Dr. Saeid Malboubi is a Periodontist, Implant and Oral Plastic Surgeon, graduated from Boston University. He holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS), Master of Science (MS) in Oral Biology and Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies (SAGS) in Periodontics and Implant Surgery. He also has been involved in teaching Periodontics and Oral Biology as a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Periodontics. He also is a Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology (ABP).
Dr. Malboubi has been practicing dentistry since 1996, he has always been dedicated to performing the highest quality standard of care dentistry during his over 20 years of practicing. He gets the benefits of both conventional and the state of the art Piezo Electric Surgery and Laser technology to enhance the outcome of his surgeries. He is a nationwide and worldwide speaker.
Dr. Malboubi lives in Moraga with his family and is a dedicated member of the Moraga Education Fund (MEF), believing children are the future leaders. He enjoys most sports and holds some international ranking in table tennis.
The team at Oakland Dental Implant Center believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

Best Dental practice in the area for Implants. I had a complicated case which 3 other dentist offices had given up on and recommended a Dental Bridge instead. Luckily I took and appointment with Dr. Malboubi and he assured me that it can be done & implant is indeed the better long term option. He is an expert in his craft from my experience & you just feel cared for and assured that you are getting the best care from Day 1. You don't feel rushed into treatment, you can discuss the treatment plan & assess how to approach it giving you the space to think as well. The Staff is helpful, Shea was helpful along the process and so was Doctor's assistant. Highly recommend !

I was recommended Dr. Malboubi by my father who has benefited greatly from his work. Thanks to him, my dad's teeth and gums are in way better shape than they otherwise would be. He was able to save teeth that other Periodontists thought needed to be removed. My issue was that I had a crown come loose and fall out. Before sitting in Dr. Malboubi's chair, I talked to four other dentists. The first two thought the tooth was too short to be re-crowned, and suggested I get an implant. The other two heard me mention crown lengthening and thought it might be a good idea. I called Dr. Malboubi's office and spoke with Nikki, who compassionately asked some questions about my problem, gave some reassurance, and invited me to have a consultation with Dr. Malboubi the next day or so. When I got there, Shay welcomed me in and got me all set up. She made me feel at home and answered all of my nervous questions with grace. I gave her my recent x-rays and she uploaded them to the system. The initial consultation went great. Dr. Malboubi came across as competent, thorough, and helpful. He assured me that, with a little crown lengthening, he was confident he'd be able to re-crown the tooth no problem. This was great news and I eagerly scheduled an appointment. I was nervous on the day of the crown lengthening, but everyone--Nikki, Shay, Maria, and Dr. Malboubi--all saw to it that my questions were answered and anxieties addressed. Maria, who was Dr. Malboubi's dental assistant for the procedure, practically held my hand the entire time. She was gracious and motherly, which helped me relax and feel comfortable. The procedure went smoothly. Directly afterwards, Dr. Malboubi and Maria built the tooth up a bit, took an impression for the permanent crown, and put on a temporary. A couple weeks later I went back for the permanent crown, which fit perfectly. Fast-forward to today, It's been about a month now and I couldn't be happier/more relieved. All-in-all I am extremely pleased with my entire experience. Nikki and Shay are exactly the kind of people you hope are there to greet you at the door: personable, understanding, kind, and helpful; and Maria and Dr. Malboubi are not only highly competent and skilled, but they're also compassionate and gentle which made a world of difference for me. Together, they all made my best-case scenario come true. I usually dread going to the dentist, but this office is an exception. That's a first for me, for which I'm deeply grateful for.

The charlatan dentist office. Inappropriate behavior and charges under the table. Disappointing. I asked for a proper dental plan with procedure codes and associated fees, instead received a piece of paper with a handwritten amount of $950 on it. I'm not going to tell the whole story here, but my advice is TO AVOID THIS PLACE

Doctor Malboubi is one of the best dental surgeons (periodontist) I have ever been a patient before. I had 2 failed implants that needed an immediate attention and was recommended to contact to Dr. Malboubi for the consultation. He evaluated my condition and immediately told me what kind of procedure I had to have in order to prevent a future damage of my teeth as well as my overall health. I am generally very careful person when it comes to choosing a health professional. From my first visit I could immediately see that Dr. Malboubi was the right choice for me. He was very professional, experienced and kind doctor. He explained my situation with the 3D samples and drawings and I agreed to start the procedure. Not only he professionally and safely removed my implants, he also had a nice bone graft for the affordable price. I highly recommend Dr. Malboubi to anyone who is seeking any dental surgery, implant work etc. He knows his job very well and work with his patients every step of the way. In addition, his staff is very welcoming & friendly. They truly care about every patient they have and treat everyone with respect and dignity.
