An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Dr. Rawalt is awesome. I broke my tooth and she worked me in the next day. The entire office made me feel welcome and took great care of me. I would recommend Olathe South Dentistry.

This place should be shut down. They tried scamming me out of almost a grand telling me I needed a deep clean and I had been negligent to my teeth. I got a second opinion and they told me I didn't need a deep clean and had been taking care of my teeth. Stay away from this trash.

I have been going to this place for over a year now. The first time I went there Dr. Jackson did a good job. They only have one dental hygienist so the dentist tend to do the cleaning so sometimes the wait is long. The reason I am giving them a 2 stars is due to the lack of organization. I was scheduled for an Invisalign consult and when I showed up they told me my appointment most had been lost. I let that go since that happens but now I am battling them to get a claim pay. They said if my insurance does not pay them it will be my responsibility. Clearly I have the benefit and they have bill before for the same service. I was told by the manager that billing is a courtesy they do for the customers and as far as I was aware that was the billing department responsibility. It is really frustrating having to call my insurance and then calling them and waiting a month to hear back to tell me again to call them again when they can call it themselves. Now I have less then one month to get that figure out when my service was performed in December. I called my provider and they call them to solve the problem and I learned they have not updated the address they were sending the claims. If you have time to deal with them and insurance this is your place.

I've spent years trying to get my teeth deep cleaned but was always quoted a price beyond my means. Even with insurance footing the bill for most of it they all wanted several hundreds of dollars. Needless to say I was skeptical when I walked in. I expected to be told the same thing as other places. I was shocked when they told me my copay. I nearly cried because I can actually afford to get it done. Everyone in that office was exceptionally helpful and caring. I walked out very happy.

Alayna, the hygienist, provided the deep cleaning of my teeth including the Laser Treatment. She patiently answered all my concerns professionally, and cleaned my teeth with very gentle touches.

I had a lot of anxiety going to go in to get a root canal and a crown on a molar and honestly after the whole experience was over I would say the pain was only 2/10 The shots to get you numb was the worst part and honestly that was a piece of cake in hindsight. My dentist was completely amazing and made me feel at ease from the time I came into the time I left. I won't be so anxious next time I need dental work because of the way I was treated here. I am former patient of this dentistry. Bad experience. They placed ugly crown on a tooth that required some treatment (root canal + cavity) which resulted in a huge pain and infection. Another endodontist and dentistry took care of my tooth and crown.

I really appreciated the staff here. I called yesterday to make an appointment. I broke a tooth and could tell there was an infection as my face began to swell and was warm. They got me in today at 10:30am By 12:30pm I was in my car, tooth pulled, visit done and my antibiotic was sent to the pharmacy to pick up. I will definitely be back in the future.

I have been a patient here for a while. I had my first experience with Alayna today and it was amazing. I have never left a dentist visit feeling better. Normally I'm stressed out as I dread going. My wife and I have had a total of 5 visits to Olathe South Dentistry ranging from typical cleanings to the removal of wisdom teeth. The consistency in care from the ladies at the front desk to the dentists to the oral surgeon is incredible. This is a team that works very well together and truly appears to love what they do.
