Dr.Oaxaca began practicing dentistry in 1989 and joined the practice in 1991, having been an associate and then owner alongside Dr. Geoffrey Glass. His thoughtful and calculated approach to dentistry has allowed him to help maintain and enhance a culture in the practice that joins a holistic approach to dentistry with technology to provide the best care for each patient. His passion for technology has helped him lead the practice to engage in progressive, cutting edge computerized dentistry.

Dr. Oaxaca is a member of the Seal Beach Dental Study Club and is certified in DOCS. He also holds a Certification in Enology and Viticulture from UC Davis and owns and manages Clark Fork Vineyard, a USDA-Certified Organic and Montana Certified Organic farm, in Huson, Montana. He is also a partner in the Pavo Real Vineyard in Jacksonville, Oregon.

Dr. Ong started practicing dentistry 24 years ago and joined the practice 10 years ago after successfully building his own dental practice in the Yorba Linda area. He loves dentistry and feels that mastering his craft through education and practice is a hobby.

As a general dentist now specially trained in implantology, Dr. Ong has focused his love for implants and surgery by completing his Masters ICOI. He has also completed his Masters in the AGD program. Because of this extensive training, he is the surgeon in the office and will handle cases for all patients of the practice. Dr. Ong has been instrumental in selecting the technology within the specialty suite expansion, and as a result of the new devices and his specialty training, the practice can now treat over 95% of our patient needs in house.

Dr. Ong comes from a dental family- his mother and brother are dentists and his father is a physician, so his love for helping others through the latest developments has been lifelong. When hes not in the office, he and his wife thoroughly enjoy showing their two daughters the world through travel and horseback riding. Dr. Ong also rides as a volunteer L.A. County Sheriffs Department Mounted Deputy.

Michael Jensen, D. D. S. earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California at Davis. He then went on to graduate with honors from The University of the Pacific School of Dentistry located in San Francisco. Dr. Jensen began practicing in Upland, CA in 2010 where he performed mostly oral surgery procedures such as wisdom teeth extraction and dental implants.

Dr. Jensen joined Dr. Jorge Oaxaca and Dr. Howard Ong at Oaxaca, Ong and Jensen DDS in Seal Beach in 2015. Dr. Jensen has advanced education in sedation dentistry and holds a permit to administer IV moderate sedation in the office.

Karah has been providing expert care coordination in our office since 2000. She is one of the people who will be cheerfully answering the phone and welcoming you to our office. Karah enjoys making patients feel at home when they step into the office, and loves that the practice focuses on oral and systemic health. When not providing continuing care for our patients, she enjoys crafting, camping and spending time with her husband and three wonderful children.

Heidis passion for helping people achieve beautiful smiles began with her 10+ years experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator. She joined our team in 2016 and firmly believes the key to a great smile begins with a healthy foundation in which to maintain your long term oral health. Heidis other passions include spending time with friends and family, music, and traveling, especially on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Karrali has been a part of our Administrative Team since 2015. She has three children (one girl and two boys), and when shes not greeting you as you enter our office, Karrali enjoys reading and watching her daughter sing in the Los Alamitos High School Choir as well as watching her boys discover their new talents.

Cynthia has been in dentistry for 20+ years and joined our practice in 2002. She enjoys helping patients achieve better oral health by sharing her knowledge with them. When Cynthia is not working withpatients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite quotes is 'Whoever is happy will make others happy.'

Mary Leanna has been working in Dentistry since she was 19 and joined our team in 2012. She loves every aspect of the dental field, especially the smiles and life long friendships she gets to make with the patients.Mary Leanna is always continuing her education to further her career and provide her patients with the best care and latest technology. She completed a continuing education program at UCLA in 2016 and obtained an Expanded Functions State License. She is married and has a son, and feels truly blessed to live and work in Seal Beach.

Dentistry has been part of Nanines world for over half of her life, and has been with our practice since 1990. Her goal is to complete 50 years of service, as dentistry has been a good fit as she enjoys helping people understand how the mouth relates to the entire body. Some of Nanines best moments are when she sees the light bulb go off in patients minds as they begin to understand that important connection. She feels that our practice helps patients reach people at their level of understanding and that because of that, patients continue to make our practice successful. Outside of the office, Nanine enjoys the gym, skiing, traveling, cooking and gardening, and spending time with her kids and family.

Solinda has 10+ years working as a Registered Dental Assistant and joined our practice in 2016. She enjoys caring for our patients and helping them to make the best decisions for their dental needs. During her down time, Solinda enjoys spending time with family and exploring new eateries.

Monica has been in dentistry for over 12 years and has been in our practice since 2016. She stays current with continuing dental education classes and is committed to providing quality dental care. She enjoys helping her patients improve and maintain their dental health. In her free time, she enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer dentistry. Monica loves to travel, spend quality time with family and staying active outdoors.

Ashley joined our practice in 2018. She received her license as a Registered Dental Assistant from Orange Coast College in 2007. She continued her education at Cal State University, Long Beach in 2012 and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication. She is passionate about patient interaction and believes in the importance of establishing relationships with them. In her free time Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband Jared, their daughter Ava and their little dog Elly.

Leanne has been a part of hygiene team since 2002. She loves helping patients improve their oral health and maintaining their smile. Seeing patients doing well is very gratifying to her. Leanne loves to travel and explore the world when shes not with her patients, and enjoys hiking and baking outside the office.

Lyn became part of our hygiene team in 2014. She has always been passionate about being a dental hygienist, and especially loves all aspects of patient care and the teamwork of the profession which keeps her engaged. Lyn has a son who goes to college at University of Washington, and loves staying active in yoga, dancing, snowboarding, surfing, hiking and traveling around the world. Lyns sense of humor shows through in her favorite quote: 'Im going to stand outside, so if anyone asks, Im outstanding.'

Chantel began her hygiene career in 2010 after graduating from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in Canada. She then relocated to sunny Southern California after marrying her husband CJ. She has been practicing hygiene since 2014, and joined our team in 2017. Being around siblings who are in the dental profession, choosing a career in hygiene was an easy decision. Compassion is definitely a characteristic that defines Chantels approach to hygiene. Chantel loves the opportunity to help her patients understand why complete oral care is beneficial to their overall health. Chantel is very personable and friendly, and strives on having her patients enjoy a comfortable experience during their dental visit. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoys hiking, practicing yoga and trips up the coast with her husband on their Harley.

Charlotte has been a part of dentistry for 40+ years, and has been with our practice since 1977. She loves the awesome patients of the practice, working with the gifted doctors of the practice, and her supportive and loyal co-workers, who like to affectionately call her Char-latt. Charlotte has been married for many years and has a daughter, son and granddaughter and grandson. Her passions in life include her loving and kind husband, her high-energy Westie mix dog, Daisy, and life itself, including the wonders of nature and spectacular sunsets. Charlotte also enjoys gardening, walking Daisy, shopping and learning the art of juggling. She suggests to everyone to keep laughing with her sense of humor and often shares her favorite quote: Im hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit!

April has been a hygienist with our practice since 2014. She attended dental hygiene school at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT, the birthplace of dental hygiene. After graduating, April lived and began her work in dentistry in New York City where she specialized in cosmetic dentistry as well as pediatrics. Now that she is back in Long Beach, she enjoys riding her bike, traveling and spending time with family.

Erin joined us in 2016 and is passionate about providing high-quality oral health care with a gentle touch. Her goal is for every patient to leave our office healthier and happier. Outside the office, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and being active, hiking, traveling the world, and she is obsessed with the beach.

Sarah joined our hygiene team in the beginning of 2019. Prior to becoming a hygienist, she worked as a dental assistant, which adds to her skill set of patient care. She has a passion for helping patients achieve their optimal oral health and when not working she enjoys surfing, fishing and traveling.
