Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. Patients beware! They extort your insurance for x-rays and exams every 6 months. The national recommendation for X-rays is 2-3 years depending on your situation. I was previously with a dentist for 6 years and although the experience was not perfect, I was happy to get a cleaning every 3 months as I requested and with the work they did. They placed a crown in my mouth and it was well done and I was happy. Upon moving to Ft Lauderdale I decided to try a new office 5 minutes from home instead of 40 minutes. They cleaned my tooth so painfully that they loosened by crown. They were unable to get the crown fully out while a the appointment so instead sent me home to have it fall out. I then had to wait uncomfortably for two weeks to force it to fall out. I asked them if they would pay for my crown to be put back in and they said yes multiple times. Once I went back in and had the crown replaced, they did a horrible job placing it and it was extremely uncomfortable. I could not wait another hour for them to fix it so I had to leave in my discomfort. Then at checkout, they advised me I had to pay for the crown to be refitted. Seems like excellent customer service. I was called to confirm a new x-ray and exam this week to which I asked why I must continue every time I go in to get a new X-ray. No response, no reason. And they tried to force their own medical insurance on me. No questions answered, only a lot of "I'm sorry to hear that". I asked them if I could get a cleaning every three months and they essentially turned me down. I am the patient, if I want a cleaning every 3 months as I have had with my last dentist, I should be allowed to receive one. Will be looking for a new dentist.

Dr. G is sweet, kind, and knowledgeable! She always takes the time to learn about what's going on with me, and walks me through the dental journey in a way that's easy for me to understand. She is realistic about needs vs nice to have vs let's pay attention to it and see how it progresses. If you've had a recent dental experience with a pushy sales-dentist, this is NOT the experience with Dr. G. Very refreshing! And will keep me loyal! Mckenzie is a delight! What a warm, welcoming, caring human being with an amazing personality!

Not happy that I had to wait hours for my prescription after my wisdom tooth removal. They said many times they put it in the system and then after calling a million times it was finally there. In pain for hours.

My experience with Oakland Park Dentistry was AMAZING!! My first visit was Scaling and Deep Cleaning-I WAS Scared!! ***Leani the Hygenist was very very very patient and gentle! She took her time to make sure I was good! ***Dr Lozada is THE BEST DENTIST in the whole world !!!! Thank you Dr Lozada! She is nurturing, patient, kind and effective!! ***Angie The Dental Assistant is very kind! Patient and awesome personality! **I cannot leave out McKenzie Benefit Coordinator- who is very thorough in explaining the whole process-she displayed what a GOOD Dental office experience must be. I ran into Sonani who walked me gently through the financial process-I was very satisfied! Just overall everyone at Oakland Park Modern Dentistry is GREAT!! COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!

I called to set appointment, and they sent me a package to pre-register. How convenient i thought. Yet I was still want hour and a half to be seen. Dentist was very condescending to me. Refused to prescribe pain medication, because I wanted to home and speak with my wife instead of starting her program on the spot. if you are experiencing pain. AVOID THIS PLACE. They care about the money , not the Patient

I was there on August 25 2022. It was a great experience. I had my appointment in the morning and the front desk girl was very pleasant, in fact all the girls there were very nice. That was my first time and I had Dr Cortes to attend me. Definitely it is a place to go . They will make sure you are comfortable and well served. Thanks for all your hard work.

I had an amazing experience at Oakland Park Modern Dentistry today - Dr Jaffe is excellent at what she does, and happily explained the procedure that she would perform on me. Her team made me feel extremely comfortable and they were wonderful throughout the time I spent in the chair. Thank you for everything and I'll be back (hopefully not too soon )

Super professional team at this office with very nice, updated equipment. I was extremely happy with my x-rays, cleaning and fillings. All the staff are so friendly and their office is kept very clean. I can't recommend this dentists office enough. Thanks for everything and I'll be back!
