We provide a comprehensive range of dental services, including preventative, restorative, pediatric, cosmetic and implant dentistry, root canal therapy, Invisalign, full mouth rehabilitation, and more.

Dr. Hanlon and his team ensure your peace of mind in one simple but important way we listen. We meet your needs, hear your concerns, answer your questions, and welcome your comments. Youre always in control of your dental care; treatment starts, and stops, when you say so.

Keeping up with technology isnt just trendy; it's vital to your health and comfort. The latest in dental technology helps us conclude procedures faster, with more accuracy and less pain. High-tech instruments and processes also produce less waste, which provides a benefit to the entire planet. Here are some examples of how we use cutting-edge technology at Omni Dental.

Dental cone beam CT scanners produce a three-dimensional image of your jaws and surrounding anatomy. This imaging is invaluable for the purposes of placing dental implants. It creates three-dimensional images (called volumes') in exquisite detail, which allow Dr. Hanlon to accurately and effectively place implants. If necessary, this technology can be used to create 3D-printed implant guides for an even greater level of precision.

Injection of conventional local anesthesia can be uncomfortable. This isnt ideal, since the purpose of anesthesia is to prevent pain! At Omni Dental, we use buffered anesthesia to help eliminate this problem. As compared to conventional anesthesia, buffered anesthesia has a pH much closer to that of the your body, so the burning sensation during injection is greatly reduced. Even better: since it starts out closer to the bodys natural pH, buffered anesthesia begins to work faster and is more effective!

If youve ever had impressions taken of your teeth, you know it can be unpleasant. No one wants foul-tasting, messy goop filling their mouth. Now, there's a better alternative that eliminates the need for any physical material.

Were thrilled to introduce our iTero Element intrarol scanner. An Omni Dental team member uses the iTeros wand to capture the surfaces of your teeth, taking thousands of pictures per second. The computer system then assembles these photos into a complete 3D image in real time.

Digital impressions are fast, pleasant and clean. On top of that, theyre actually more accurate than traditional physical impressions. That means you get better fitting crowns with fewer remakes, all with increased comfort.

Dr. Justin Hanlon discovered his passion for dentistry thanks to his passion for hockey. During his junior year of high school, when a high stick shattered Dr. Hanlon's two front teeth, his family dentist came to the rescue and repaired the damage. What began as a frightening and painful experience turned into a life-changing one. Dr. Hanlon became fascinated by the power of dentistry and its ability to provide greater levels of confidence and success in peoples lives.

Since then, Dr. Hanlon has committed himself to pursuing, and achieving, excellence in dentistry. He seeks out every opportunity for continuing education, and for new investments in innovative techniques and technologies. He's dedicated to his craft, and he truly believes in its potential to change the lives of his patients just as it changed his.

A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Hanlon graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Squirrel Hill. He went to college at Penn State University, and then pursued his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

After graduating from UPenn, Dr. Hanlon spent several years refining his professional skills as an associate in private practices in the greater Philadelphia region and, most recently, in Pittsburghs North Hills. During this time, he expanded his dental training through extensive continuing education, including earning certifications in implant placement and Invisalign.

Dr. Hanlon is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the International Dental Implant Association, where he received his implant training after dental school.

When Dr. Hanlon isnt improving the smiles of his patients, he likes to swap his scrubs for skis, hiking boots or a yoga mat. And, though Dr. Hanlon decided to hang up his skates for good, he still loves hockey, and enjoys cheering for the Penguins from his house in Squirrel Hill alongside his fiance, Allison and their dog, Jameson.

A lifelong music fan, Dr. Hanlon loves talking to patients about their musical tastes, and enjoys hearing their feedback on all aspects of their experience at Omni Dental, including their recommendations for the offices tailored Pandora station.

I'm a new patient and came to Omni after a bad experience. Dr. Rabinovich is fantastic, as are the hygienists and front desk staff. They have the latest technology; my visits have been smooth and efficient without feeling rushed or forgotten about. They explained everything thoroughly and addressed my concerns. I appreciate the reminders and paperless interfacing. Highly recommend.

My experience at Omni Dental has been outstanding. The staff is beyond kind and very professional. I am very impressed with their use of technology and the knowledge that they share, and the care the Dr takes to explain the procedure. It was very comfortable to work with them on the forms of payment. In addition, they provided options for the more extensive procedures. The fit of the bridge I got was perfect from the start, even the temporary one. Also, the atmosphere is pleasant, very clean, and nice music. I highly recommend Omni Dental.

I'm extremely happy with the care I've been given thus far at Omni Dental. I moved to Pittsburgh not long ago and had really bad experiences with two other dental offices in the area, then the virus lockdowns happened and I foolishly did not get my teeth checked out when I knew I was having some issues. The problem became worse and essentially culminated into a dental emergency with really severe pain. They found me an opening on the same day and Dr. Justin Hanlon clearly explained what was going on and answered all my questions. Long story short I needed a root canal and a tooth extraction (and Ill eventually get a permanent bridge). The procedures went smoothly and were essentially pain free. The doctor and assistant were both very personable and at no time did I feel judged for being an idiot and letting my tooth go bad; a mistake I will not make again. The temporary bridge fits extremely well and there is no pain even after the anesthetic wore off. I also know Dr. Hanlon did a lot of work in one appointment which means a lot to me because the past dental practice I tried would take (and charge for) many xrays and seemed to schedule multiple appointments while never being clear on what they were doing while the bill kept creeping up. At Ommi I feel like I know what is being done and what to expect going forward. The office and bathroom were also very clean and well appointed. For the time being I feel I've found a long term Dentist in the area that is skilled and trustworthy. I'm really appreciative to Dr. Hanlon and the team for all the help they've given me so far. Thank you.

I like the practice! I had trouble as I was popping temporary then permanent crown on a tooth. I saw Dr Hanlon today as my regular dentist was off. He said there really was not enough tooth to hold a crown, especially with my severe grinding. So we began the process for a bridge the same day. Oooooh boy! They're friendly as well as professional.

Very modern approach utilizing new tech. They also have wonderful patient communication skills which made signing paperwork a more comfortable experience for me. Would I recommend choosing Omni Dental Shadyside? Yes, I would.

Love Omni! I am currently a graduate student and I have moved around a few times since college. I haven't always had the best experiences with dental offices, many times feeling like I was being charged but didn't know why or what was happening. The people at Omni however made it a great experience, being friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and really making sure I knew what was going on with my dental hygiene. Plus, they have a dental plan which was helpful for not having dental coverage. 10/10 recommend.

I'm new to Pittsburgh and the process for new patients was seamless. Had a great experience and the appointment was exactly on time! Now it's time to check out some of my hygienist's (Matlyn) restaurant suggestions!

I just moved to the area, and had an excellent experience with Omni Dental for a routine cleaning and exam. The staff were professional and friendly, and the environment was chic and relaxing. I will definitely be back!

It was far easier to get an appointment here than at any of the other highly rated dentists I was looking at in the area. They started off by giving me an appointment a month out (way better than anyone else could offer) then followed up by giving me one of the canceled slots a few days later. I got in just a week-ish after initial scheduling, which was maybe a bit lucky but nevertheless astounding after my dental search started off so poorly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I felt very welcome from the moment I stepped into the door. The hygienist was very patient and careful. He gave me lots of really detailed advice on how to take the absolute best care of my teeth, and the dentist was also quite friendly and took the time to address my concerns about orthodontics. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I look forward to coming back in 6 months.

Dr. Hanlon took care of me today for a root canal and crown and I can't express enough how easy, comfortable and quick he was. Omni provides such a clean and fun space from the front desk to the assistants to the dentists themselves. 10/10 life time patient made.

I would recommend anyone who's looking for detailed and caring dental care to see Dr. Hanlon. He did a tooth filling for me today and it was a pleasant experience. During the process, he would let me know what was his next step and I could raise my hand to take a break if I feel any discomfort. I would also recommend to anyone who's afraid to see dentists.
