City, Nebraska and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at theUniversity of Nebraska. She went on to complete a one-year Advanced Education in GeneralDentistry residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she practiced morecomplex restorative, implant, and oral surgery procedures. Since completing her residency, Dr.Oatman has been practicing in Independence, MO for the past five years.
Dr. Oatman is passionate about continuing education and learning about the most current research in the field of dentistry. She is currently pursuing her fellowship through the Academy of General Dentistry and has completed over four hundred hours of continuing education courses. Dr. Oatman is actively involved in the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, having recently completed a term serving on their Board of Directors. She is currently serving as a delegate to the Missouri Dental Association. She holds dental licenses in Missouri and Nebraska.
Dr. Oatman and her husband, Ryan, live in Lees Summit with their two young children, Madilyn and Zoey. Dr.Oatman enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and following her favorite sports teams.

Dr. Oatman is, quite literally, the best Dentist I have ever had. She and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and very gentle. Definitely choose her if you are nervous around dentists - she goes out of her way to make the experience comfortable.

Dr. Katie Oatman is caring and trustworthy. She always let's me know all my options and communicates clearly. After a previous bad dental experience, she restored my trust in the profession and keeps my mouth healthy. Her new hygienist, Beth, is equally gentle with a superb chairside manner. Dr Lohr has been my dentist for many years, I would have left a review long before now had I noticed the review option when looking for his phone number (that I misplaced). If you expect the best care & up to date dentistry available Dr Lohr is the dentist for you .The staff members are friendly, caring & make you feel comfortable, Through the years when I needed attention on short notice they were always accommodating & concerned about my problem.
