June 1996 - June 1998, Dr. Beltgens served as an Associate Clinical Professor of General Dentistry at the Kansas City Free Health Clinic. July 1998 - August 2000, Dr. Beltgens worked as an Associate dentist of General Practice at the Dental Corner of Wichita, Kansas. July 1999 - August 2000, Dr. Beltgens volunteered General Dentistry services at the Wichita Good Samaritan Dental Clinic. September 2000 - Present, Dr. Beltgens owns and operates a General Dental Practice called Once Upon A Smile in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Doc and the staff are thorough in everything they do. Our dental insurance has a hard time holding pediatric dentists, so I finally brought my kids to my dentist. They were friendly and gentle with my kids and helped them feel at ease, which is especially a big deal for one of my kiddos.

Going to the Dentist hasn't always been a great experience in the past for me. It's different today since I have been a patient at Once Upon A Smile. The entire team is amazing and has went above and beyond to change my past experiences. Doctor Beltgins address not only dental needs but my overall health. I highly recommend them based upon my 8-9 years as being there patient. I no longer dread the idea of sitting in that chair!!!

This dental office refuses to check numbers after you give them to them. I have been waiting over a month and a half with these people leaving messages giving insurance information and then calling back saying I have not had insurance after December 31st of 2021 they obviously don't want to double check their numbers to my numbers. Leaves me to believe they don't need the business and don't care about customers or new patients they continually argue with you and then once you threaten to leave a review they call you back and call you back and call you back my advice would be to find a brighter dental office that knows what they're doing and wants new patients. Stay away from once upon A smile because you're sure to leave with a frown every time. I would give them zero Stars that unfortunately you have to leave one. Don't waste your time on once upon A smile. I'm just very disappointed thought they were a reputable dental office but now not so much.

I have sensitive teeth & gums & the team really cares to be gentle & offer me numbing mouthwash. Beltgens & staff cares all the way from eating/health habits down to the type of toothpaste to use...this is a great place to choose for dental care.

Apparently an emergency took place while I was there. While I was having maintenance done I was told about a new cleaning procedure but it wasn't done after everyone disappeared and when someone finally came back I was sent home without any information about my x-ray results.

I had a wonderful experience here. Everyone there was super kind and extremely helpful. Natalie truly cares about you, but not only your dental health, your overall health. I really appreciated that, and will only go to once upon a smile for my dental needs. I would recommend to anyone!

I absolutely LOVE this office! Dr. Beltgens has organized and orchestrated her office like a well-choreographed dance! They are incredible time-managers, getting you in and out on time! If you have a health concern - it becomes their concern and their consistency in addressing and tracking it is incredible! I've never seen such an in-depth health history assessment in a dental office, but Dr. Beltgens looks at your dental health in the context of your whole health picture, and not you as just an isolated pair of choppers! This office routinely starts your visit by making you as comfortable as possible, such as with lumbar support or a quilt if needed. They are very sensitive at the earliest sign of discomfort, should it even arise, to immediately quell it! I'm a recently retired RN, old enough to have decades of dental care history from which to compare Dr. Beltgens' office, and I have been so impressed since insurance allowed me to change to her 2-3 years ago! Now my adult daughters are her loyal patients as well. Every time I go to this office I have the most pleasant experience (I used to be phobic about dental work!) and feel very confident about the care I received and the information I was given there! Their obvious competency and professionalism, along with their kind and compassionate care give me great pleasure in giving them my highest recommendation!

Felt really comfortable the minute I walked into the office. The hygienist was with me from start to finish and made sure all my dental needs were met. A week later I received a text checking in and was able to speak with the dentist over text message which was great. They kept me updated about my pre-authorizations and upcoming appointments. Will Continue to be seen here!

Today, was my first visit with the office and I am happy to share that this group was awesome! I'm not a big fan of the the dentist but today I was put at ease from the front desk staff on to the Dr. Beltgens. They took their time to get to know me as a new patient, they were gentle with my cleaning, and educated me on how to keep my teeth in good health as I start a treatment plan. I'm so glad that I found this office. It's a 40 min drive from my house but well worth it!

Today was our first visit to Once Upon A Smile and we couldn't be a happier family. Our teeth appear cleaner than our previous dentist to which I was surprised, I previously thought clean teeth are clean teeth but I guess some people do a better job than others . The office is super comfortable for the entire family. The staff are perfectly professional and talented. Finally, the Dentist makes you comfortable and offers complete explanations. Also, they give you a game plan to perfect teeth. Who doesn't want to know what to expect and how to attain goals? I highly recommend based on my experience today.
