About Okmulgee Family Dentist Welcome to Family Dental Care, where this office has been serving Okmulgee and the surrounding area for over 25 years. Family dental care was established in 1987 by Dr. Randy Hess and Dr. Jerry Thorman, both of which have now retired. The office is now owned by Dr. Miranda Ruleford and she is committed to providing the same great quality dentistry that will help you to maintain a healthy and beautiful smile. The same warm and friendly staff is still here to assist in continuing the comfortable experience people have come to expect from Family Dental Care. Our goal is to inform patients of their dental needs and help to educate them on how best to achieve optimal health, function, and beauty of their mouths and smiles.
She now lives in the Jenks/Glenpool area with her husband Bud and young daughter Eva. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves to do anything outdoors. She grew up riding horses and her love for horses has never faded, even though there seems to be less time to enjoy them these days. She and her husband have a small cattle operation east of Okmulgee, where they spend most weekends
Dental Assistant I was born in Louisiana, but have been in the area since third grade. My husband and I have lived here for 27 years, which is how long I have been in the dental field. We have two wonderful daughters and one son. We enjoy spending time with them and our grandchildren. You can also find us in the woods during hunting season.
Dental Hygienist I was born and raised in Okmulgee. I have been working for Dr. Ruleford since she started practicing here. I am so happy to be serving my home town community and doing something that I love and feel so passionately about. I love helping our patients improve their oral health and enjoy making a personal connection. I was a dental assistant prior to attending dental hygiene school. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2008. I have a strong Christian faith. I am a proud member of the US Army Reserves for 15 years now. I am married to my best friend and we have two amazing daughters. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, cooking and baking, volunteering, learning to quilt, and teaching a fitness class at our local YMCA.
Dental Hygienist I am a 2011 graduate from TCC with a degree in dental hygiene. I also have an Associate Degree in Accounting. I am married with six children. My family and I are active members of our community and church.
Hygiene Coordinator I currently live in Checotah with my husband Jimmy and two children. I have been in the dental field for 11 years as an assistant. I am a Sunday school teacher and a part of the Leadership team at New Life church in Checotah where I attend. I am passionate about my job and about children's ministry.
In 2014 is when my love for dental started. I have worked front office most of that time but have also assisted. Im my passion is being able to help people with whatever their needs are. I have 2 onry boy and a bonus mom to two beautiful girls. We love spending our free time fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
I was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I moved to Okmulgee when I was 20 years old. I have been in Dentistry for 25 years. I have been married to my best friend for 18 years and we both work in the dental field. We have two beautiful daughters and two beautiful grandchildren. Also, we are members of the Refuge Church.
Dental Assistant I graduated from Green Country Technology Center in August of 2020: I studied dental assisting. Shortly after doing my clinicals at Dr. Ruleford's office, I was hired full time. I have absolutely loved every minute of the dental field.
Dental Assistant I was born in Okmulgee and raised in Henryetta. I graduated from Dewar Public School on to where I attended and I graduated from Oklahoma State University with my Associate 's degree in Applied Science. Still Striving to further my education in plans to reach my ultimate goal. I have been a Dental Assistant for 22 years. I am instructor at Green Country Technology Center for the Dental Assisting Program. I have two daughters that are my best friends and that I enjoy spending time with. As a travel nurse, it's really difficult for me to get primary care since I move around so frequently. Dr. Ruleford went above and beyond to help get multiple appointments scheduled to meet my dental needs (it had been 3 years since my last dental visit) in a short period of time. Most places and doctors would have turned me away or offered only the bare minimum because of my time constraints and temporary patient status. The staff were wonderful and the care was exceptional! Highly recommend!

I always have a good experience with this clinic. They are very professional with their work but friendly and personal at the same time. This is the 1st dental clinic that I've felt completely comfortable with and I'm happy that I've found them.

Was kinda rude said my 4 year old wasnt big help sitting in the dental chair so made him lay in my lap he is 4! And only been to the dentist twice and was nervous to even go. Im an adult and i can hardly sit still myself to get my teeth cleaned i don't know how they expect a 4 year old to sit still while tools are in his mouth scraping his teeth

I have tried the other dental places in town and by far this is the best experience I have had at any dental place ever. The staff was super nice and friendly and they knew what they were doing. They talk to you like a person and not a patient so I was comfortable the whole time. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to come here.

I've been a patient at Family Dental and Dr Miranda Ruleford since she began her practice. She and the entire staff are such friendly, caring and very qualified people. She has all the state of the art equipment to take care of any dental needs. She also works with very good orthodontists if that is necessary. She crowned all my teeth almost 6 years ago. I've been very happy with all her work. Highly recommend her and her entire staff. Great group. And the office girls are top notch as well!

They are definitely NOT a family dentist. Any family dentist would know how to deal with children and this dentist definitely does not. All of the dental assistants were great and very good with my children but the dentist herself has NO patience and it in the wrong line of work. Would not recommend this office to anyone.

More problems than necessary. Dentist told me I needed two crowns. They put temporary crowns on. They both fell off within 48 hours. I returned to have them put back on. They fell off again before the permanent crowns were received at their office. Billing was a nightmare. I was told that the both crowns would be totally covered. After the work was done I was told that I owed several hundred dollars. I made payment installments and the amount owed increased TWICE. I finally paid more than $500 to be rid of them forever. Don't ever go here.
