In college, Dr. Hung spent a year studying in Japan and was enthralled by its culture, language, and unique perspective. Dr. Hung was always interested in human physiology, but he stumbled across dentistry while working as a volunteer chair-side assistant at a student-run clinic that cared for the underserved. He also was fortunate to be paired with an inspiring mentor dentist through a healthcare professional mentorship program on campus. He became a dentist to help people, and he values its evidence-based, preventative approach.
After Dr. Hung graduated from the University of California in San Diego, he studied at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Following that, he completed a general practice residency at the University of Washington to further advance his clinical skills. He is currently a member of the following professional organizations:
When hes not with patients, Dr. Hung is often found enjoying the scenery at Puget Sound or choosing flowers at Pike Place Market. When weather permits, he also likes to hike trails on Mt. Baker or Mt. Rainier. He also enjoys working out at the gym, playing tennis and volleyball, and spending quality time with family, friends, and his adopted Michigan domestic short-hair cat, Mochi.
