Dr. Stephen Obeng grew up in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago before his family chose to settle in Ormond Beach. Dr. Obeng completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Spruce Creek High School and later attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned his B.S. degree in Health Science and discovered his passion for Dentistry. Prior to starting dental school, Dr. Obeng completed an accelerated Masters program in Biomedical Science, and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Floridas College of Dentistry (Go Gators)!
While in dental school, Dr. Obeng held numerous leadership positions, including the Dental Ambassadors, Admissions Outreach Ambassadors, yearly mission trips to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, and was co-founder of the annual philanthropy, Super Sealant Saturday. Super Sealant Saturday is an annual event which provides preventative dental services to low-income families in the Gainesville community. Following dental school, Dr. Obeng furthered his education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the Orlando VA Medical Center. During this program, Dr. Obeng expanded his knowledge on implant placement, implant restorations, socket preservation, restoration of vertical dimension of occlusion, anterior esthetics, root canal therapy and management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Obeng is a member and fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI), the local Volusia/Flagler Dental Society, Central Florida District Association, Florida Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Obeng enjoys spending time with his wife, their puppy, Tucker and their cat Tedward. As a family, they love to try authentic cuisines, attend church, and participate in outdoor activities such as biking, running, and hiking. The best experience I've ever had at any dentist office! Friendly and helpful staff assisted me in getting a last-minute appointment. They were all very flexible and understanding. Dr. Obeng was extremely thorough and explained everything he was doing and what needed done. Would recommend to anyone!

Hey! What a kind Doctor! We are Canadians. Came for vacation to Daytona Beach, unfortunately, we were in desperate need of dental attention. The office staff has promptly addressed our needs. This Doc! This support staff! The fact that they took me the following day as a new patient with an issue and addressed it same day due to a time sensitive situation and executed it beautifully & professionally...PERFECTION! Love them all and I will certainly be back!

Everyone is very friendly. I like that they provide a print out of your teeth with a treatment plan and also explain everything. I was very anxious because I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time and they put me at ease.

The experience was fantastic from first contact through the first appointment. Dr Obeng has a great manner and you know you're in good hands. Really good hands. The treatment plan is explained carefully yet simply. I especially liked the woman with the great eyes. I'm writing a song about her.

Dr. Obeng came in on a day he normally does not work to fix my chipped tooth. He was accommodating to my schedule. My tooth looks like nothing ever happened, and it was a pain-free experience. Super professional atmosphere, nice staff, and all around great place! Highly recommend and will return if ever needed.
