Since 2003, Ive practiced my passion for dentistry and orthodontics in the Bucyrus, Ohio area. Its a profession that allows me to help people of all ages to smile confidently and live a happier and healthier life. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career and why I do what I do every day.
I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. I came to the U.S. and earned my Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the Ohio State University. Then, I pursued further education in Munster, Germany where I earned my Master of Science in Orthodontics.
I continue to stay current on all the advances in the field by taking over 1500 hours of continuing education in the past two years alone. This allows me to offer our patients the best treatment possible so they dont need to go out of their way to find the services they need.
Our entire office feels it is very important to stay active in the community and we do all that we can in that regard. In 2010, we began a charity that provides dental care to Hungarian orphans in the Ukraine.

Welcome! Im Dr. Michelle Nagy, though Im known in the office as simply Dr. Michelle. Im proud to be a dentist and truly enjoy bringing bright and healthy smiles to all my patients. Its a rewarding experience to be able to improve so many peoples lives on a day-to-day basis. Its especially enjoyable for me since I am able to practice my passion alongside my husband, Dr. Attila Nagy.
I grew up in Westerville, Ohio and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors with a Bachelors Degree in Molecular Genetics from the Ohio State University in 2000. I briefly performed skin and breast cancer research in the department of Molecular Virology, Immunology, and Medical Genetics before going on to receive my DDS degree from the OSU College of Dentistry in 2005, graduating cum laude.
Since graduating, I have continued my dental education through numerous CE courses in the areas of preventive care, cosmetics, TMJ/TMD, and endodontics, and I particularly enjoy working with children. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Central Ohio Dental Association.
I am passionate about dental health education, and often visit local elementary schools and the Bucyrus High School health classes in an attempt to teach kids and young adults how to keep their mouths and bodies healthy through good nutrition and dental hygiene.
In my spare time, I enjoy taking care of our hobby farm including gardening and caring for our chickens, ducks, and other various creatures, though I leave the beehives for my husband to tend to! I cherish time spent with my husband and two children and enjoy volunteering at our childrens schools.
I also enjoy learning to play violin, along with my children, although my daughter Adrianna, a member of the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, prides herself on being better at violin than me, while our younger son Dominik is determined to catch up and eventually join the same orchestra!

I have taken both of my kids here for braces and they both had really bad dental anxiety. The staff there showed so much patience and helped the kids to understand what they were doing or about to do before they did it. Now my kids are no longer afraid of the dentist. I will recommend Oakwood dental to anyone who needs braces.

I love this place! The staff is always friendly and full of energy! The treatments are thoroughly done and this office uses top of the line treatment techniques and equipment! There are several dentists in my home town, but this place is worth my 25 mile drive!

I traveled nearly 7 hours from out of state, just so I could see Dr. Nagy, as he's one of the best names for TMJD treatment/diagnosing. Dr Nagy was very thorough with everything that he needed from me prior to our appointment. During the appointment, he explained everything very solid and even got rid of the medical jargon. He then referred me to one of his partners, to help assure me that I would have a positive result. After the appointment, Dr Nagy is still keeping in touch with me to help guide me along this treatment process. He's very genuine and actually cares about his patients. He is helping to speed up the process for the other doctor, and is supporting me in every way that he can.

Love this place! I found Dr.Nagy in a ICR group and am very fortunate to have seen him and get my process going for TJR. It was extremely hard to find an orthodontist who knows what they're doing and now I'm feeling super confident with this process. Dr.Nagy is also very kind, listens and extremely helpful in every matter to ensure this going as smoothly as possible. I would say so much more but this post would be very long!
