Dr. Benjamin Hardyk takes pride in providing the highest quality orthodontic treatment to the entire family. His treatment plans are individualized to meet the different needs of each and every patient.
Prior to that, Dr. Hardyk attended the internationally renouned UCSF School of Dentistry in San Francisco for his doctoral degree in dentistry. At both schools, Dr. Hardyk worked extensively with the Cleft and Craniofacial Treatment Teams. He has worked on a number of research projects, including an extensive study examining the effects of the orthodontic expander appliance using 3-dimensional cone beam CT scans.
Prior to beginning his work in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Hardyk worked as a professional classical musician, performing with a variety of orchestras, opera companies, and chamber music groups in North America and Europe.
Dr. Hardyk is a strong advocate for providing support for those in need in the community. During his dental studies at UCSF, Dr. Hardyk worked extensively with the UCSF homeless dental clinic as both a treating provider and administrator. He also assisted with the UCSF Hepatitis B Initiative, that focuses on diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of the Hepatitis B virus by providing free testing and vaccines. Dr. Hardyk continues his support for the local community by providing free athletic mouth guards to all athletes at local schools in the Oakley, Antioch, Brentwood, and Rio Vista areas.
In his spare time, Dr. Hardyk enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, SCUBA diving, and golf. He often can be found on the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe in the winter, or at local concerts and art festivals year round.
We offer a variety of treatment options, including traditional metal braces, clear and transparent braces for improved appearance during treatment, and light and gentle force technology self-ligating braces. For patients concerned about the appearance of braces, we offer Invisalign orthodontic treatment, which is a set of clear retainers to move teeth without using wires and brackets. Invisalign also makes it easy to care for your teeth during treatment since the retainer can be removed while eating, brushing and flossing.

Fantastic staff , Dr.Hardyk , made the journey of my treatment to straighten my teeth realistic , with realistic results, and faster then projected ,...I am now in my retainer stage , and still feel prioritized and welcomed as the first day I walked in , a great office , staff, and very professional, I by far would recommend anyone to seek treatment with Dr.Hardyk ,...as a person who was deathly afraid of the dentist /orthodontist, ....oakley orthodontics , is top notch

My experience in Oakley Orthodontics was more than happy. I would give Oakley Orthodontics 10 STARS + if I could. It's because Dr. Ben successfully have closed teeth gaps that 2 different orthodontists had failed after 5 years trying. I am thinking like Dr. Ben is on another level. With knowledgeable, precise, skillful procedures, he exactly knows where, how to move teeth and close gaps. the Staff is easy to communicate and friendly, too.

Dr. Hardyk and his team are very welcoming, knowledgeable and courteous. My son has been a patient with Oakley Orthodontics from the age of 8 through 10, and his personalized treatment has made a huge difference in giving him a perfect smile. My son has never complained and always received quality treatment. I recommend Oakley Orthodontics!

Oakley Orthodontics has a super friendly staff and has great steps towards keeping the office clean and as well as keeping patients and staff safe from the CoronaVirus. Of course, this is most important of all given the severity of the situation right now. Staff makes themselves readily available for patients at all times and incredibly understanding. The atmosphere of the clinic is cozy and homey, with decorations for the seasons all around. There are also TVs in the lobby and above the patient chairs to provide comfort and a distraction for those who may have dental fears. All while still maintaining the important aspects of professionalism within the office. I highly recommend this place to all in search of an ortho! Dr. Hardyck is amazing and I, as a former patient, see amazing results in my smile after going through braces here!

I have been going to this place since October of 2020 and my teeth have never felt so much better!!They are so gentle with your mouth, they always have someone in the office so if someone breaks a bracket or a loose wire they will take care of u in minutes.
