Omnicare Orthodontics is a state-of-art facility providing the highest quality orthodontic care available. It is our top priority to protect the well-being of our valued patients. We are a bi-lingual office and currently have five employees. We are a family at OmniCare and we want you to become part of it too!
Dr Blume is a native of Colorado and came to Texas to attend Abilene Christian University where he received his undergraduate degree. After serving in the Army, he attended The University of Texas Dental Branch and received his D.D.S. degree. Dr Blume returned to the military where he served as an Air Force dentist for two years before returning to the University of Texas Dental Branch for his Specialty of Orthodontics.

Dr. Blume is currently a member of The American Association of Orthodontics, Texas Dental Association, Southwest Society of Orthodontics and participates in local study clubs. Dr. Blume continues education classes, ensuring the his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
Dr. Blume and his wife Jane have 5 children and 15 grandchildren which keeps them very busy. They are active members of The Highland Oaks Church in Dallas. In their spare time, they enjoy golf and traveling.

Dr. Blume and his staff are fantastic! They take their time, explain the process, and what you can expect. Dr. Blume and his staff were caring and available for my daughter Caleigh getting spacers and braces for the first time. They would call and check up on her since she is very sensitive to pain. I would choose OmniCare Orthodontics Every Time it's only been three weeks and we are already seeing progress. A 10+ in my book! CFlanigan

We decided to bring our son to get his braces and after 2 years of hard work from both parties my son ended up having a bad bite, we went back to them and their solution it was just stop using the retainers as everyone imagine all the work done was in vain. So my son's teeth ended up being unalligned again.

Do not recommend. Costumer service is great, but work is not. I went there for about 4 months or so and not a lot of progress was made. At 2 of my oppointments, I did not see the doctor, I only saw the hygienist. My teeth were going the wrong direction and some point and appointments would sometimes only be 2 minutes long. One appointment the doctor didn't look at me and the hygienist just decided she was gonna take off all my power chains. My teeth almost were never sore after appointments. I also have a friend who has been going here. She has had her braces on for 4 years, and while there has been progress, there is definatley not enough progress for having 4 years in braces. I switched to a new orthodontist and am much happier with the progress being made on my teeth. With Dr. Blume, they required me to get 6 teeth extracted and my new ortho told me that pulling that many teeth was not necessary but it was fixable.

We have had nothing but amazing experience with Dr Blume and his staff. I have one well into his braces and another getting them next week. Highly recommend Omni Ortho to anyone I know.

I have known Dr. Richard Blume for over 30 years and I have never known of a patient that hasn't loved Dr. Blume! He has always done patients and children of patients. He is dedicated to his work and totally respected by his colleagues. In the years I have known him he has never had a disgruntled patient. He has done my son and grandchildren. Professional and excellent Orthodontist!

I have taken my kids here and I have had work done myself. Dr. Bloom is very nice and knowledgeable in his field and has a really good staff behind him that has taken good care of my kids.

"Great staff! Dr. Blume is amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs braces! Both my sons had braces done by Dr. B and Linda worked out a way for me to be able to afford to have both my kids in braces as the same time Thanks guys keep up the good work.

Best place/service ever... Went the first time a few weeks ago and came back for a follow up. It has been the best service ever. I recommended the facility to family and friends and they have not been disappointed either. Thelma, Jessica and Linda have been a great big help keeping my nerves calm as well. Thank you ladies for all your support and keeping it affordable too. Can't wait to see you again.

I've worked for Doctor Blume for 10+ yrs and it is disheartening to see our practice that has been at 5 stars since the beginning go to 3 stars in less than 24 hours over non patients giving us one star reviews out of malice. He has been in practice 30+ years successfully for a reason! It's sad that as a business our hands are tied, and at their mercy.

Omnicare is a GREAT place for orthodontic care. I am a patient as well as my two teenagers. Dr Bloom has in-depth techniques and experience that most ortho care doctors do not have. Plus, Omnicare is very affordable. I saved thousands of dollars!!! If you need braces Dr Bloom is the right choice.
