Infection Control Procedures ensure your safety, and all procedures at our office exceed even the most stringent guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA).
All instruments and hand pieces are autoclave steam sterilized after every use and disposable items are utilized wherever appropriate. Patients and staff wear protective safety glasses during treatment. Disposable gloves are worn while treating patients and are never used on more than one patient. Staff members wear masks during the procedures to protect our patients.
All areas that are touched during the procedures are covered with a plastic wrap and changed after each patient so as to eliminate the potential of cross contamination. All surfaces, chairs, lights and units are thoroughly disinfected with a chemical solution formulated to kill infectious bacteria, spores, and viruses before and after every patient use.
At Oconto Dental, our team members undergo extensive training in sterilization procedures and participate in continuing education courses to keep up-to-date on the most advanced techniques in the industry.
Dr. Weenig is originally from Colorado Springs, CO. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho. He then went on to graduate from the University of Florida School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Weenig later completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency after his DMD for UF in the Navy.
Some of Dr. Weenigs special awards and certifications include completion of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, the Navy Marine Achievement Medal, and Fleet Marine Force Warfare Officer Device.
While Dr. Weenig enjoys all aspects of dentistry, he is especially interested comprehensive care including endodontics, implant dentistry, prosthodontics, periodontics, cosmetic dentistry, operative/restorative dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery and CAD/CAM digital dentistry. He is affiliated with the United States Navy Dental Corps, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Weenig can be found spending time with his wife, Aimee, four boys and one girl; Cason, Brayden, Dylan, Sunny, and Evan. He also enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, mountain biking, playing piano, coaching for youth sports and volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America and Retired Veteran Service Day where he provides free dental care for retired veterans.

Reception/front desk was wonderful. Excellent hygienist April, was very good and listened to any concerns I had. Doctor Josh was caring honest and fair for all my concerns. It was wonderful to be back after three years due to pandemic and everything. Thank you all.

We love oconto dental!!! They are extremely personable and take time for our needs. One of our children has extreme anxiety with going to the dentist and dr Weenig and his staff went above and beyond to take things slow and help make our child's dental experience positive. Definitely worth the 1/2 hour drive - highly recommend!!!

The staff and Dr. Weenig were AMAZING with my Mom, she later commented as to how nice and friendly everyone was and sedation was the best dental experience she's ever had. Amazing dentist I would recommend to everyone!! I was extremely nervous going in about pain etc, and they made me feel safe and comfortable all along the way. The work Dr. Weenig did was par none I am extremely happy with the work he did. Thank you to all the staff for making my visits a wonderful experience!

Usually going to the dentist can be at best an unsettling experience but Oconto Dental was any but. Polite, professional and very knowledgeable. They made sure to answer any questions or concerns I had. If you need to see a dentist I would highly recommend them.

Wife chipped a tooth at 0715am. Started searching for a Dentist as our old Dentist went to Badger Care ONLY...no private insurance. By 0800am we had a 1000am appointment. Filled in forms online, sent via email and the initial visit/paperwork was painless. Wife loved the office staff, hygienist, and Dr Weenig. She is not easily impressed. We have found a new Dental Office and Dentist!!! Now if she could only convince me to go!

The staff at Oconto Dental are all very friendly. They greet me by name. I met Jacky today and she made sure I was comfortable throughout my cleaning. Amber is very good and professional as well.
