Many members of our staff have been on the team for at least the past 10 years. During that time, they have had a chance to become very familiar with our patients. Since you will see the same people every time you come in, our team will remember you from visit to visit. They are all very friendly people and will work to make sure you can find almost everything you need at our dental office.
Dr. Hudson has been serving the Pinehurst and Taylortown area since 1985, and in that time, he has literally helped generations of local families smile. He loves that hes gotten to see many of his patients grow up and form long-lasting and trusting relationships with them. Chances are, you already know someone who has visited and likes Dr. Hudson! But, before you meet him yourself, you can learn a little more about him below.
For Dr. Hudson, the decision to become a dentist was an easy one. First of all, he always liked working with his hands, plus he enjoyed interacting with people one-on-one. On top of this, he was drawn to medicine from an early age (his mother was a nurse). He says he knew he wanted to be a dentist by the time he was in high school, and today, he couldnt be happier with the path he has taken!
After graduating from Xavier University, Dr. Hudson earned his dental degree from the Louisville School of Dental Medicine. Over the years, he has studied a vast array of topics and procedures in order to better himself and stay on top of the everchanging world of dentistry, taking classes at prestigious institutions such as the Dawson Academy, Las Vegas Institute, and SPEAR Education. To date, he has completed continuing education focused on endodontics (root canals), dental implants, crowns/bridges, periodontal therapy, TMJ therapy, laser therapy, and orthodontics (he is Invisalign and ClearCorrect certified).
Most of Dr. Hudsons time away from the dental office is dedicated to his family, which consists of his wife (who helped him start our dental office) as well as their son and daughter. He is a big tennis and basketball fan and has coached youth sports in the past. At home, youll often find him fixing things, whether this involves doing woodwork, tidying up concrete/plaster, repairing watches, and more.
Linda has worked at Olmsted Village Dental Care for over 30 years, so when it comes to keeping us organized, shes an expert! Nothing makes her happier than interacting with our patients and helping them understand their dental needs. Over the course of her career, she has completed several continuing education classes, so she can easily answer any of your questions.
Linda has been married for 35 years and has two adult children , one grandchild and two dogs. On the weekends, youll usually find her going to craft shows or spending time with her family on the lake or at the beach. She is also musically inclined and plays the piano and clarinet!
Katie will be the friendly voice you hear on the phone and one of the first smiling faces you see when you step into our dental office. She joined our team in 2021 and has 10 years of dental experience overall. Meeting new patients and catching up with returning ones is her favorite part of her job, and she looks forward to getting to know you and your loved ones as well!
Jennifer has been with our dental office for 15 of her 20-year dental career. For her, its extremely rewarding getting to know and educating our patients on the importance of oral healthseeing the positive changes this can create really makes her day! She initially planned to go to college for art, but ultimately ended up taking dental assisting classes and graduating from hygiene school because she always loved visiting the dentist.
Outside of work, Jennifer likes to go hiking, travel, exercise, and seek out the best bagel wherever she is (she worked in a bagel store throughout middle and high school). She has one son who is currently serving in the army, and he and his wife are expecting a child very soon!
Diane loves that her job gives her the chance to educate our patients and help them improve their oral and overall health by practicing great at-home care. She is originally from Rockingham, attended Coastal Carolina Community College, and is OSHA and CPR/first aid certified.
Diane is married with two grown children, three stepchildren, two dogs, and even a grand-dog! She likes to go cruising, hang out on the beach, and ride jet skis in her free time. Every October, she organizes a fall festival that draws about 20,000 visitors!
Jennifer says that the best thing about her job is that she gets to work with each patient one-on-one, which enables her to personalize their care to a very high degree. She has been with us for seven years and has 11 years of dental experience in total. A graduate of Sandhills Dental Career Center, she has completed advanced training for dental emergency care, infection control, and coronal polishing.
Jennifers daughter keeps her on the go thanks to school, sports, and social events. She and her husband strongly support their daughter's hobbies and interests, which is why they have previously coached both her soccer and volleyball teams. These days, Jennifers favorite hobby is attending workouts at Hotworx with Jennifer the hygienist in Southern Pines.
Sydney joined our dental office in 2021, and she brings 8 years of dental experience to our team. For her, the job is ultimately about boosting a patients confidence by helping improve their smile. She completed her dental training at Sandhills Dental Career Center.
Originally from Laurinburg, Sydney has a young son, and they love to go fishing and ride four-wheelers together. She also has a vivacious German Shepherd/Husky mix named Murphy who is very vocal. On the weekends, she loves spending time on the lake with friends and family or on the field playing softball.

I was in Pinehurst for a family medical emergency when my healing cap on an implant came off. Dr Hudson and his team (front office, dental assistant and just everyone) we very nice, professional and helpful. From finding a time on the schedule and calling my dental team in MD to discuss my situation to ensuring that was I comfortable before, during and after the procedure, this team provided me excellent service. This was my first visit to this particular dental provider. I cannot say enough good things about the overall quality of services they provided me. The front office staff was very cordial, and the entire waiting area was inviting. Jennifer, my dental hygienist, was stellar. She was knowledgeable, full of personality and very patient with me for the entirety of the cleaning process. Finally, Dr. Hudson, being the experienced dental professional that he is, came in, did his follow up very seamlessly, and moved on to other matters. He was pleasant, professional and accommodating during the entirety of our interactions. His no nonsense approach to dealing with specific dental matters is valued by this senior citizen who prefers to get in and out of dental offices as quickly as possible. This was a very positive experience and I look forward to a continuation of this relationship.

Having spent a good portion of my life at the dentist, I can most definitely say that Dr. Hudson and staff are the most professional group I have encountered. They make sure that I am comfortable and explain all procedures.There is nothing to be anxious about.

Jennifer and Dr Hudson were great today! The procedure that was being done was long and complicated. They were always aware of my reactions to what was going on and asked if I needed breaks or if I needed additional sedation. I have been a patient for 18 years and it is the care I receive that keeps me coming back. Kudos to Dr Hudson, Jennifer, Linda and the rest of his staff!

I have been going to Dr. Hudson for more than 20 years. On one visit I had more cavities than usual. He questioned what I was doing different.( I was using sugar free lemon cough drops. ) He cared enough to research the ingredients and printed it for me. He also has great gift when it comes to fixing your teeth. In my younger days my my two front were just a tad longer,.(when I needed crowns he adjusted for that and now I have my smile back.)

I have always dreaded going to the dentist, but I can honestly say that my visits to Olmsted Village Dental were the best visits to a dentist I have ever had.. They make you feel special and comfortable. After my last visit I was expecting to have pain but was pleasantly surprised when I did not have any pain. The dentist and hygienist are top notch and the ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Hudson and all his staff.
