After graduating with his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Chad Hoecker opened his fee for service practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Shortly following the start of his practice, he recognized there was an unmet need for dental care for low-income families. Further research supported this conclusion; such as the Surgeon Generals report on Oral Health in America, which indicates children from low-income families suffer twice as many cavities as their more affluent peers, and their disease is more likely to go untreated. This knowledge and his desire to help led him to open his traditional practice to Medicaid.

The initial response to Medicaid acceptance was overwhelming and far-reaching. Fee-for-service clinics accepting Medicaid are often limited by the extensive financial and scheduling complications presented when processing Medicaid patients. Because the Ocean Dental system is built on a Medicaid model, our clinics are able to provide high quality dental care to the most underserved socioeconomic group in the country.

Part of what makes Ocean Dental unique is not the work done, but how it is done, states Ocean Dental Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Chad Hoecker, D.D.S. Every clinic is designed to create a unique experience for the patients. Each new facilitys interior reflects an ocean theme from front to back, using vibrant colors and tropical decorations, said Dr. Hoecker. To add to the experience, televisions are above each chair to keep patients entertained during treatment. The professional staff is well-versed in dealing with children and adults. Altogether, it helps to create a positive, memorable and fun experience for patients and their families.

Ocean Dental is focused on creating an unmatched dental experience for our patients. Each individual employee of Ocean Dental is part of a united force that is taking Ocean Dental to new heights and bringing more successes with each coming year.

They have helped me, they do great work, really nice people for the most part... but if your without means of phone service they will likely disrespectfullu disappoint you by not giving you a chance to even make your appointment date and time before they cancel your appointment, meaning if you don't answer your phone cause your busy at qork, going to church or whatever the case may be they will cancel your appointment for you... I felt like I was the last thing they are worried about helping I have had trouble with there sign up and sign in digital website and asked for help and they handed me a tablet and didn't help at all.

Full extractions and dentures. Rough experience. Care, compassion, humility, privacy, hygiene were sorely lacking. The office was freezing cold. I have never seen a practice operate so poorly. After all was said and done, we were leaving as office was closing for the night. We asked they call in the scripts to a local pharmacy so we could avoid infection and pain on the long drive home. We get to pharmacy and discovered they didn't call in anything. The night was spent with ice packs, tears, and nausea because of lack of integrity and forethought. In stark contrast, other practioners I have had the pleasure of working with cared enough to send their personal contact info home with their patients.

My daughter, Madison had an extraction and two fillings. It was a quick procedure and it went smoothly. The Dentist was very good. We would definitely recommend Ocean Dental.

I have been going to this dentist since i was a child. I never had any problems until now. I had 8 cavities that needed to be filled. That was my fault because I don't floss very well and i was always busy with college so i couldn't go for a very long time. Anyway they were supposed to fix them but they made my teeth worse. I had to go back 7 times in one month because the doctor screwed up a filling and so I had to get it fixed. Once he "fixed it" i started having severe pain that made my jaw, teeth, and ear hurt. Eventually the pain got so bad that I couldn't even touch the tooth. They wanted to give me a root canal, very expensive, and I was in tears and said pull it out. So i lost the biggest tooth I had because of them. Also the tooth had decay on it. Like why didn't you guys see that in the multiple xrays you did on my mouth huh? Not to mention I had to go back again to get the left side fixed and now it is doing the same pain as before and I'm worried i will lose another tooth because of them. I am also highly sensitive to cold things even way worse than before. They have ruined my mouth and I can't even eat normally now. Will never be going back again. No matter how nice they seem.

Took my daughter to get her teeth cleaned. She walks out with a scrape on her chin and her lip swollen. I walked back in and asked what happened? They replied, "She must of got that from playing at the playgrounds in school"... They really think I wouldn't have notice if my OWN child had an accident from her school. Plus, the school would of called and notify us. That was their answer and they were convinced with their lies. I'm never, ever, ever, ever coming back here!

My son was told he was scheduled for an appointment for surgery on the 20th. So we got given a large brown envelope telling me what days to get his covid test done and what days to get a physical so he was ready for surgery. That envelope had the dates the receptionist told me. Right after that talk I made a call and made his physical then proceeded to call the dentist back and told them where his physical was and what day so they could send over the papers needed. I then this morning get a text message confirming his surgery for the 14?! So I call to figure out the issue and she said my appointment was never changed. It does say in the notes the surgery was supposed to be on the 20th but it was scheduled for the 14th. She called it an office miscommunication. Then proceed to say this happens all the time. What?!,!?! That should not happen all the time. My sons appointments aren't the only ones I have scheduled so I have now had to move around 3 other things to make room for his sudden change in appointments! Peoples lives aren't that flexible! There should not be those kind of errors all the time. Thats completely unprofessional. After its all said and done she's wanting me to call back with where my sons physical will be which also blows my mind because I've already told you the darn doctor before!!!!! What the hell goes on in the office does anything get wrote down? Does anything get scheduled when patients are told its going to be scheduled??? Not even a genuine sorry! Terrible! I would rather drive all the way to edmond!!

I went here a month ago and I saw another doctor and was trying to put a piece of iron on him and he said he wanted to open my daughter's mouth to get braces. When I got home my daughter was in terrible pain and came back. tomorrow they said they will fix it. I asked to take it off because my baby was in unbearable pain but they still won't take it off I just removed it. And what medication did they apply to make my baby's teeth fall out early. It's been 2 months since the tooth hasn't fallen out and it started to hurt again. I went back yesterday and I saw swelling on one side, I told you. the aide said there was no swelling, but my son and I saw it clearly. I was very angry. and then they caused my child a lot of pain. and I told the 2 women there. one people are practicing. I told them my child was in pain and they also confirmed that it was not painful. I was too angry. Then waiting for the doctor to come in and he said that my son was brushing his teeth the wrong way, but that was okay. It's swollen like that. But my baby told him to beat gently as usual, not hard. And today I have to send my son to OKC to see another doctor, and I will never come back here again, I find the service and manner of speaking very good. is barbaric and too horrible, please be careful

All my wife needed was x-rays, and they strong-armed her into getting half her teeth drilled for cavities that weren't there. Some female dentist maxed out her dental insurance for the year. Go literally ANYWHERE else.

Extremely long wait time. It was our first visit...I have a 2 year old with autism and 4 year old. We were the first ones there and my kids were schedules back to back. The waiting room quickly filled up. My 2 year old was seen after waiting about 40 minutes and my 4 year old wasn't seen until after 3 hours of waiting. I am glad my husband was in town from work to be able to come pick up my autistic child but I won't be coming back because of this being our first experience here and not being a pleasant one. On another note the dentist was very kind as well as the hygienist so if the wait wasn't so bad I would have given a decent review

Be prepared to wait, even if you are the first one checked in. I always make an appt for my two children on the same day and expect to at least spend two hours. They definitely need to work on their workflow of patients or revamp their appointment scheduling process.
