Dr. Michael Greding is originally from Thousand Oaks, California. He graduated with a bachelors degree in biology from BYU in 1997 and graduated from UOP Dental School in 2001 with honors. In 2001, he moved to Arizona. Dr. Greding has been married 23 years to wife, Carlie. They have 5 children, a daughter in law, a son in law and four grandchildren. Two girls and twin boys! In his spare time, he enjoys the gym, exercise, playing competitive baseball, water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing. Dr. Greding loves to travel with his family.
He has been a pioneer in CEREC dentistry and has been using the CEREC technology (same day crowns) since 2002; being one of the most experienced dentists in all of Arizona. In April of 2018, he joined the OnCall Dental family. Now, he has purchased the Tempe location and is incorporating all aspects of family, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry to the practicewhile still not forgetting emergency patients and relieving same-day pain.
Dr. Joshua Heyrend, DMD is originally from Idaho, but grew up in the Midwest. After high school, he served a church service mission in northern Italy and is fluent in Italian. He attended Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine, in California. Following dental school, he completed a post-graduate residency in Utah, where he had further training in dental emergencies, placing dental implants, removing impacted wisdom teeth, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatments, and more. During the pandemic and lockdown last year, Dr. Heyrend continued to see dental emergency patients and offered much needed treatment to patients. Dr. Heyrend, his wife, and their 3 sons moved to Arizona last year to be closer to family. They enjoy living in Arizona and the desert climate. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

They charge you up front then bill your insurance then they won't give you the reimbursement you are owed.

I found OnCall Dental 3 years ago when I chipped a tooth and found out that they had really reasonably priced dental plans for those with no insurance. Since that time because their dental team is so amazing and they're so close in location I continue to go back.

This dental practice may have saved my life by doing nothing. I was traveling for work and developed an impacted and infected wisdom tooth. After filling out paperwork and taking x-rays, I received a consultation from the dentist. He explained that my infection was severe and was migrating down my neck and jaw. Also the infected area was warm to the touch. He stated although he has removed these kinds teeth before he did not fell comfortable doing so. Also with the severity of my infection he said I needed to go to the ER. Thank God for his recommendation! I went to the ER where I was treated for the infection that was close to getting into my blood stream. Sometimes the best treatment is knowing when to not treat.

Dr. Greding is the BEST dentist in Tempe!! Since I was a child, I was afraid of dentists until I worked with Dr. Greding. He is not only knowledgeable and talented but has a warm demeanor that helped me overcome my fears. He removed my wisdom teeth, and I was expecting to go through a lot of pain. However, I did NOT feel any pain, in fact when he told me he was done I thought he was kidding! If you are looking for a great dentist who goes above and beyond for his patients, OnCall Dental is your place. I do not have the words to thank him enough!

My favorite thing is that, despite my teeth being in bad shape, I have never once been shamed about not doing enough to take care of my teeth. I struggle with depression, and I know I don't always take the best care of myself, in many ways. Never been shamed about it here, though. They just get to work on the problem as presented. Above and beyond that, the care is excellent. I am confident I am in expert hands. Had to have an extraction today, but never felt any pain in the office, and so far (11 hours after) the prescribed pain meds have been working well.

I received the best dental care I've ever had today. I will be returning to this location and recommending it to my family and friends. You can tell when you walk in that they care about their patients. I came in for a wisdom tooth extraction. Every single employee I spoke to was warm and welcoming both on the phone and when my partner and I went in, they were upfront and open about pricing/financing options, quick and courteous, very professional and very friendly. The appointment was quick but they clearly paid attention to every detail and prioritized my comfort and wellbeing the entire time. I left spending less than I thought I would. As someone who has been through traumatic dental experiences I couldn't be more pleased with the care I received.

I had a great experience with OnCall. The office is very easy to get a hold of and the receptionists are very friendly and helpful. I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. Greding did a great job explaining and answering all my questions pre-op. He was honest and straightforward while simultaneously keeping me calm. My operation went really well considering I had some GIANT teeth to pull. The office was incredibly accommodating in regards to any follow up appointments or questions I had post surgery. I highly recommend OnCall whether you're in a tight spot and need emergency care or if you are in search of a regular dentist. The staff at OnCall Dental Urgent Care made me feel like I had been a patient for years even though it was only my first time with them.

I don't leave reviews! But this experience was too good not to. Thank you to all the helpful staff at OnCall who made an emergency wisdom tooth infection/extraction so quick, painless, and smooth. I decided to get all 4 removed and I couldn't believe how fast I was in and out and the recovery has been very smooth as well. When Dr. Gredding said I wouldn't be going under for the operation I was a little nervous and my husband was skeptical (haha), but I could tell this was a person who wasn't kidding when he said he'd done probably literally thousands of these. He was quick and efficient but also did not make me feel rushed or pushed into things. I had never been here before but now I will probably be back for regular cleanings. Thank you to all at OnCall for your professionalism, cleanliness, and friendliness!

I had to go in to due to pain in one of my wisdom teeth. We wound up pulling all 4 but it was such an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor explained everything for the procedure in detail. The actual procedure he completed quickly with no pain. I didn't even realize he had finished the procedure it was so expertly done. I will definitely being going back.

I went there for ongoing pain in my jaw/teeth that was causing migraines, facial pain and ear pain and I wasn't sure of the problem. Doctor immediately knew the problem and showed me some pain relief techniques. Also got a quick referral to orthodontist. Although I was expecting to wait a long time, I wasn't waiting very long before I was seen and I was in and out of there in less than an hour. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Dr. Greding and his entire staff are amazing. From when you walk in the door to when you check out - everyone is warm and friendly. The hygienists are always gentle and fast. Who doesn't want to be at the dentist for less time? It goes quickly and everyone is always professional. Going to the dentist is actually fun.

I love this place! They are awesome people and they work really well. It is a little bit costly if you a have student worker income, but it is worth it. They are very trustful.
