General and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Ramin Goshtasbi, or Dr. G as he is known, is a native of San Diego. He lives with his wife and their dog, Josie, in Scripps Ranch, California. He comes from a family of dentists and physicians, including his father and sister. It was watching his sister in dental school that made him realize he wanted to serve society as a friendly, gentle dentist.
Dr. Goshtasbi graduated from Torrey Pines High School and received his undergraduate degree in biology from San Diego State University. He then went on to pursue his long-time dream of becoming a cosmetic dentist. He obtained his degree of doctor of dental surgery from New York University, where, among other accolades, he was top ranked in clinical dentistry.
Dr. Goshtasbi strives to become the best cosmetic dentist he can be. He works hard on continuing education so that his patients receive the most comprehensive and best care possible in a warm and gentle manner. He has trained extensively in implant and cosmetic dentistry as well as Invisalign, resulting in many units of continuing dental education a year. This far exceeds the minimum requirement of the California Dental Board.
In his free time Dr. Goshtasbi performs community service by donating his expertise as a dentist to those in need. This makes Dr. Goshtasbi realize that the economic market may make it hard for many well-deserving patients in need of quality dental care to afford such care. Dr. Goshtasbi always weighs the cost to patients when introducing new techniques or technology. He only introduces those advances that offer substantial improvements in quality of care or experience.
Dr. Goshtasbi and his staff are residents of San Diego, CA. They are seasoned dental professionals who take pride in bringing you gentle and friendly dentistry. Dr. G (as he is known) lives with his wonderful wife Katy and their two dogs in Scripps Ranch, California.

He genuinely cares for his patients and it shows. He is always looking at technology that will bring comfort to his patients. When Dr. G. introduces new techniques or technology. He only introduces those advances that offer substantial improvements in quality of care or experience. Dr. G takes pride in the products that he uses in his office. Every product used on his patients has been thoroughly researched and even tried by him.
If you were to ask Dr. G what he is about, he would say that he wants what is best for his patients. He sees himself as someone who can relate to his patients. He prides himself on being economically friendly, drives a Hybrid, and supports alternate energy. Dr. G has many hobbies many of which involve creating artistic things with his hands. Some of his hobbies include carving fishing lures from wood, making things such as exotic bowls and pouring resins to encapsulate his pieces of art. Dr. G. can fix just about anything and he loves his art, but he is most passionate about his art of dentistry.
Katy Goshtasbi is Dr. Goshtasbis wife. They live in Scripps Ranch where she also runs her consulting business (www.purisconsulting.com). Katy helped set up the dental office and runs the front office as needed. She is a dental consultant so she is well familiar with how a dental office runs. Katy has bachelor degree in Finance and a law degree. Katy serves on three charitable boards of directors. In her spare time she loves to swim, meditate, and participates in community service. She is also a yoga instructor and has a weakness for dark chocolate. Please stop by to meet and say hi to Katy and the rest of the team.
Melanie has been in the dental field for more than 20 years. She enjoys interacting with the patients and providing them with the best dental care. She loves seeing how our patients have grown with the practice over the years.
She grew up in Mira Mesa and recalls being a patient in this office herself as a child. When her dad retired from the U.S. Navy, her family relocated to the Philippines, where she lived for 12 years. Living in the Philippines, particularly on the island province of Palawan and in San Diego, has given her an appreciation for beaches and warmer climates. She would love to build a tiny home on the beach and watch sunsets and her son surf.

I have always disliked the dentist due to some unpleasant appointments. With that said, the staff at Oasis Dental Arts are awesome and made my unpleasant experience the best experience I have had at a dentist. They do a lot to make you comfortable and the doctor really cares to make you feel supported and a part of the experience. The doctor communicates with you the whole time explaining what he is doing and what he sees. Overall I really have to say that even though I still don't like the dentist I am happy that I am in better hands with this team at Oasis Dental Arts. Thank you for the awesome service and caring approach.

Oasis Dental Arts is a privately owned office instead of the large chain dental franchises. The staff is friendly and welcoming . The dental hygienist is gentle and thorough. Dr. G is a talented dentist and is concerned about the patient's health as well as their comfort. I finally found a neighborhood dentist office that is reliable.

This has always been mine and my families go to dentistry!! Love Doctor G and his warm staff! Never had a problem in anything so far! Always a pleasant experience, the first dental/medical office I have been too who is not driven by money but driven by trying to make ppl happy and spreading smiles! All the other dental offices and private medical practices I have seen are very much profit oriented which almost dupe you and this one is very unlike the typical norm that way! Definitely recommend it, already recommended bunch of my friends who love this place!
