Meagan Rouse Office Manager Meagan has been with Oconee Dental, PC since June 2005. She attended the University of Georgia. Meagan welcomes each patient with a smile and makes sure they leave knowing that we care about them. For Meagan, the best part of our practice is our great team, who work well together to meet our patients needs.
Avery Whiddon - Front Office Avery joins our front office team with experience in both the front office and as a dental assistant. She attended the University of North Georgia and Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy. She is dedicated to making every patient feel cared for. She enjoys working with a team and patients who feel like family.
Allison DeMars Dental Assistant Allison has been with our team for 3 years. She works hard to make sure that our patients receive the care they came for and leave happy, and she loves meeting new people and helping them feel good about their smile and themselves.
Chelsey is married to a Marine veteran, and they have two wonderful boys. She is an accomplished equestrian, a diesel truck enthusiast, and serves as a First Responder with the Oconee County Fire Department.
Brooke has been with our practice since September of 2020. She received on the job training as a dental assistant in 2016 and continued her education to receive her expanded duties as a dental assistant in 2018. Brooke enjoys coming to work and meeting new people. She is eager to help anyone she can.
In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym, and spending quality time with her family. She is actively involved in church and wants our patients to know they can always look to her for a smile.
Angie Brooks Registered Dental Hygienist Angie has been with Oconee Dental, PC for 12 years. She attended Gainesville College and Lanier Technical College, earning degrees in applied science and dental hygiene. For Angie, the best part of our practice is her work family, with whom she works closely to care for our patients and make our office a great dental practice. She says, These are the best ladies in the world, and I am lucky to call them my friends.
Debbie Boyd Registered Dental Hygienist Debbie has been with our team for 19 years. She graduated from Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, in 1985, and she genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of her patients, doing her best to help their teeth and gums stay healthy. Her favorite part of our practice is our great teamwork!
Debbie is an Air Force brat her father was career Air Force for 34 years. She and her husband, Derry, have been married for 30 years. They have a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Nicole. When she isnt at our office, Debbie enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her family and animals.
Christina has been with our team for 4 years. She graduated from Athens Technical College in 2008 and was awarded the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award of Excellence. She takes pride in being a part of such a knowledgeable and caring group of dental professionals. She has a wellness-driven philosophy which includes oral health and nutrition in order to give everyone personalized care. Christina loves spending time traveling and being outdoors with her husband and their two boys.
Allison graduated from Athens Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2016. She began her career quickly after graduating, and joined our team in 2020. She always puts the patients needs first and feels that overall health is most important. She takes pride in preventing decay, gingivitis, and periodontal disease.
Allison lives in Winterville with her husband, daughter, and two black labs. She loves to go on vacation and plan weekend trips with her family. You may see her out riding her bicycle, at a yoga studio, or at Trader Joes!

Dr. Harmon-Smith and staff go above and beyond for their patients. They are extremely informative before, during and after a procedure. They offered me many options when it came to payment, and they are willing to take time out of their personal lives and meet you at the office on the weekends if you have a dental issue. I couldn't be more pleased with my results and how I was treated here. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated by everyone like I was a friend, not just a patient. If you need ANY dental work done, go to the best, Dr. Harmon-Smith and staff!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental office! Everyone has been so wonderful. As someone that's always hated the dentist and always put it off... I think it's because I was just going to the wrong place. I wish I'd found this office office much sooner!

Dr Harmon Smith and her staff are great on multiple levels. First as noted many times in the reviews below, these folks are genuinely friendly and accommodating. Megan at the front desk has helped me with multiple billing and insurance issues and no matter how frustrating I must be she's always polite and smiles at me! From a preventive standpoint, I go in regularly for teeth cleanings and my appointments are always quick and thorough. The hygienist is super nice and I really love that super fresh feeling after a good cleaning! From a dental practice standpoint two things stand out. First Dr Harmon Smith is an excellent dentist. She gives good advice and you never feel like you're being sold some kind of unnecessary treatment. She tells you your options and there are usually multiple choices based on budget and situation. I really appreciate hearing all the choices. But the second thing that strikes me is that her equipment is always top-notch. There's always some new technology, some kind of fancy machine for making the dental care process as painless and fast as possible. We have been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. If you are new to the area or looking for the best dentist in town, look no further!

Dr. Harmon-Smith and the staff are fantastic!!! Meagan is always so helpful and polite when calling the office and checking in. They are all so friendly and sincere. I refuse to find a new dentist, even though I have moved a little farther from town. I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

Dr. Harmon-Smith and her staff are outstanding! They treat you as a family member from the minute you walk in til you leave. I have VERY sensitive teeth to metal and it's noted in my chart. I walk in, sit down and they have the topical ready before seeing the dentist hygentist & the dentist. I have a crown (screwed in implant) that she recently put on...Dr. Harmon-Smith was very impressed with the crown and placement. She makes sure it looks good and your happy with it before sealing it. She did an amazing job. Highly recommended!!!

This is the best dental office I've ever been too. Katherine my ALL TIME FAVORITE hygienist is the best in the business. I've never had a better experience before the last 2 times I've came and seen her. GIVE HER A RAISE !!! She's absolutely the best and the nicest hygienist in Athens and I've seen a handful of different ones and none compare. Highly recommend making an appt with her, couldn't ask for a better cleaning experience.

Dr. Smith, Dr. Anthony and all the dental hygiene staff provide excellent, competent, and pain-free care. The office staff go above and beyond to make sure one gets full value from dental insurance and other benefits, even when making referrals to other practices for oral surgery, endo, and other services. Across the board, the staff make it easy to communicate via e-mail, phone, or text as needed--they appreciate that their patients have busy schedules and don't rely on "just the phone" to offer assistance. I recently broke a tooth and required multiple appointments and referrals. i was given a clear and easy to follow treatment plan that accounted for the appointments needed, the costs, the amount of insurance coverage--every detail I needed--so I didn't have to spend time on follow up calls. The office is incredibly clean, recently refurbished and has state of the art dental equipment. No one likes to go to the dentist, but I almost enjoy going to Oconee Dental.

We have been using Oconee Dental for 20+ years. DeAnne and her staff are great. Appointments run on-time, the staff are so very friendly, and the dental work is always great. I highly recommend Oconee Dental.

Oconee Dental is undoubtedly the best dental facility at which I've ever been a patient. I've moved around the country and have therefore seen dozens of dentists, and I've never had such excellent and productive experiences as I continually receive every time I attend an appointment at Oconee Dental. From the providers to the technicians to the administrative staff, this facility is as good as it gets!

As a college student, it's easy to put off going to the dentist since you're away from home. I'm so glad i found Oconee Dental, they made me feel comfortable and the entire experience was a breeze. You can definitely tell that patient care is her #1 priority and i'm so excited that i'm finally getting the smile i've wanted for so long under her care. Friendly and efficient staff. I'm never waiting, they can work with my rotating schedule, and there's never an up-sell for work that I don't need done. I've always felt that the business was ethical. Very clean facility.
