In many health care delivery systems, patients and doctors often experience restricted choices with regard to their treatment due to limitations of insurance plans. In this situation, neither patient nor doctor is free to choose the best treatment. Therefore, I encourage everyone to read and understand their plans benefits and restrictions, but also understand that while those benefits are helpful, they may not fully address the best choices for their health. I strive to create an environment where we can choose the best treatment plan that is consistent to patients needs, wants, values, and overall wellness. I am sure that everyone is well aware of how dental health can affect and have strong correlation to a persons overall wellness. Therefore, my treatment plan will reflect the identification of harmful factors, explain consequences of non-treatment in both the short and long term, and include recommendation of bio-compatible material. I believe that knowledge is the root of rational decision and action; therefore, I prefer to take time to ensure that every patient understands their treatment needs. My goal is not to just focus on one individual problem but to guide everyone towards long term happiness and health in dental care.
Doctor Gwen Huynh was born in Saigon, Vietnam and then moved with her family to United States. At first, she resided in Hawaii but then she moved to California to complete research and her bachelor degree at UCLA. She then went on to attend Dental School at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduating dental school, she completed residency at St. Vincent Charity Hospital also in Cleveland, Ohio. She finally moved to Arizona and decided to settle here. Dr. Huynh has served as the senior managing doctor for a large dental practice and collaborated with several private practices before founding Oasis Dentistry.She currently lives in Peoria, AZwith her husband Baron and two dogs Akela (Basenji/Collie mix) and Nali (Miniature Schnauzer).
