After graduating with his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Chad Hoecker opened his fee for service practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Shortly following the start of his practice, he recognized there was an unmet need for dental care for low-income families. Further research supported this conclusion; such as the Surgeon Generals report on Oral Health in America, which indicates children from low-income families suffer twice as many cavities as their more affluent peers, and their disease is more likely to go untreated. This knowledge and his desire to help led him to open his traditional practice to Medicaid.
The initial response to Medicaid acceptance was overwhelming and far-reaching. Fee-for-service clinics accepting Medicaid are often limited by the extensive financial and scheduling complications presented when processing Medicaid patients. Because the Ocean Dental system is built on a Medicaid model, our clinics are able to provide high quality dental care to the most underserved socioeconomic group in the country.

To add to the experience, televisions are above each chair to keep patients entertained during treatment. The professional staff is well-versed in dealing with children and adults. My worst experience ever in different occasions , my son has got a teeth which is paining him a lot and his gum is swollen I called on Friday, they couldn't help instead they told me to wait till Monday and they couldn't do anything for him for emergency and this is not the first. I am disappointed with this place I will never take him there again

Got my wisdom teeth done. They didn't numb me up enough and told me to shut up while I was in pain. Every worker was extremely rude. I've been going there since I was little and I'm definitely not going back

They cancel my appointment 3 times, can you believe it or not. Also, my brother and sister had a appointment on July 23rd, 2021 at 4pm and they need it before school start this August. When we were arrived there, the staff told us that the clinic was close at 3pm. Moreover, they didn't even call us or gave us a notice that the clinic going to be closed. If they're going to be closed at that time why they scheduled us at 4pm. The front staff also so rude they need more training. To whoever belong to Ocean Dental clinical if you read this review please considering the staffs who work there, they need more trading on how to schedule people and more training on how to respect other cultures.

Dont take your kids here. You'll regret it. I took both my boys here. They had the worst experience they've ever had with a dentist. I waited for 7 months for a referral to iowa city for my special needs son. I finally switched dentist's. I was told that his tooth would need to be pulled and they were going to refer him to iowa city, come to find out they didnt have a treatment plan for him. They told the new dentist that he had never been seen there and didnt have xrays on file. I called and asked about it they sent the files over to the new dentist. Then i find out ocean dental didnt even check him out or anything. The service there was horrible. They dropped the ball and didnt care about my son at all. Just like many other patients. Dont put your kids through this. Go to south side dental.

My 7 year old grandson had a severe toothache and no one else could get him in for at least a month. They got him right in within a day or two and they had the two teeth that were bothering him out within around 30-45 minutes and he didn't shed one tear. Even better, he has more dental work to be done and he's not scared to go back. I can't thank them enough!

When I first walked in I was worried. These people are awesome! My son got in for his cleaning they found a cavity and got it fixed that day. I am extremely impressed with how awesome my experience was thank you!!

My kids says this is the worst dentist they ever went to! No one has nice manners they don't treat kids very nice and are completely rude to everyone! We'll NEVER go back. Not even sure how they are still a running office!

This place is wonderful! I had to take the time to write this review because the staff there were very nice, friendly helpful and went above and beyond. Also the whole dental procedure was not painful. I will highly recommend this place.

Claimed I had tons of cavities that needed filled...never had a cavity in my life... Got a 2nd opinion...i had ZERO cavities!!! I also have a few friends this has happened to them or their children!

Never have been impressed with this place. Now this time they calk my wife with an appt reminder for my kids stating the time in the morning, then I got a confirmation text stating the times were in the afternoon. So I called to see what was up and after waiting on hold forever I was told that they didn't even have appts until the following week. Kinda hard to plan for time off and such when they can't get there act together.

The staff gave me misinformation when I made the appointment for my daughter. When we got there I refuse to let them see my daughter because it looked like a rural health department somewhere. She and I were both uncomfortable. Place is extremely dirty

Was a great place, was my go to dentist forever, then was told I can't make an appointment because they're only seeing kids during covid. Worst business model ever, evidently only kids have dental issues right now. Will never recommend again.
