Melissa has been the administrator at OMS Specialists since 2016. You will see her at all of our offices supporting and coaching our staff. Melissa came to OMS with 15 years of dental and management experience. Her passion is to develop people to their highest potential. She says, I strive to ensure our team has all the tools to ensure that our patients satisfaction is consistently obtained!
Chelcie is a graduate of the Minnesota State Community and Technical Colleges dental assisting program in Moorhead, MN. She has 14 years of clinical experience and is in her ninth year with OMS Specialists.
Craig joined the OMS Specialists team in 2021. Prior to that, he spent 23 years in radio broadcasting as a program director and on-air personality before pursuing marketing full-time in 2020. He enjoys meeting and networking with new people, building relationships within the oral surgery/dental field, and helping create brand awareness within our community.
Tom has been with OMS Specialists since 2011. He began his tenure as an implant treatment coordinator, educating patients on the benefits of dental implants. In 2018, he decided to extend his expertise into the field and join the marketing team as a professional relations coordinator. This role is perfect for Tom as he enjoys networking with members of the dental community!
Candice has been with OMS Specialists since 2007. She worked as a surgical assistant for ten years before moving into the implant treatment coordinator position at our New Brighton office. As an ITC, she enjoys giving patients a chance to have a full set of teeth so they can eat normal again! Challenging cases, where there is the most improvement for patients, are her favorite. She says, Every case is unique and the larger cases give me a rewarding challenge.
Abbey has been with OMS Specialists since 2015. Our Maple Grove office enjoys having her as their implant treatment coordinator. Her favorite part of being an ITC is the reward of being on a team that help people regain their confidence with their new smiles!
Jackie has been with OMS Specialists since 2004. At our Waconia office, she works as a surgical assistant, team lead, and implant treatment coordinator. She enjoys the process of working with patients from beginning to end to regain their confidence is with a new smile! Jackie graduated from Hennepin Technical College in 2002.
Nicole has been in the oral surgery field since 2016. She started with OMS Specialists in 2018, first as the Front Desk/Financial Coordinator at our Maple Grove location before transitioning into the ITC role at our Blaine office. Her favorite part of the position is the opportunity to build relationships with patients while educating them on the implant process.
Brooke has been with OMS since 2019 working as a front desk coordinator at our Edina location. She recently took on the role as an implant treatment coordinator. She enjoys being a part of the planning and organizing process for our implant procedures. Seeing the end result in the patients new smile is her favorite part of the job.

Overall very professional and organized office and we are grateful they helped with my 11 year old's tooth extraction this morning. However his aftercare was not supportive. He woke up from anesthesia very weepy and moody and the nurse caring for him was visibly irritated and impatient about it, which caused a really negative feedback loop between the two of them. My husband was doing everything he could to help and told the nurse that our son is a childhood cancer survivor with a dx of CPTSD as a result of many painful medical interventions over the years. She told my husband, "Yes, I know! I read his chart!", again in an irritated tone, as if either my son, who was coming out of sedation, or my husband, who was doing everything he could to keep the situation as calm as possible, were at fault and choosing to make things difficult. I share this feedback in the hope that it can be used to provide a more sensitive and child centered approach in the future. My son did not deserve to be scolded or shamed today.

Dr. Kirby Johnson and his team are extraordinary. I traveled up from Florida after hearing how amazing he and his team are. I have a fear of the dentist and Dr. Johnson not only fixed my wisdom teeth problem with little to no pain, but also made me feel completely comfortable during the entire process. I could not recommend him and his team enough. They are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

I went to see them to get a second opinion on getting all of my 4 wisdom teeth removed and I am glad I did. I noticed a difference as soon as I walked in. Surgeon Kirby Johnson and his staff we very through and very informative about the process and the procedure. I got all of my 4 wisdom teeth removed 1 week after the initial appointment, it was all very quick. You can tell they are all very good at what they do. I chose to go under for the procedure. I felt 100% comfortable at all times. When I woke up it was all done, everything went really well. They sent me home with everything I needed, supplies, prescriptions and a pint of ice cream! Their price was also very reasonable! Much better than a general dentist. I recommend OMS Specialist to anyone that isn't sure about a surgical procedure they need done just or needs a tooth pulled. Do yourself a favor, and just set up appointment, you'll be glad you did.

Wonderful caring staff. They were great with my daughter who was very nervous about having her wisdom teeth removed. Instructions were clear on discharge and it was overall a great experience. Would highly recommend their practice!

I really wish there was a sixth star. This group of people is absolutely stellar! I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Johnson and absolutely loved the experience! He communicates extremely well. With both of my surgeries, there were no surprises. He explained exactly what he was gonna and then followed through. I also had the pleasure of working with Abby, Carol, and Claudette. All three of these ladies were awesome to work with as well. I would 100% reccomend them to anyone looking for a quality experience with oral surgery.

All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. We waited for only 2 minutes and were seen quickly by the provider. Wonderful customer service and very impressed with how child friendly they were with my 7 year old. Will highly recommend!

Great staff and doctor. I had a tooth extracted and was a bit nervous. It went very smoothly as the doctor talked his way through every minute of the extraction. The assistant also put me at ease. I wouldn't go anywhere else for an extraction except for OMS
