Dr. Joyce M. Roberts was born and raised in Albany, GA where she attended Dougherty County Comprehensive High School. The first in her family to attend college, she enrolled at Albany State University as a Hope Scholar, was selected among Whos Who among American Colleges and Universities (Students) and graduated cum laude from Albany State University with a BS in Biology.

While at Albany State University she developed a love and passion for dentistry and attended dental workshops at the Medical College of Georgia (Georgia Regents University). She then enrolled at the School of Dental Medicine at Georgia Regents University where she was selected as a United Concordia Scholar. While in dental school, she was an active member of the Student National Dental Association, the American Student Dental Association and the Give-A-Smile Organization. She participated in several community events and oral health screenings at schools and the Augusta, GA Flea Market. As part of her involvement with the Medical Campus Outreach organization, she traveled to Port of Spain, Trinidad on a mission trip where she was part of the team that provided free services and oral health education to the residents.

Dr. Roberts obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2009. She is trained in general dental procedures and has enhanced her skills by attending several specialty workshops and training. Dr. Roberts served as an associate from 2009 performing general dentistry services before establishing her own practice, Oglethorpe Family Dental which she purchased from Dr. John P. Johnson in April 2013. As owner, she is committed to providing the best oral care to her patients. In 2014, Oglethorpe Family Dental was selected as Hinesville Best of 2014 for Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Roberts is very passionate about the improvement of oral health in families and stresses the impact of oral health on the overall health of individuals. She has dedicated her life to enhancing the access to oral care for all individuals especially those in underserved populations. Consequently since 2011 she has participated as a provider in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC). The NHSC is a Federal government program administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that helps bring health care to those who need it most. Since its inception in 1972, the program has been building healthy communities by connecting primary health care providers to areas of the United States with limited access to care. Hinesville, GA is one such area and Oglethorpe Family Dental is an NHSC approved health care site.

Dr. Roberts passion and commitment are not limited to the US as she has participated in overseas mission trips that provided free services and oral health education to needy populations in other countries. Dr. Roberts is a member of the American Dental Association since 2005 and member of the Southeastern District Dental Society of Georgia since 2009.

A native of Hinesville and a second generation dentist, Dr. Jonathan P. Johnson is excited about treating patients at Oglethorpe Family Dental, PC. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He furthered his education by receiving his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia (Georgia Regents University) in Augusta, GA. During his senior year, he was awarded in the American Prosthodontic Society as a Scholar.

Striving to expand his clinical knowledge and skills, Dr. Johnson completed a two year General Practice Residency at Georgia Regents University. He received intensive training in I.V. sedation, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and various types of dental surgery. After numerous documented cases of implant placement and restorations, Dr. Johnson became a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Johnson is also an active member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Johnson serves a part time faculty member at Georgia Regents University in the General Practice Residency clinic.

Angie attended Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia, and received her Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993. She later received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene Education in 2006 from the same university.

Angie was born and raised in Jesup, Georgia. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 1993 and has been with Oglethorpe Family Dental since 2001. Angie and her husband, Paul, have a son, Rem, and a daughter, Macie.

Danielle is a 2002 Dental Hygiene Graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University. She has been practicing as a hygienist with Oglethorpe Family Dental ever since. Danielle lives in the Long County area with her husband, Frank, and their five children.

Hannah received her Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Roane State Community College in Tennessee. She has been with Oglethorpe Family Dental since 2013. Hannah lives in Pembroke, Georgia with her husband, Robert, who is stationed at Fort Stewart. They spend their free time enjoying Georgias beautiful coastline, offshore fishing, and the great outdoors. They plan to spend a lifetime enjoying the Savannah area with local friends and family.

Charity has been with Oglethorpe Family Dental since 2004 and has over 15 years of experience in billing and finance. She was born and raised in Kentucky where she attended school and graduated. Charity enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
