Life and Hobbies: I am originally from Aberdeen, moved to Tennessee in high school. I have been back in Washington since 1993. I have no children, but three nieces I adore. I enjoy watching them play sports and grow. I also love dogs and completing projects around the house. In my spare time I also like to travel.
Mission: To bring my knowledge, abilities, and strong desire to provide the best care to our patients. I strive to bring compassion, warmth, and kindness to make every patient as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Mission: To help our dentists in every way possible which will enable our dentists to provide efficient and high-quality care to our patients. One of my favorite things about dentistry is helping our patients.
Education: I graduated from South Puget Sound Community Colleges Dental Assisting program in 2003. I originally started at Dr. Chois office and was a team member from 2005-2012 and then returned in 2019.
Education: While in school I worked for the City of Tumwater as a day camp counselor during the summers. I graduated from Black Hills High School and went on to spend a year and a half at WSU. Upon returning home I started working at Olive Garden as a Host, then became a server, transitioned into a bartender, which ultimately led to becoming a Service Professional. A close family friend took a chance on me, hired me for the front desk position at my current job with Oly Tumwater Dental Care, and I have never looked back.
Life and Hobbies: I keep busy taking care of my personal zoo that includes: 3 cats, 3 rabbits, and more aquariums than Sea World. There is always something to be done, but on top of that I recently started a houseplant hobby. As if there wasnt already enough to do!
Education: I am originally from Southern California where I graduated and earned my Dental Assistant license in 2016. I have been in the dental field for 6 years and absolutely love it! Although I love assisting, I decided to make a change and learn the front desk position in hopes that I would be come a Practice Manager of Operations.
Life and Hobbies: I came to Washington after my husband got stationed at McChord Air Force Base (JBLM). We were super excited because we love being outdoors. In my spare time I like to read crime books, go hiking, fishing, and spending time with my beautiful family. I have a little mini-me named Braelyn Avery as well as a fur baby named Dallas. If you know of cool hikes please let me know so I can add them to my bucket list.
Life and Hobbies: I was raised in Garland, Texas and lived there for 20 years. I love traveling, meeting new people, and having new experiences. In my down time, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, and being near or on the water in any capacity.
Education: I graduated from the South Puget Sound Community College Dental Assisting Program in August of 2021. I have previously worked in other dental offices, where I had the opportunity to grow. I will continue to grow here at Oly-Tumwater Dental Care.

I had a dental emergency and no dentist. Oly Tumwater dental found space for me to be seen quickly, and Dr. Choy, Kelly and the team there took excellent care of my painful tooth. They were so efficient, as well as kind and considerate. Highly recommend them!

I've been a patient of Oly Tumwater Dental Care since 2004 and I can truly say that I have never had anything less than top quality care from them. Whether it's my dentist, Dr. Choi, my regular hygienist, Sue, or any of the office staff, I genuinely feel cared for here. I would recommend Oly Tumwater Dental Care to anyone!

I have been a client of Dr. Choi for several years. The staff have always been so welcoming and caring for my well being. Today Sue did a dental cleaning and as usual it was thorough and great.

Beautiful, pitch perfect voice Kellie did a fantastic job cleaning today! She likes to quietly sing along to the background music which was nice. The exam to me was very thorough and speedy at the same time! Great use of technology without anything that appeared unnecessary. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming and made the new patient checkin process easy without requiring many redundant answers to questions. Looking forward to my next checkup in 6 months!

I woke up with tooth pain. Called them at 8 am and they were able to get me in a couple hours later and get me antibiotics to help with the pain.

Best Dentist I have ever seen!! Doctor Troy and his staff are amazing and I no longer have a fear of needles for numbing also getting great follow up treatments I recommend anyone to use their services

This was my first time at Oly Tumwater Dental Care and I was very happy with my visit. Staff is friendly . My hygienist, Lindsey, was patient and gentle. The dentists are kind. I will return for my dental care.

Excellent service and very easy to get appointments. Dr. Shingu is an excellent Dentist who cares about his patients. I'm glad I found him and rate him a 10/10 for location, service and easy to make follow up appointments.
