experiences that are deeply imprinted in his memory till this day. Growing up, Dr. Kim wasnt always privileged to receive timely and high-quality dental care, and he learned the importance of preventive dental care the hard way. His childhood photos, in which his face is severely swollen due to untreated tooth decay, reminded Dr. Kim of an experience that he wished was never repeated by anyone else. What started out as a simple wish to make dental care more readily available to everyone led Dr. Kim to his career as a dentist.

First visit and SO impressed. I'm very anxious and have avoided getting work done but I decided to go in and get a consult. Everyone was so warm and helpful, I've made an appointment to return for a tooth extraction.

This is basically the best dentist I have ever had. The office is totally different than a traditional office. The staff was awesome, the ambiance was awesome (it made me feel happy) and the music in the background while I was at my dentist appointment was awesome. The cool part is that even though they have state of the art equipment that I had never seen before, I felt no pain. I guess the two tv screens that you get to watch Netflix on while they are working on you distracts from any discomfort. I have a deep cleaning soon, and I expect a good experience!

As long as you tell the head honcho, the dentist, what dental procedures you will approve and what you will not go along with on your very first meeting there should be no problem. Flashy TV, Netflix, very polite staff, and pleasant decor.

I didn't think such a dentist would exist. 1) great bedside manners 2) smooth end to end patient experience 3) are knowledgeable and can explain things very well and transparently incl. how your insurance works 4) high tech 5) professional staff 6) reasonable recommendations 7) willing to go above and beyond for the patient I'm recommending this dental office all my friends and fam.

Very satisfying experience, I had a very first visit on this Friday , got appointment on the same day. Staff is excellent, very well trained and respectful. Very clean place. Dr. David Kim is very professional. Thank you so much for the return gift box

While the office is very modern and clean, the real stars of the show are Dr. Kim and his staff! The front desk team is knowledgeable about insurance, and always willing to help out when I need more information. My regular hygienist always does a very thorough (but delicate!) job on my routine cleanings. Dr. Kim himself doesn't pressure you into any operations you're not ready to do. In my case, he recommended getting a crown for one of my molars, and he was willing to keep tabs on it during my visits. I did eventually get the crown done, and no complaints so far!

Wonderful establishment- great service, amazing office, Dr is very nice. Loved that he is a straight shooter, doesn't suggest procedures unnecessarily. You get a thoughtful gift as a first time client too! Best dentist I've ever been to so far.

I never had such an experience with dentist. I trusted the high rating and did not pay off. The charge for the procedure was high and during procedure it seemed like dentist was in a hurry to finish. If that wasn't enough I've been having such pain eating food that I was able to eat before. The worst is that I wasn't feeling any pain before going to dentist was going there for a simple Cleanup and by dentist recommendation he told me to perform filling. I guess I should never had trusted it since I never ever had to perform filling before and like said my tooth wasn't hurting. So some people might have luck with him but I tell you if you don't feel any pain don't let him perform any procedure on you you might regret later. Now I will have to pay the double because I don't trust going back for third time to have this resolved. I will have to find another Dentist and have it done properly this time. Sorry I wish I could give better review.

Welcoming front desk, clean and brightly lit. Staff is cordial, professional and efficient. No wait time. Dr. Kim explains the options and let you decide what is best. Highly recommend.
