I was referred to Dr. Silverstein by my general dentist. Six months ago, I had what was supposed to be a simple procedure, a frenectomy, done at another periodontist's office. There were complications resulting in chin numbness, pain and drooping on one side of my mouth. Dr. Silverstein came highly recommended and I was actually looking forward to a visit, given his credentials. I was hopeful that he would provide some insight, possible help, or a referral to someone who could. Alyssa was great on the phone, but that unfortunately was the end of my positive experience. I arrived for my appointment, the assistant seemed unsure of why I was there, reading from my pre-registration, "It says you are having pain?" This surprised me, since I was under the impression that my general dentist had consulted with them and sent referral information. I asked if they also received records and images from the previous periodontist's office. They hadn't, but didn't seem to want them. I offered to send them from my phone, but was told that wouldn't be necessary. It seemed odd that they would not want records and images. I began explaining to the assistant about my history and concerns. At some point, she stopped me and asked, "So, what are your long term goals as far as gum grafting?" I was floored to be asked this since it had nothing to do with my visit. I tried to make it clear that I have no plans for further procedures until my current pain and issues are resolved. She took multiple pictures of my mouth, using an old point and shoot type of camera, each one brightly flashing right in my face. It seemed unsanitary, repeatedly touching the camera and then my mouth. I was surprised, since most modern practices have dental cameras. She then left the room to download the photos, stating she would go talk with Dr. Silverstein so I wouldn't need to repeat my story. Dr. Silverstein finally entered, said very little, and proceeded to look in my mouth without asking questions or wanting any information. I assumed he was assessing the issues I was having. I assumed wrong, he might have glanced at the healing incision, but he began calling out to the assistant which teeth would need gum grafting. When I tried to redirect him to my current issues, he stated, "It's healing fine, give it time and see what it does." I again asked about the pain and nerve symptoms I was having. He shrugged it off and stated in an arrogant tone, "Well, I didn't do the procedure, so I have no way of knowing what is going on in there." His only offer, "If it is still bothering you in four weeks, you can come back to try laser therapy, but not sure it will help." I tried once again to ask about the pain, numbness, and mentioned the drooping of my mouth. He looked at me and in a sarcastic tone stated, "Well, I haven't seen your face before, so I will just have to take your word for that." By this point, I had tears of frustration rolling down my face. The only compassion Dr. Silverstein showed during the whole visit, he asked someone to get me a tissue. He then condescendingly asked me two times, "Well, what were you expecting me to do for you?" I felt humiliated. He ended by telling me that if there is a nerve issue, that would be up to my primary care provider to deal with. As he left the room, he reminded the assistant to schedule me back in three months to discuss the gum grafting. On my way out, tears still uncontrollably streaming down my face, I was charged $188.00 for this awful visit and expected to schedule a follow up appointment in three months for gum grafting. Seriously? Dr. Silverstein might be technically skilled, but his bedside manner is the worst I have ever encountered. No compassion, no information, nothing helpful, complete arrogance. I wasn't expecting a "magic wand" to fix my issues, but I do think it was reasonable to expect some insight or at least a little empathy. I am so disappointed in this complete waste of time and money and would never go back to Dr. Silverstein.

Have been going to Dr Silverstein for some time now. To say going to the Dentist is enjoyable is a little stretch but almost. The staff is extremely friendly, thorough and appts are always on time. I have had Meagan Bauer for cleanings of recent and she has been great as well!

Everyone at Dr. Silverstein's office has been extremely kind and professional. The office is beautiful with a view of the woods. Both Meghan and Jadie are excellent hygienists and it's been a pleasure going to them.

I have only been going to the Ohio Valley Center for Periodontics for a short time but now consider this my new home for all of my dental needs. I have never been treated nicer in any Dr.'s office. They are so kind and helpful and very professional. They are all about taking care of you and not about taking your money. I wish I had known about them sooner. They are the best!!

Dr. Silverstein and his staff were outstanding. Implant went flawlessly with little or no pain afterwards. Couldn't be more pleased. Would highly recommend.

I visited Ohio Valley Center for Periodontics & Implants for the first time. From the moment I arrived at the office, I was greeted with a personal welcome by Kara at the front desk and Hygienist Jadie. Dr. Silverstein has quality expertise and is knowledgeable, compassionate and patient. He takes the time to explain your treatment options, answers any questions and develops a customized treatment plan that meets your dental and personal needs. Jadie, the Dental Hygienist was very knowledgeable. She not only made me feel comfortable; but gave me confidence that my teeth were in the hands of a professional. Kara, Front Desk Coordinator was very helpful facilitating my referral to a General Dentist. The entire dental team is dedicated to providing the best dental care experience possible. The office is very clean and uses advanced technologies. I highly recommend Dr. Silverstein and his outstanding staff.

Aht Aht that was a nice little excuse but anyways when I made my appointment miss lady on the phone said she already verified my insurance. Anyways as I said unorganized and unprofessional.

It was A awful experience there. We are at self paid customer. When I was getting the test taken on my teeth. She came in and wanted to know how I was going to pay for it. I have plenty of money that would've taken care of my dental ex..... The dental assistant that was taking care of me was amazing..! Well never return there

Everyone at OVCP is competent, efficient, friendly and supportive; and, it has the most amazingly beautiful tropical-tank fish I've ever seen!

Dr. Silverstein and his staff we all very nice. I just found their prices to be extremely high. For just a lower arch $32k. They would need half down before even starting. I know you can get quality upper and lower full arch for around $20k. So, I will be going elsewhere.
