As soon as you enter our warm, welcoming practice, youll be greeted with a smile from Kelly at our front desk. We dont believe in wait times but if you get here early, you can relax and unwind in our comfortable reception area, watch a movie or let the kids read a book. When its time to get started, Terry, our Treatment Coordinator, will greet you and take you back.
Well kick things off with a 3D scan using our i-CAT Imaging System, which gives us a three-dimensional view of your teeth and skull, unlike the 2D views most practices rely on. Terry will also snap some photos of your face, teeth and smile. When thats complete, youll head back out to the reception area for a few minutes.
Once all of your images are uploaded to the computer in our exam room, youll be brought back to meet with Dr. Okuda or Dr. Noorda. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their kids in the exam room. The doctor will do a full examination and based on the exam and your diagnostic records, theyll develop an accurate diagnosis.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Brady C. Okuda began his dental training while serving in the United States Air Force. He practiced general dentistry while stationed with his family at the Yokota Air Base in Japan. Upon completing his military service, he went on to become a certified specialist in orthodontics and receive his masters degree in clinical orthodontics.
Dr. Carey B. Noorda is a native of Las Vegas and pleased to call Nevada home. He attended the University of the Pacic (UOP) School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he also completed his postdoctoral training in orthodontics and received a masters degree in dentistry. Hes been practicing orthodontics in the Las Vegas area for more than 30 years!
Dr. Brady C. Okuda was born and raised in Las Vegas. He graduated from Chaparral High School and then received a bachelors degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Between his college years, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Japan Sapporo Mission. In 2009, he began his dental training at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, receiving a Military Healthcare Professional Scholarship, and graduating in 2013.
After dental school, Dr. Okuda served as a dentist with the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. He spent his first year in the military completing an advanced general dentistry residency at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. He and his family then went on an overseas tour stationed at Yokota Air Base in Japan where he practiced general dentistry from 2014 to 2017.
Upon the completion of his military service, Dr. Okuda decided to pursue his true passion for orthodontics at Jacksonville University in Florida. There, he did his orthodontic residency to become a certified specialist in orthodontics and received a Master of Science in Clinical Orthodontics. Dr. Okudas masters thesis, Direct to consumer orthodontics: Exploring patient demographic trends and preferences, was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Okuda also took the extra, voluntary step of becoming a board-certified orthodontist, the highest certification in the field. The board-certification process involved hundreds of hours of preparation, as well as passing peer-developed written and clinical examinations to demonstrate a commitment to providing lifelong, exceptional patient care.
Being a true overachiever, Dr. Okuda actually completed all of his requirements for his orthodontic graduation at Jacksonville three months early. He decided to return to Nevada where he became partners with Dr. Noorda, his former orthodontist, to form Okuda & Noorda Orthodontics. Now, at our practice, he loves interacting with patients and providing them with a smile they can be proud of. He combines his years of training with the latest proven technology to help patients get results more comfortably and quickly.
Dr. Okuda and his wife, Melissa, have three beautiful children. When hes not treating patients, he enjoys being active and participating in activities, such as surfing, snowboarding and soccer. He spends most of his free time being a father to his wonderful kids and supporting them in their various extracurricular activities.
A native of Las Vegas, Dr. Carey B. Noorda is pleased to call Nevada home. After graduating from Valley High School, he earned a bachelors degree from Brigham Young University. He then attended the University of the Pacific (UOP) School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with highest honors as the Valedictorian of his dental class. Dr. Noorda also completed his postdoctoral training in orthodontics at UOP, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry, graduating again with highest honors.
Dr. Noorda returned to Nevada after his training and has practiced orthodontics in the Las Vegas area for more than 30 years. In that time, he has provided orthodontic care for over 15,000 patients! He is a recognized leader in the early treatment of bite disorders in children. He has lectured extensively, mentoring other orthodontists in the areas of early orthodontic intervention and childhood orthopedic facial correction.
Dr. Noorda is a board-certified orthodontist and is an active Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has served as the President of the Nevada State Society of Orthodontists and most recently as a Director representing Nevada on the Board of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Noorda is a member of many other professional organizations, including the Nevada Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He was a founding member of the Southern Nevada Orthodontic Research Society.
Recognized not only locally as a preferred orthodontist in the cities of Henderson and Las Vegas, and also in the state of Nevada Dr. Noorda has even been ranked nationally as a premier doctor by Top Dentists in the Nation. Since 2007, when this ranking system was first developed, Dr. Noorda has been chosen every year for the past twelve years in a row!
As much as Dr. Noorda has excelled in orthodontics, he feels that his greatest achievements have occurred at home. He and his college sweetheart, Cindy, are the proud parents of four children, but the real joy in their lives now comes from each of their new grandchildren.
