Dental implants are small titanium posts that replace the roots of missing teeth (View Example). They are inserted into your jawbone during a minor surgical procedure that takes place in the dental office. After the implant has been placed in your jawbone, a completely lifelike porcelain tooth crown is attached. In some cases, the implant needs to fuse with the bone for several months before it is permanently crowned; in other cases, you can have new (but temporary) teeth the same day your implants are placed.
You can replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or all your teeth with implants (View Examples). You don't even need one implant for every missing tooth. As few as two Implants can support a removable lower denture, while as few as four implants can provide a full, permanent set of top or bottom teeth.
Most people find dental implant surgery very easy to tolerate. Any post-operative discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen or OTC pain-relievers. Ice can also be helpful.
At the outset, implants are more expensive than other tooth-replacement methods such as dentures or bridgework. But they also last many years longer and in fact should never need replacement. So they offer the best, most cost-effective option when viewed as a long-term investment in your health, comfort and well-being.
They require exactly the same care as natural teeth: daily brushing and flossing, along with regular dental checkups and professional cleanings. Although implant teeth will never decay, the gum tissues around them can become inflamed or infected in the absence of good oral hygiene. Properly cared-for dental implants should last a lifetime.
Strictly speaking, implants can't be rejected because they contain no living cells or genetically coded material. The titanium of which they are made is completely biocompatible, and allergies are extremely rare. But an implant can fail to integrate with the jawbone if an infection develops in the absence of good oral hygiene, or if it is subjected to biting forces too soon. However, this is rare; implants regularly achieve success rates in excess of 95%.
A graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. She published an article, The Future of Orthodontic Diagnostic Records in Seminars in Orthodontics, and she received a scholarship from OKU National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Sarah has completed over 400 hours of continuing education with a dedicated focus on orthodontics. She is certified in clinical orthodontics and a Preferred Provider with Invisalign. Dr. Sarah provides cosmetic restorative, implants and orthodontics. She is a member of the ADA, GHDS, TDA, AGD and is working towards becoming a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Friendly and professional service, I have been going there since 1995 and although they are not part of my insurance network I still prefer and pay some of the bill on my own. Lisa is great!

The front office is very considerate and lenient when it comes to scheduling. Also, Jane is very gentle and reassuring when it comes to my twice a year dental cleaning. I can't ask for more.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Olim and the entire staff. I have been to 2 dentists in the past year with an aching tooth (Dr. Olim was the 3rd). I was almost convinced I was crazy because 2 dentists told me nothing was wrong with my tooth. Dr. Olim did not accept this and wasn't willing to just write me off even though it wasn't an obvious issue. He took the time to try different things and I left there feeling relief that I haven't felt in over a year. The staff at the front was so friendly and the energy was just so positive. I'm so happy to have found my new dentist!

Perfect Dental Experience ! I am excited to have a dentist for the whole family close to home, where you are not just a number. Everyone is friendly and takes time to explain every step along the way. They make you feel welcome, comfortable and not rushed. Anthony is sweet and prepare you for your procedure. Lisa, the dental Hygienist is dynamic, knowledgeable and provide farrow cleaning ... like I never had in years. I felt like coming out of a spa! I just had my first visit yesterday. Very positive. I liked Dr. Olim and his assistant. Dr. Spent quality one time to check all my teeth and evaluated very carefully and addressed and explained my issues . I have decided to go back and get my dental work done by him. So fare I had a good experience.

The large office lady with long hair charged me for the full amount for the visit when I had already given my discount information to a young office lady. I pointed this out twice but the young lady, who had her back to me, wouldn't turn around. The large lady finally gave me my discount. They have too much time on their hands if giving an old lady a hard time is amusing to them. I like Lisa and Sarah and that is why I'm going back.

Dr Sarah Olim is great. She is enthusiastic, honest, energetic. Staff is also great, they are very helpful in reminders and coordinating visits and billing. Our family have been going to their practice for past 10 years.

Dental Hygienist Lisa is always extremely professional and lately very aware of Covid threat in all aspects of her care. She is very friendly and has a very pleasing and calming personality. I also have a high degree of faith in Dr Olim. He has been my dentist for 20 years and is very knowledgeable and stays current in his practice with the latest equipment. The front desk staff is friendly and very efficient.
