Dr. Kimberly Butler is a Board Certified General Dentist. She worked as a dental assistant for 6 years in Marin country before beginning her journey to becoming a dentist. She attended the University of California, Berkeley where she completed her undergraduate in molecular environmental biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree after being accepted to the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. It was at UoP Dugoni that she met Dr. Hamid and began practicing at Oakland Eco Dental shortly after graduating. Dr. Butlers focus is preventative dentistry, and she volunteers at the Berkeley free clinic, Project Homeless Connect among other various Bay Area charitable public healthcare organizations. Kim is married, lives in Oakland, California, and wishes she could own a dog.

When it comes to going to the dentist, I usually get super nervous and dread the appointment. But after yesterday's visit, I can confidently say that I no longer feel that way! It was my first time coming to Oakland Eco Dental. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and most importantly safe. After my cleaning, I let Dr. Nguyen (I hope I got her name correct!) know that I really loved the vibe of this office. And it's obvious that everyone gets along well. I'm happy to say I have found my dentist office! I'll see y'all soon! <3

I love this office! Everyone is so kind and friendly. I love the art and watching cool nature shows when I'm getting my teeth worked on. So grateful Dr Butler is my dentist and huge shout out to all the staff there.

Highly recommend! Totally professional. I'm sure I received the best cleaning I've ever had! I also totally trust Dr. butler, her approach is 100% professional and does not upsell you on stuff you don't need.

Great Place! I had called as a new client and they were able to get me in the same day due to a cancellation. Dr and nurses very much care for health of my teeth compared to any other place I've previously gone to. Wish I've come here all my life!!!

This was my first time at Oakland Eco Dental and my experience was amazing! Everyone took great care of me and they were all truly genuine and open with me. Dr. Butler took her time to go through my XRays with me to ensure I understood all of her suggestions. They provided great resources as well. Nothing felt like they were "trying to get money," it all felt like they really just wanted to ensure I was taken care of. Brandy was my hygienist and she was absolutely great, letting me know each time what she was about to do. She even taught me the proper way to floss for when I go back home! Communication was done through text before the visit so I was able to fill out all forms before actually arriving so I didn't have to wait. All employees wore masks and my hygienist double masked which made me feel very comfortable. My next visit is already set! I will be going back!

Dr. Butler is the absolute best. I had a pretty traumatic experience with a male dentist years ago and so appreciate her trauma-informed approach, walking me through every step of the way with a sunny and energetic style. The only discomfort I felt while getting two wisdom teeth filled at 8am was my hands falling asleep. I hope to see her for years to come!

I haven't been to the dentist in 4 years due to not having insurance. While I wasn't scared of the dentist, finding a new provider can be really daunting. The team at Eco Dental got me enrolled so quickly! It took less than a week between reaching out and having my first appointment. I love that they have screens to watch while you're getting a cleaning and x-rays, and their modern x-ray technology was so quick and painless. My hygienist was awesome, explaining everything she was documenting and doing to clean my teeth, and frequently checking in with me to make sure I was okay. Dr. Butler was great, and overall I had a really positive experience, with staff welcoming me and recommending steps to keep my teeth healthy. It almost makes me sad that I only need to go twice a year!

The people who work at Eco Dental are warm, competent & friendly. The dental hygienist is very thorough. You're in good hands with Dr Butler & Dr Chen. It's such a pleasant experience. The big tv screens above you help - they keep you amused.
