With years of training and expertise, each member of our team treats patients like a member of their own family. We also have team members who speak Spanish to help meet all of our patients needs.
Dr. Jordan D. Colby is passionate about what he does and theres nothing more fulfilling than finding new and innovative ways of doing dentistry which makes it more cost effective and comfortable for his patients!
Dr. Colby completed his undergraduate studies at Hunter University in New York City, obtaining a degree in chemistry and Spanish interpretation and translation, graduating with cum laude honors. He attended the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University, Arizona, where he received his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree. In dental school, he was chairman of the Academy of LDS dentists. There Dr. Colby organized a group of 20 dental students to participate in a two-week dental service mission to the island of Tonga, where more than 400 locals received free dental care.
Dr. Colby stays at the forefront in dentistry because he recognizes the importance of continually learning. He regularly attends education courses with SD CEREC docs and Spear education seminars and other prestigious post-graduate training courses
Dr. Colby grew up in Carpinteria, California playing football and volleyball. He married his high school sweetheart, and together they have four daughters along with a Golden Retriever named Redford and two cats. When hes not working, he enjoys road biking, swimming, and finding the best places to eat tacos.
Mireya is our Hygiene Coordinator and has worked in dental admin for over 25 years! She loves helping our patients and always has a smile on her face! She loves spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling!

Oceanview Dental is by far hands-down the best dentist ever! I've been coming here for nearly 40 years! They always make you feel extra special and not just a number! The other day I had broken a crown. I called the office and was transferred to the emergency number after hours. I actually got a live person! Malea made such an effort to have my crown fixed the following day even though the office was closed. Alicia came in on her day off and took care of my tooth so I would not have to wait until Monday! Thanks for going the extra mile!!

Dr. Colby, his team, the front staff, they always make me feel at home. The service I get is beyond 5 stars! Dr. Colby and his team allow me to feel comfortable and help ease the discomfort of having work done on my teeth. Answering all my questions, ensuring that I am taken care, and wanting to help my financial situation, has made me regret not coming sooner than I did. I am grateful to be a patient at this office as I would not have it any other way. The front staff are wonderful! Calling for me to find out what coverage I have or what financial plan I am eligible for has assured me that I am in the best hands. I absolutely recommend anyone to be a patient at this office. I have been to other Dentists before, none come close to the service I receive when coming to Oceanview Dental. Not to mention the most important part, the work that was done on my teeth was impeccable. I have never been more excited to go to the dentist now that I have seen what great advice, amazing care, and generous hospitality Oceanview Dental has to offer. Dr. Colby, your team has done everything right, I could not ask for more. Thank you all for what you do, you all deserve the world and more. Dr. Colby is patient, kind, efficient. Alicia great at explaining procedures. Miriam (sp) and Mirreya (sp) are very welcoming. A practice worth your time and getting to know. My implants are beautiful

I needed a repair on an upper partial where the 2 front teeth had broke off. The partial needed to be sent to the dental lab at Code Smile. Dr. Jordan Colby had it turned back around in 5 hours and in my mouth within 6 hours. I highly recommend him and his staff. Very professional and very clean operation.

Dr. Colby is an excellent dentist. He is not only up-to-date on current dental practices, but also is forward thinking with the latest technology to make your teeth and mouth not only healthy, but cosmetically pleasing as well. My teeth look SO much better with his care.

Love my OVD team! Have been going to Oceanview for as long as I can remember and it is a pleasure ever time! The girls are the best, always greeted with a beautiful smile from Mireya, the sweetest, most caring front desk manager! Office is always super clean and recently got a beautiful upgraded look that makes you feel relaxed, refreshed, and comfortable! Miriam, the office manager, is also very sweet and kind. The whole team is very caring and is excellent at what they do! Oceanview always makes you feel like family and thanks to them I have a smile I am proud of! I always recommend OVD when anyone asks where I got my smile! ;)

My family recently moved to the area and we found this office via recommendation on our community's facebook group. My experience was exceptional from start to finish. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the office was clean and fresh, and the technology was beyond what I had ever experienced before in other dental offices. I didn't feel pressured to move forward with unnecessary procedures, but I was given plenty of detailed information to help me with my short-term and long-term dental health and goals. This team goes above and beyond to create a professional yet personalized atmosphere, and I will definitely continue to recommend this office to my friends, family, and neighbors.

I am a longtime patient of the Oceanview Dental practice (17+ years). When Dr. Colby took over the practice a few years ago after Dr. Hargas retired, I debated on continuing the long drive from Murrieta for my dental care. However, after my first appointment with Dr. Colby, I was put at such ease. He is friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive - All the things you look for when seeking a new dentist. The staff & hygienists are also amazing. I always leave my appointments with a smile on my face. The office has been newly refurbished too and the beautiful design choices really add a calm & relaxing ambiance to the space. The warm lavender washcloths after treatment are a nice surprise as well! If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Colby and Oceanview Dental! You won't be disappointed!
