Dr. Laura Bucci is a native to California and grew up in the Conejo Valley. She was born and raised right here in Thousand Oaks, where she graduated from La Reina High School in 1996. She attended the University of San Diego where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2000. Dr. Bucci received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2005.
Following dental school, she attended a 2 year General Practice Residency at the VA Sepulveda Hospital where she received advanced training in implants, cosmetics, oral surgery, root canals, periodontics, and removable dentures. She has completed a year-long Cosmetic Mini Residency at the Esthetic Professionals facility located in Sherman Oaks, CA. She now has a thriving practice Oakwood Dental, located in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, CA.
Dr. Bucci specializes in Family, Cosmetic, and Implant Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Bucci enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and long walks with her husband. Having been born and raised in the Conejo Valley, Dr. Bucci feels a strong connection to her community and participates in numerous local fundraisers, auctions, and volunteer activities.

I can't say enough about my wonderful experiences with this Dr. Laura Bucci's dental office. From the amazing Lisa in reception, to the efficient sign in, masks supplied, very personable hygienist Laura's skill and advice and guidance on how best to take care of my teeth is so helpful and she treats me and interacts with me like a friend. Dr. Bucci's professionalism and competency. Even when I was leaving there was someone working there that made it a point to say hello and ask how I was doing? The entire staff is very friendly, kind, efficient and proficient at what they do. I literally ook forward to my cleanings. I recommend them to my friends and family and am excited for those people to get to experience an unparalleled service than I have ever had before in my 40 years of utilizing various dental offices. Hands down the best dental office in Ventura County. Dr. Bucci and her team are incredibly kind and give you a peace of mind when you're sitting in their chair. I have been going to Dr. Bucci for years now and highly recommend her office to everyone. Doctor and staff are all extremely kind, efficient, professional, and are masters in the field. She takes her time to make sure you are not in pain and are feeling comfortable and explains what she is doing as she works on you. Oakwood Dental is a 10/10!

Honestly the best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Bucci and team are so thorough in their exams and have been nothing short of incredible in their skill and demeanor. They are more than happy to indulge your questions and are very up front with the information they provide you. I've never felt pressured for any work needed to be done and any concerns that they have shown were more than valid. I would highly recommend them if you are even on the fence about which dentistry to work with next.

Dr. Laura is very pleasant and seems knowledgeable as you would expect from a doctor. Pleasant staff although there has been some change over in recent years which is a shame as some of the people that left were very kind. I had a broken tooth which was extracted and a few fillings and a temporary crown put in for another tooth. They accidentally left a little bit of tooth or concrete or something in my gum so it felt like I was chewing with a sharp shard for a week before my next appointment which was annoying but not there fault; I guess I should had said something but I'm a guy so ;). Anywho the recommendation was to yank my wisdoms to prevent something or other and they did just that. But now I have a hard time chewing in the corners of my mouth and I have a massive underbite lol so chewing has become a challenge I never thought about before so in hindsight maybe don't get the wisdoms yanked unless u truly need to. Also once the wisdoms were gone some of the teeth next to it moved a little leaving annoying wider gaps for stuff to get stuck inbetween so the gums get enflamed by food irritation since bigger chunks are now allowed to get stuck in these gaps than before. None of this was the doctors fault however I am sure she is aware of these possible changes and maybe should have explained that these things could happen instead of lets just get these wisdoms out before the world ends or something. Nevertheless I would go back some year but I'm not a glutton for suffering cuz dental offices are obviously the modern day torture chamber.

I've been a patient for several years and can share that Dr. Bucci and her staff are professional and polite. I've moved a couple years ago and still make a much longer drive to continue with the same office.

Dr. Bucci came highly recommended and for good reason! She is amazing. She has great chair side manners, knows her stuff and gets it done. Dr. Bucci found issues that were not found by previous dentist and fixed, re did previous bad work. Dr. Bucci is gentle and thorough. If you have a fear of dental work-she is the go to. If you have a lot of work to be done, she's the go to. From the time you make the appointment with Lisa, until the minute you leave, you are treated with respect and kindness. The entire staff there are kind, courteous and knowledgeable.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bucci since 2011 and she has been the best dentist I've ever had. She is a caring, perfectionist in a good way and wants to make sure that you are satisfied about the result. I recall an event that she returned twice my crown because she didn't like the way it was looking and fitting. She always makes sure that all her work is done perfectly and correctly. This is what you call someone who loves their job and cares about their patients. I really love the office staff too. They are amazing and Lisa at the front desk always makes you feel welcome and when ever it's time for reviewing your cost, she explains all the options to you in detail. I recommended her to my husband and he has been a patient too since 2012. I would really recommend her because she is outstanding at her job.
