After graduating with his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Chad Hoecker opened his fee for service practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Shortly following the start of his practice, he recognized there was an unmet need for dental care for low-income families. Further research supported this conclusion; such as the Surgeon Generals report on Oral Health in America, which indicates children from low-income families suffer twice as many cavities as their more affluent peers, and their disease is more likely to go untreated. This knowledge and his desire to help led him to open his traditional practice to Medicaid.
The initial response to Medicaid acceptance was overwhelming and far-reaching. Fee-for-service clinics accepting Medicaid are often limited by the extensive financial and scheduling complications presented when processing Medicaid patients. Because the Ocean Dental system is built on a Medicaid model, our clinics are able to provide high quality dental care to the most underserved socioeconomic group in the country.
Part of what makes Ocean Dental unique is not the work done, but how it is done, states Ocean Dental Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Chad Hoecker, D.D.S. Every clinic is designed to create a unique experience for the patients. Each new facilitys interior reflects an ocean theme from front to back, using vibrant colors and tropical decorations, said Dr. Hoecker. To add to the experience, televisions are above each chair to keep patients entertained during treatment. The professional staff is well-versed in dealing with children and adults. Altogether, it helps to create a positive, memorable and fun experience for patients and their families.

I love Ocean Dental. My sons have always received exceptional dental care here. The ladies are always professional. I would recommend Oceans Dental to anyone who has small children because the RDAs are very patient and kind...character traits that are extremely important with small patients.

I came here for a scheduled visit to have all my wisdom teeth pulled about 5yrs ago. Everything felt like it was going to be smooth..i was numbed about 4 times and still felt the pain of them pulling the bottoms out but that's not the worst part, nobody told me that they might have "accidentally" crack my third molar on the left. I had to deal with that pain for a while i was just thinking it was a slight toothache from the surgery or something. Until pain became too much and i had to make a appointment asap, got to the dentist they told me my back molar was cracked so i ended up loosing a extra tooth but they also caught something else ! They never got all of the wisdom tooth out next to my third molar so it growled back and i have to have it removed again! So keep your wisdoms if they aren't bothering you if they are go to someone professional pls.

The people that work at Ocean Dental were professional, courteous, and compassionate. I did not have an appointment but was in need of urgent dental care..they immediately saw to my needs and I was thrilled with the results! The pricing I thought was very fair.

I rated this business so low because my experience with them was VERY UNORGANIZED!!! I had 2 appointments scheduled for a Monday an a Tuesday back to back. My Monday appointment was cancelled on the Thursday before because their hygienist would only be in, the VERY NEXT day. My options were that I could either reschedule for that day or take the next available appointment in June. I wasn't able to do that because it was such short notice. Mind that the receptionist set this appointment for me. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. Maybe they didn't know that the hygienist was out. On Tuesday I made it to my appointment and the receptionist starts talking about I was there for an extraction. The appointment was NOT for an extraction but for a filling. I am at an aww state of mind. I will not be going back here or taking my child. This place needs to get organized.

I'm a Dental Assistant Student and I went up there for a teeth cleaning. UNPROFESSIONAL. While doing my X-ray I didn't have on a lead apron. They didn't tell me what they were going to do before they started working on my mouth. The DA that polished my teeth rolled over my lips multiple times. I told them my wisdom tooth was hurting and they weren't careful at all. Honestly made it hurt worse. I do not recommend. Bathroom was dirty and front desk staff had noticeably attitudes.

They are wonderful and treat my children with great care. My 2 year old with Down syndrome was treated with respect and love. I adore the staff here.
