For Dr. Tom Pittaway, dentistry is more than a career. He comes from a family of dental professionalshis mother was a dental hygienist, and he was born in Germany while his father was stationed there as a dentist and orthodontist. The Pittaway family eventually settled in Calgary, Alberta, where he spent his childhood. After graduating from Gonzaga University and Washington University School of Dental Medicine, his dental career began high in the Canadian Arctic as a mobile dentist for three years. Then, he moved to Hawaii, where he practiced private and mobile dentistry for three years with brother and dentist Dr. John Pittaway. In 1993, Dr. Tom moved to Kalispell to take over a private practice from Drs. Fred Allen and Robert Orser.
The practice has seen many changes since then. Dr. Tom believes his patients deserve the very best, and he makes it a priority to incorporate the latest in dental technology and science into his practice. He is the Flathead Valleys only graduate and clinical instructor for the world-renowned Kois Center, a dental technology leader which provides clinical education for dentists. Kristina was born in North Carolina and raised in Northern California where she spent time on her families ranch. She moved to Flathead Valley in 2004 to pursue a lifestyle of the outdoors and a place to raise her kids. She enjoys hunting, skiing, camping, and anything the outdoors has to offer her family. Kristina has been part of Dr. Pittaways team since 2016 and is in charge of the medical billing for sleep medicine. She also has training in our Healthy Start program for pediatric airways and sleep medicine.
Brianna was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. In 2015 she moved to Flathead Valley where she started her career in the dental field. During the summer of 2018, she joined Dr. Pittaways team and has become a huge asset to our team. She is happily married and they enjoy spending time on the lake, camping, and with family.
Lynn grew up near Seattle, Washington, and has been a registered dental hygienist since 1997. Aside from general dentistry, she also has several years experience working for a periodontist where she furthered her education in periodontal disease and therapy. Therefore, she takes seriously her commitment to helping our patients maintain their dental health. Her understanding and calm nature make her a great addition to Dr. Pittaways team because she makes our patients feel welcome and at ease. Lynn has resided in Kalispell, Montana, since 2012 and spends her time with her family fishing, hunting, and hiking.
Melissa was born in McCall, Idaho, and moved to Flathead Valley in 2001. She attended college at MSU & FVCC. She has been a dental assistant since 2016. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with her husband.
Hannah was born and raised in Northern Minnesota. She moved to Montana in 2016 to study dental assisting at Salish Kootenai College. Hannah has been working in the dental field since, and she joined the team at One Dental Care Center in August 2020. In her free time she enjoys spending time at the lake, kayaking, or fishing with her family.
Amber Wink is a graduate of Columbia Falls High School and a native to Flathead Valley. She is a graduate of CSI in Southern Idaho with her Associate of Science degree in pre-dental hygiene, as well as Sheridan College in Wyoming where she received her degree in dental hygiene in 2002, graduating with high honors. During college she participated in rotations at the VA and IHS. She has been a practicing dental hygienist for over 18 years.
During her free time, she enjoys watching her children compete in their various sporting activities. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family hunting, fishing, and camping. Her favorite hobby is canning pickles and jams and trying out new recipes.
