I had a very unusual tooth problem. I had a lot of pain in my upper and lower jaw which was confusing to me because I couldn't tell what was causing the problem. I went to see my dentist and she did some testing and isolated one tooth in particular which was very painful. She referred me to Oakland Alameda Endodontics. I saw Dr. Jason Calvert in Alameda. I was very nervous at first because I've had a lot of dental procedures, some of them quite painful. Sonia, Dr. Calvert's dental assistant did X-rays and prepared me for the doctor. Everyone in the office was really nice and I felt comfortable. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Calvert. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was going to do and what it would feel like. He first tested the teeth on the upper left side of my mouth. He told me if he didn't have a clear indication of what the problem was he would not do the procedure. After much testing and a 3D X-ray he narrowed the problem down to1 tooth. He was pretty sure that a root canal would take care of the problem and the pain I was experiencing. After being numbed for the procedure, which Dr. Calvert explained completely, he began the work. I basically felt nothing, other than a little discomfort from having my mouth open for about 45min. When Dr. Calvert was done with the procedure he told me what to expect when I went home. I had some pain that evening, but I was able to take some Tylenol and use a warm compress. I had no trouble sleeping that evening and the next day I did not need any pain medication and no compress. It's been 3 days now and my tooth feels great. I also have to thank Sonia, Dr. Calvert's dental assistant for being very supportive and reassuring during the procedure. This was the best outcome for a root canal that I have ever experienced.

The service is great. The receptionist were nice and very knowledgeable. I went to get a root canal. Both Dr. Monzavi and Sonia were awesome!

Went in nervous but it went away quickly as they comforted me throughout and made sure I was doing okay. A root canal gets a bad rep it was quick and painless. Great good Babak Monzari and his assistant that helps him thank you for everything .I would could come back but hopefully I don't . The price is decent over a thousand but the price took my pain away.

I have been dealing with a tooth issue for a spell. I went to see Dr. Nabipour and he has made the issue so much better. His assistant, Sonia, is the best. She is right there when he needs an instrument, and there are always a lot of instruments. He has a good sense of humor, is professional, talented, and very good at what he does. I also like the fact that he will personally take phone calls to discuss an issue.

Dr Calvert took care of an incredibly painful tooth for me via root canal. I have had some super bad experiences at the dentist (I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and metabolize local anesthetics like it's air) but Dr Calvert was kind, took time to make sure I was completely comfortable for the whole procedure, and explained things incredibly well when I had any questions. When I need another root canal (and I'm sure it's 'when' not 'if') they'll be my first call. Also of note: my tooth originally took a turn for the worst at noon on a Friday. The staff worked some magic to squeeze me in for a consult before the weekend and I'm incredibly grateful.

Our son chipped his tooth and he needed a root canal. Dr. Nabipour and Sonia did a great job with his tooth. Much appreciated!

I had gone to Dr. Nabipour twice for a root canal; one during my pregnancy and another one for an emergency because of pain on my upper right molar. I have to admit, both times --- literally 10 years apart from each other, were very good experiences. Dr. Nabipour came in earlier than his shift to take me in so I won't experience pain. That level of care and compassion in this industry doesn't always exist. I appreciate what Dr. Nabipour and his helpful assistant, Gilma, had done for me today and even in the past. I will always support a professional and compassionate dentist. Thank you and your team Dr. Nabipour.

One of my best experience with dentists! Everyone here was very friendly and professionally. Dr. Calvert managed my expectations very well. He told me what I would expect in every steps. Sydney is great in helping with my root canal procedure. She attended to every details. Highly recommend!

I recently needed an emergency root canal and was incredibly impressed by Dr. Nabipour and his team. He was able to see me at the last minute and then adjusted his schedule so that he could provide me treatment that very day so I would no longer be in pain. I have a lot of dental anxiety and Dr. Nabipour also spent extra time with me to ensure that I would be calm and comfortable during the procedure. I haven't felt any pain since and am very grateful to Dr. Nabipour and his excellent team!

Today was my second root canal procedure with Dr. Nabipour, some 10+ years after the first one. I am happy to report that he is still highly skilled at his craft, and his office assistants are both personable and professional. This is not your father's root canal experience. Highly recommended.

I was sent to Oakland Alameda Endodontics by my dentist for an evaluation on a painful tooth. Not only did they see me within minutes, but after the evaluation, Dr. Calvert offered to take care of my root canal right then and there. (I'm pretty sure he skipped his lunch to take care of me!) He and his assistant, Ana, were an amazing team. They were kind, patient, informative, and skilled. From the moment I walked in and met Christina at the front desk, and walked out after a successful procedure, I knew I was in good hands. Many thanks for the TLC!

I had a great experience at Oakland-Alameda Endodontics. And we're talking root canal work! Dr. Calvert and all the staff were so professional and thoughtful. Every step of the procedure was carefully explained as we went. Questions were answered. They checked frequently about any concerns and took every measure to insure my comfort. And frankly, it was one of the most painless dental visits I've ever had. Actually enjoyable! I highly recommend them without any hesitation.

Dr Calvert is a very good Doctor. Very friendly, helpful, polite, and thorough. His staff was also very nice. I definitely will come back if I ever need a root canal again and highly recommend him.

Dr. Nabipour is the BEST. I had no pain whatsoever during my root canal procedure. Everything was explained in advance, the assisting staff were great and this was my second root canal procedure with him.

I was recommended by my dentist to see Jason Calvert because of a possible root canal. My experience here has been one of the most professional group of workers and clear instructions from staff members from start of procedure to the end. Most importantly is that I felt no pain at all during my root canal procedure. I highly recommend this doctor.
