Dr. James Bailey is one of the most experienced orthodontists in the U.S. He earned his dental degree from Howard University, where he was honored with the Robert Titchenell Award for qualities exemplifying John F. Kennedy, and the Howard University award for best research. He completed undergraduate study at Lincoln University and San Diego State University, where he earned a degree in math and biology. Dr. Bailey is a member of his local dental society as well as the American Association of Orthodontists and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Alameda County Dental Society.
Dr. Golnaz Kavand obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University with High Honors. Following that, she moved to the Midwest and obtained a Master of Science in Dentistry and a clinical certificate in Orthodontics from Indiana University. During residency, Dr. Kavand studied the impact of palatal expansion on upper airway volume and published the results of her study in the prestigious journal, The Angle Orthodontist. In addition, Dr. Kavand has a Masters in Dental Public Health from The University of Iowa, with a focus on the dental esthetic perception in young adolescents and their parents.
Dr. Kavand has worked in multiple private practices in Ohio and Southern California and is excited to bring her expertise to serve patients in the Bay Area. Dr. Kavand is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of both the American and the California Association of Orthodontists.

I had such a great experience at this office! Everything from the people to the decor was just phenomenal. I have been wanting to get Invisalign for years, and I finally pulled the trigger and made an appointment for an evaluation! Janelle helped me from the very beginning! She was very nice and super sweet, she took my x-rays, explained the process and answered all my questions. Dr. Phan was also great, and explained the different ways where he could make my teeth straighter. I loved that he showed me different examples through before/after pictures as well as actual samples! Everyone was incredibly friendly and nice, and I highly recommend coming to this office for orthodontic w

This is unhappy experience with my son's treatment. They always attack the new patients and let the old patient wait a long time. I will never recommend my friends to there.

I am super satisfied with my new beautiful teeth. The entire staff have been greatly nice and professional. My Orthodontist Dr.Patino has done a great job and was very detail in every process during my treatment when I had braces . Now I smile with no embarrassment....

Olympic Orthodontics are not flexible at all with the appointments , they are very stubborn. There are better orthodontics who are more flexible. Also, i had a bad experience with their finance team, as soon as my insurance changed their attitude changed too, initially they talk very sweet but as soon as we need some flexibility they show their real nature. i personally wouldn't recommend.

My experience with Olympic Orthodontics is amazing. The front desk staff are really nice and the rest of the team as well. I appreciate the coffee and refreshments in the waiting area, and their office is spectacularly clean and well decorated. Their Coach, Dr. Frederick L. Johnston is a true patriot and lives his philosophy of kindness, selflessness, and generosity. I would recommend him and his practice for all your orthodontic care.

I just had to share my experience at Olympic Orthodontics. I had braces as a kid and my teeth shifted as I got older. I was a bit embarrassed going in at 40 something but from the minute I walked in, the front desk put me at ease. The entire staff is so friendly and warm. And the best part is Dr Johnston, he is so sweet, gentle and patient. He looked at my x-rays / teeth and determined that Invisalign would work for me . He explained the entire process and I left there completely amazed at how easy it all was. So different from what I remember as a kid. The best part is that I never have to wait, I'm seen right at my appointment time. I can plan my day accordingly. I wish I would of come in sooner. Highly recommend for anyone at any age. Olympic Orthodontics will make you feel and look your best

As someone who didn't get braces when I was younger, I wasn't sure what to expect when I was referred to Olympic Orthodontics. I can tell you that from the minute I walked in it was such a pleasant experience that I felt I had to share it briefly here. The facility is beautiful and updated. Everything from the ladies up front to the tech's to the doctors, I have never been treated so well by any medical staff. They are always pleasant, courteous, and eager to get me in and out on-time which is very important to me. If your appointment is at 11:30, you will be sitting down by that time. This is not the norm in most medical or dental facilities. If you have ever thought about braces and your time is important to you, I would recommend them. Every business should take a page from their book.

Dr. Johnston is the BEST Orthodontist around!! I used to work in the dental field and so it makes you very picky on who you would see and allow your family to see. He has the most professional, caring and friendliest staff starting with Pat and Maggie who always greet you with a smile! I have been with Dr. J for 20 years. I brought all 4 of my kids to him for their braces and recently I had Invisalign done and so happy with the results. I seek his professional advice on any Dentist me or my family need to see outside of orthodontics. I trust his opinion 100%. His experience, knowledge and cutting edge technology is giving you the best results you could ask for. I highly recommend him.

Everyone at Olympic Orthodontics is amazing. Everyone is kind, helpful, caring, courteous and professional. Dr. Johnston is an outstanding orthodontist who is knowledgeable and very experienced. The staff is very friendly, especially the front desk, who schedule appointments with your schedule as the number one priority. The office is very clean and modern, with some of the prettiest decorations ever! Each holiday/season corresponds with the office. All three of my children were under his treatment and he was so generous and caring during our time there. I used to work in the dental field, and after looking at plenty of other orthodontists, I chose to go here. I highly recommend coming here and having them take care of you.
