Dr. Olson has practiced in the bay area for over 30 years, and he is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and San Mateo County Dental Society (SMCDS). Dr. Olson has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes and seminars, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
A Bay Area native, Dr. Courtin was raised in Foster City and attended San Mateo High School where he was active in the theater program. He received his bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Theater at UCLA. After graduating he returned to the Bay Area and worked in cancer research at UCSF before finding his calling in dentistry. He attended University of the Pacific dental school where he is now a member of the faculty as a pre-clinical instructor.
In his spare time, Dr. Courtin enjoys singing, snowboarding, and scubadiving. His wife, Ashley, shares his passion for dentistry. She works as a dental hygienist in San Francisco. They first met while attending Bowditch Middle School in Foster City. They have a daughter who they hope will go into dentistry one day too!
During dental school Dr. Courtin led mission trips to Jamaica. There his team provided much needed dental care to rural areas with no access to dentists. He is very passionate about giving back both locally and abroad. He has volunteered for many community events, including CDA Cares. Every year he and his wife travel to Mexico with Flying Doctors of Mercy to provide dental aid to those in need.
Jennifer has many years of administrative experience with a primary focus in insurance and billing. She is also a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Sue graduated from the Bryman College Dental Assisting program. She has many years of experience in dental billing and insurance processing. She enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with her children.
Karina is a graduate of Bryman College for Dental Assisting and a member of the ADAA. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, including taking walks and going to the park. She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and has gone on two mission trips with Dr. Olson to Mexico in 2003 and Africa in 2006.
Lori has a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University and a Biology degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and University of Santa Clara. She enjoys genealogy, reading and church activities. Lori and her husband have two children, Nathan and Rebecca. Lori is a CPR instructor with the San Mateo Dental Society. She has worked for Dr. Olson since 1982 and has also joined Dr. Olson on mission trips to Mexico, New Guinea and Malawi.
Susan has a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from UCSF and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC Davis. She married to her high school sweetheart and they have three beautiful children together. She enjoys watching movies with her family and building Legos with her youngest son. Her favorite pass time at the moment is getting lots of sleep!
Mina graduated with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from West Coast University in Anaheim. Her favorite part about being a hygienist is seeing her patients smile after they get their cleanings. In her free time she loves to travel and catch up on her favorite shows!

We found Olson Dental 35 years ago, and now fly back to the Bay Area for dental care that is state-of-the-art technology and highest skill, plus thorough and gentle preventative cleaning. Simply the best we have found worldwide.

We absolutely love Olson Dental! Doctor Olson and Doctor Courtin are wonderful, kind and have a vast knowledge of dentistry and orthodontics. The hygienists are all very good, knowledgeable, and gentle yet effective. My whole family are patients and my kids actually look forward to going to the dentist! I've been going to Dr. Olson and associates for about 18 years now. They are unfailingly kind and gentle... so much so that the dentist phobias I've carried from childhood have faded due to over a decade of positive experiences. The education provided by their hygienists is first rate, as well. My mouth is in better shape now than it was 20 years ago. . . And i no longer fear going to the dentist... A testament to excellent dental care, indeed. I highly recommend Dr. Olson and company.

So happy I found Olson Dental! Dr. Courtin and the whole team have been fantastic! I had a bad experience at the previous dental office I was at and when I came to Olson Dental and explained how anxious I was to be back at the dentist I felt very listened to. Everyone has been super great at communication and being extra gentle and patient. I also love all the reminders I get from the reception as I have a busy life and often forget about appointments.

Lori is the best at cleaning my teeth. I visit three times a year, so I pay for one visit. That's how much I like her. She is friendly and considerate and has great recommendations. Dr. Olson is always understanding and has taken great care of my teeth.
