I've been coming here for about 3-4 years and have always had good experiences with the doctors and the assistants. We came here for several years. Initially, we thought that the care was good. Around the five year mark we started having issues with the office being willing to provide dental records to oral surgery/orthodontia. I had a couple crowns placed, I didn't really like the way that they looked, but just thought it was what it was. After a few what I would call "weird/bad" judgements I decided to change dentists. Sure enough they said that one of the crowns is completely unacceptable in the way that it's seated. Because it was already covered by insurance, I will now have to pay cash to have the crown replaced - $1,700. I would recommend going to a different dentist after my five year experience.

I have used a number of dentist in the past and Ocotillo Family Dentistry is by far my favorite. They are all so kind and easy to talk to. They do great work at a very affordable price. Today, based on my x-rays I needed a filling and they were able to squeeze me in right then and there instead of scheduling another appointment.

1st Visit - For my first visit, I specifically chose this practice because I found a highly-ranked dentist -- Dr. Prabhsharan Sandhu on my health care provider's website. Dr. Sandhu was excellent and took her time with my first examination. 2nd Visit - On my second visit which was just this week, I took an hour off from my work to attend my dental cleaning for 12PM. When I arrived at the designated time for 12PM, I was told to sit in the waiting area until someone came to get back. I waited for approximately 30-40 minutes until I was taken back to see the doctor, and then I was told that I had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes before I would be seen by the doctor. The doctor that I thought was going to perform the service was not available anymore so they sent in one of the dental hygienist. It would have been courteous to have let me know that I would not be serviced until 1PM or at least re-schedule me for a later time if you guys were extremely behind. Additionally, the dental hygienist performed my dental cleaning was initially doing well in the beginning, taking her time and such. However, towards the end of my appointment when she was doing my final cleaning, she somehow managed to get the water device that was being used to clean out my mouth, spray the water from my mouth to my eyes and hair. Luckily, I had on the eye goggles they gave me earlier to shield my eyes from the water that came spraying from the device and the water that was already filled in my mouth. I would have let it go except it happened again but this time, the water was sprayed on my neck and ears. There was a side comment that was made about my makeup running down and that's what I was feeling. I didn't understand why she would say this as I was not wearing foundation and to say that was what was running down my face was an interesting comment to make considering I was sprayed twice by water, which explains why there was liquid on my face. This is why I am particular about doctors/dentist/practices I go to. Although the hygienist was apologetic and she was friendly, I can deal with one incident but to do it again is being negligent. I'm fortunate that it was the water device and not some other tool that could have caused injury. This is not acceptable. Also, there was a lack of communication from the lady at the front desk on Wednesday because she did not mention not once that they were running behind schedule. The lack of proper communication about a delay in my appointment time (which was a total of an hour), and the failure to exercise due care while cleaning by the hygienist are concerning to me. It's unfortunate that these things happened on my second visit, but if it's going to affect my time, money and personal safety/health, then I have a problem. I wanted to write this review for awareness. I do have additional follow-up appointments, and I hope that they will respect my appointment time in not delaying me in the future like they did this week. I specifically searched for a dentist like Dr. Sandhu for her bedside manners and competence, and I prefer to remain under her care and not be pushed onto some other dentist or tech unless it was something of a minor service like cleaning. We will see how the next appointment goes and I will be sure to update my reviews accordingly based on my experience.

We had an appointment to do repair work for them. The date of the job they did not show up. When we spoke to them they were rude and refused to pay the service charge.They lied about not having an appointment with us and refused to take any more calls from us. I would not trust someone that rude to do business with

I've been coming to Ocotillo Family Dentistry for almost 3 years, and it has been a great experience every time! Everyone is so professional, efficient and friendly. Bethany, in particular, is a fantastic hygienist! She makes the experience great and is super personable. Highly recommend this place!

My appointment went very smoothly and quick! Took about 30-40 mins total after x rays, pictures, cleaning, and flossing, all of which was pain free and easy!
