Dr. Joey Sessums comes to Brookhaven after an 11 year hiatus. She received her BA degree from the University of Mississippi in 2006 and her DMD degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2010.
Dr. Joey worked as a general dentist with emphasis on children's dental care for a year before returning to Batson Children's Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center to complete a 2 year fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Joey is no stranger to Southwest Mississippi and she knows its people and its culture.
Her father is a local OB-GYN physician and her maternal grandfather was a dentist in rural Mississippi for 3 decades. She returns to her hometown with a passion and energy to provide specialized dental care in a unique environment for Brookhaven and its surrounding counties. And by the way, spread the word. KIDS ONLY.

Terrible service and the absolute worst dentist I've ever been to. What kind of place hurts an innocent child? My daughter was scheduled to have a tooth fixed and well the dentist comes in with an attitude. Tells me how it's going to be and what she's going to do to my child's mouth continues to give my child gas and a shot to numb her and then walks away and does nothing. My daughter was sedated her gums were bleeding from them picking around in her mouth and her tooth did not get fixed. Very very disappointed in they're unprofessionalism and malpractice. I would highly encourage anyone to find a dentist elsewhere for the safety and well-being of your child.

Dr. Joey and staff are amazing!! We are currently in Meadville displaced by Hurricane Ida. My 7 year old woke up with a toothache so I googled pediatric dentistry and went off of reviews. They took us in same day and were very sweet and caring. My son had a cavity in which the tooth needed extracting. He was a little nervous but they made sure he was very comfortable and they kept him calm. I live about 3 hours away where our home was damaged by IDA. I would be lying if I didn't already think about making the 3 hour drive for my kids to continue care here. They are that amazing

When there secretary called to make an appointment for my child to get her teeth cleaned she was very rude. I expressed the date she offered was no good to me due to work, and she ignored me like that was the only date she was offering. I am a strong believer in IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB GET A NEW ONE !!

We have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Sessums and Ole Brook Pediatric Dentistry. They have an inviting atmosphere for kids, and are great at working with kids from basic cleanings to more involved procedures.

She is amazing at what she does! My kids have been going to her for about a year and a half and absolutely love going to the dentist now. Before going to her my kids went to two others here in town and it was horrible. They were scared and I didn't like how they were treated. So I would highly recommend her to any parent!

I have been very pleased with dr Joey Sessums. She does a great job with my three children. I will highly recommend her to anyone with children of all ages... My children love going there which is totally different then where we went before, they hated going there!!! We had a lot of trouble with the other office we went to before, but as soon as we started going here, she fixed all the problems. Thank you dr Sessum for all that you have done for my children they love you!!!
