Dr. Lyu is a Bergen County native, growing up in Ramsey, NJ. Heearned both his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Choosing to remain near his hometown, Dr.Lyuchose Columbia University for his postgraduate studies, where he earned both a Masters of Science degree and a Certificate in Prosthodontics.
He excelled above his peers during his three years of prosthodontics residency, achieving the highest number of implant surgeries without a single failure. He became known at Rutgers as a specialist with unique abilities in complex full mouth restoration and presented his challenging cases to both classmates and colleagues
Not only does Dr.Lyuspecialize in prosthodontics, he has also practiced general dentistry for three years and is well-equipped to work in all areas of general dentistry, including oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and pedodontics. Dr.Lyuis trained to treat patients with a complex array of needs, using a multidisciplinary approach.
Each year, Dr.Lyutravels to Oaxaca, Mexico, working with the SOMA mission team to meet the dental needs of those who have no regular access to health care. He feels grateful for the opportunity to share his training, talents, and gifts with those who desperately need dental care.

Very pleasant experience for my nervous elderly mother who doesn't like the dentist. Dr Venuti listened patiently to her concerns, health history, and was thorough. The care was evident with all staff members too.

This was my first visit to Ohana dental on the recommendation of a friend. I was quite pleased with the very thorough examination, X-rays, and cleaning. I was given an estimate of the costs for the procedures that would be performed on my subsequent visits. Everything was done in a very professional manner.

From the first time I called this dentist, the staff was very polite, prompt, and explained the details of my insurance without any hassle. I actually met the staff and dentist today understand why they have a high rate because they are very friendly and hold up to their reputation. Great ,place to go.

Ohana Dental is the best, I feel welcome when I go there. I am well taken care of, the front desk staff is always helpful and courteous. The hygienist are the best and so are the doctors.

Great experience. This is my first visit. staff is extremely friendly. the office is immaculate and equipment is new. The Dentist is fantastic. She gave me many good dental hygiene tips and she's very thorough and very friendly to deal with! I highly recommend!!

The dentist is not one of my favorite places to go, but the doctors and staff at Ohana Dental are the best. Everyone is so nice, considerate and caring. I still can't say I look forward to going to the dentist, but, once I get there, they immediately make me feel relaxed and cared for.

O'Hara is a welcoming and warm place of dentistry! I know that sounds crazy but there is no fear to be had coming to Ohana because you are treated with great respect and care. From the Administrative personnel to the hygienist and Assistants to the doctors- I'll greet you warmly and take very good care of you.

The best Dental Office I have ever been to. Everyone is beyond welcoming from the receptionists, to the hygienists and the dentists themselves. I am not someone who loves going to my dental appointments, but now I am happy when going to Ohana Dental. Everything has been pain free and has left me satisfied each time so far. Great cleanings, great procedures, great staff. Definitely an office you want to go to!

Our family feels so fortunate that Drs Fukuda and Venuti took over our former dentist's practice. We didn't even have to move to find such extremely professional, skilled and compassionate new dentists! They both seem very concerned about patient comfort and they explain everything in a way that is easy to understand. They also provide useful advice. They, and the rest of their staff, are so personable, helpful and accommodating. A pleasure to be a patient at this practice!
