Bio : Dr. Aurbach was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his undergraduate education at Mercy College in Westchester, New York, before receiving his D.M.D. degree through Nova Southeastern University in sunny south Florida. Following graduation, he returned to his home state and completed a General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Aurbach has worked in many styles of dental offices, from hospital based services to dental clinics that see underserved populations to high end cosmetics offices; gaining a different experience at every one.His goalis to provide a broad spectrum of high quality dental care and get to know his patients in a friendly, comfortable and family oriented atmosphere. Following his work in these other offices as an associate and having gained the necessary experience, he opened Old Hook Dental to accomplish that goal. As 'Mom and Pop' stylebusinesses are in a steady decline due to giant corporations (even in dentistry) the fact that our patients still prefer to know and be known by their doctor over being just another number serves as his proof that the American dream is still alive and well.
In his free time, Dr. Aurbach enjoys most of all - being a Dad to his Twins, in addition to traveling, snorkeling and marine life, aerial drone photography and anything with wheels and a motor. Some of his other interests include American muscle cars, Jeeps, motorcycles, model ship building, carpentry, music and movies.
At Old Hook Dental we want to be an example of what is possible in dentistry, not just another office. Listing our high standards, ethics and technology we use as part of our mission to us seems redundant - those should be givens. Just as our office and business is different, so will our mission be. If every office lists the same qualities over and over they tend to lose their meaning. Simply put - We want the bar to be a little higher, to provide excellent instead of acceptable, maintain the traditional dentist-patient relationship now being overthrownby corporatedental care facilities and lastly, for our patients to leave with more than they expected walking in.

I mentioned to Dr. A about his inheriting us from Dr. Trevisan and he was happy that I put trust in him to do a cleaning for me. He was kind and we got along just fine.....I did email him to say I thought w'd have a future together! Everything was great!

Dr Aurbach and his team are amazing. He saved my tooth and was able to give me a filling otherwise I would have to go get a root canal. This saves me a lot of pain and money. Thank you doc!

Totally recommend! I have been wanting a tooth gem for a while and I stumbled upon this place! Everyone in the office is so kind and walked us through the entire process and made us feel completely comfortable! I love my gem and will definitely be going back for more!!
