My husband and I love Dr. Kasper and her practice. She is extremely attentive, caring, gentle and makes sure that all of her hygienists are the same way. I really appreciate how she is conservative and cognizant of insurance as well - recently I held off getting a crown to see if a more minor adjustment would work so she did not charge me for the minor work (otherwise insurance would not pay for the crown in the same spot if I ended up needing it). The new office (124 S. West St.) is larger and very modern and I found the street parking is even easier. I have recommended Dr. Kasper and her office to numerous friends and neighbors and will continue to do so!

I found this practice unprofessional and uncommunicative. They issued me an estimate that would put my out-of-pocket payment significantly higher than it should be with my dental insurance (I confirmed this with my insurance company, who claimed never to have received any correspondence from Dr. Kasper). After sorting out this issue, I made an appointment for the work to be done. However, the office canceled my appointment the day before it was scheduled. I was not notified of this cancelation; instead, I received an email telling me that my appointment time had changed. I had to call the office to confirm the abrupt cancelation. UPDATE: To clarify: the text message sent by the office said nothing of a 48-hour time limit, nor did it warn that failure to confirm would result in a cancelation of the appointment. If it had, the problems outlined above would not have happened. For this reason I found the office's communication lacking. As for the office's professionalism, I believe the response below speaks for itself.

Just disappointed with the way I was treated by receptionist when I was out of the country and did not receive the confirmation text of my appointment early enough and when I called to reschedule it I was met with a rude no exceptions tone of needing to pay a cancellation fee even though I've been going there for three years. I love Dr Kasper and have always been going out of the way to see her but the new front office experience is too hard to stomach for me to come back.

Dr. Kasper has gained a new patient for life. I have never met a provider as thorough or concerned as she. No pain, just results and a plan. I thank God for her.

Dr. Kasper is by far the best dentist I've ever been to. She's extremely patient and kind. She took her time explaining everything to me and answered my many questions. I live about an hour away but it is definitely worth the trip! She is very gentle and careful with everything she does. I highly recommend!!

I just finished my Invisalign journey with Dr. Kasper, and I had a great experience getting that done through the office. She worked with me to make sure I was happy with the end result, and I really appreciate the time she spent with me over the months at our check ins.

Dr. Kasper is awesome. Woke up with a bad toothache. New to town. Neighbor recommended. Called and she got me in right away. Diagnosed needing to see an endodontist, got me an appointment right away. Had my emergency taken care of by 5 pm! OTD is now our dentistry practice for life.

Kaspers' ok. The business falls apart at the desk. It's plain ridiculous. Won't call back. Terrible attitudes. Prices are too hi. Sad a professional is ruined by her help. They've lost 5 of us. Since won't send my records to my new dentist! Since I've been to two dentists. According to them I have one cavity. Jasper said I had two. If anyone feels like we do let's do something about it. This is just sick

I started going to Dr. Kasper 2 years ago when my insurance changed and I couldn't keep going to my other preferred dentist. They are nice and friendly and the place is clean and professional. My issue was with the first bigger dental work I had to have done 4 days ago with two fillings that I was skeptical about needing in the first place. They do do a nice job of showing and explaining everything but the procedure of getting the two fillings done was the worst dentist experience I've had. It was extremely painful and after she completed the first, I about stopped her and wanted to walk out before getting the second done. I have a high pain tolerance and this was almost too much for me. Now I have a swollen face and "chipmunk" cheeks as a result and it's only getting worse 4 days later. There's a cut/sore on the inside of my mouth where she did one of the fillings that I believe is causing the swelling. It was very hard to eat and painful to open my mouth the next few days after and I've been taking ibuprofen everyday to help the pain. I called to ask about the swelling and pain and have yet to receive a call back. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning and paying out of pocket to return to my old dentist who I adore and trust. Although they are nice there, it's not worth the pain and what I went through to return.

I am sorry to report this as I have been a patient of OTD for many years. On Monday I had an appointment for a cleaning. While there I reported a chip in my front tooth. My doctor inspected it and suggested a fix for it as well as a fix for the upper part of the same tooth because it left a gap between it and the next tooth. On the way out I was presented with the cost estimate of that fix. I gasped but signed it. I also made an appointment for the next day to have the tooth repaired. I showed up for my 9am appointment and was finally seen at 9:25. The doctor discussed the process and the assistant prepared me for the procedure. While being numbed a woman appeared with an estimate for me to sign that was 3 times greater than what I had agreed to the day before. The presenter of this agreement cited the "additional procedure" was new and not covered by the in house insurance I had paid for. I was taken aback by this sudden appearance and the request that I sign this agreement immediately . I was numbed and ready for the procedure to begin. What was I to do? I signed it. The procedure took place and the whole tooth was repaired in the very same way, not as a separate procedure. So, I paid for the first estimate and the second estimate when only one procedure took place. When I left the office I told the woman at the check out desk how upset I was about the way this was handled. I will think twice about returning to this practice and expect to hear from a representative of OTD regarding this issue.

Dr. Kasper's warmth, reassurance and organizational skills are outmatched only by her professional skills which, in one case, stretched over a marathon session. She is truly dedicated and highly skilled as are the other staff in the practice. As a patient, former health policy adviser, hospital administrator and big fan of really nice people, I give Dr. Kasper and practice the highest marks. In addition I experienced the shortest ever wait times and frank communication on oral health status and pricing. 5+ Stars Paul D. Jackson Alexandria, VA
