Had to have an emergency removal of my wisdom tooth, and they got me right in. I called at 8 and they had an appointment available at 9. The dentist and assistant were both very kind and gentle and spent well over an hour getting my stubborn tooth out. I do t have insurance and I still got out for under $400. Overall a fantastic experience.

This place was very very professional , generous and sympathetic ,explained my XRays to me and showed me what was happening in a way I could understand.Took very good care of me . And they all had very good sense of humor. Best dentist visit I've had .

Was seen for the first time today, the staff was fantastic, the dental assistant,( I believe that's the right title) was great, she was having some problems taking my x-rays, but we managed to just laugh and joke about it, dentist was fantastic, he went over everything that he had planned for my care plan. Even gave me 2 differenct opinion for my care

My wife and I went in for simple check-ups with Aetna insurance. I verified while I was at the office that my insurance would cover the entire cost. The staff confirmed that the visit would be 100% covered by my insurance. Later I was billed $244 for the difference between Oil City Dental's charges and what my insurance paid. I called billing to explain. She said that she understands, but I signed an agreement to pay the difference if my insurance didn't cover it. I explained again that the staff told me during the visit that my insurance would cover it entirely. She said she understands (in a pandering tone), but will not write off the excess charge. So I am forced to pay $244 for our check-ups, but I will NEVER give them a chance to scam me again. I highly recommend that you find another dentist.

The Doctor has great customer service. The front desk young representative is not. The first time I went she was not friendly and the second time on the phone, hung up on me as I was saying goodbye. The financial lady was upset this last time, as I was asking regular questions about what my copayments will be. She was negative and was not listening. I asked for a detailed document on what will be done to fix my black tooth and the chip tooth beside it with the cost and just got an estimate that does not have that information. I left a message via phone with the counter representative today

We've been long time customers of theirs, for about 5 /6 years now. Always a pleasure to go in for our visits. We appreciate their flexibility with our hectic schedules. They are always very pleasant, thorough, and easy to work with. They complete their insurance claims promptly and accordingly. We left our last dentist because they tried making us pay for a claim in full when they failed to file accordingly for payment.

Had originally posted a strong review of this business, but that took a sharp turn after they caused a lot of problems for my family. My children, who the first couple visits actually enjoyed going to see them. Later, both were not receiving adequate pain relief and finally cut my sons cheek causing him to now be terrified of the dentist. Much of the work done to them had to be redone at another dentist where my son in particular has to be knocked out because he's so scared now. New dentist commented that a lot of the work was done poorly and on only partial. For me, which I had gone religiously for cleanings and recommended work over the span of 3 years, finally gave in to some fillings which I didn't feel was fully necessary as I had no discomfort, but they're the professionals. Afterwards, I had problems with cold sensitivity and constant mild pain. Also had an instance where I had to cancel last minute, which I called for and they said they would waive the cancellation fee, but when the invoice came for the work previously described, there is was. I refused to pay the fee, paid the rest of the invoice in total and said I would not return. I wish them the best of luck, but my family will go elsewhere.
