Dr. Bunczak was raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. She attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies in biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota: School of Dentistry in 1992, did a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Hospital for one year and then completed her Master of Science degree and Residency in endodontics in 1995 at the University of Minnesota, as well.She has previously taught at the University of Minnesota: School of Dentistry in the Department of Endodontics as an assistant clinical professor. Dr. Bunczak is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and St Paul District Dental Society. She lives in West Lakeland with her four children and two Siberian cats. Her hobbies include downhill skiing, reading, and lifting weights.

Dr. Kuhn was born and raised in a small logging community outside of Aberdeen, Washington. She attended Gonzaga University for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, for her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During that time, she competed in the 2015 Miss America Scholarship Pageant, where she placed fourth runner-up. For her residency, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. In March 2019, Dr. Kuhn participated in a dental mission trip in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, through the Christian Dental Society.

She teaches root canal procedures in the predoctoral clinics of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Kuhn is a member of the St. Paul District Dental Society, Minnesota Dental Association, American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontists.Dr. Kuhn lives in St. Paul with her fiance, a 3M research scientist. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, golfing, downhill skiing, bike riding, and cooking.

Endodontics is the area of dentistry focused on the study and treatment of the dental pulp. The pulp is the innermost layer of the tooth and includes the tooths living connective tissue and cells. It also houses the tooth nerves and blood vessels. If this area of the tooth becomes injured or diseased, it often results in serious tooth pain and sensitivity. When infection and damage in the dental pulp go untreated, they can cause the tooth to die, necessitating extraction. The goal of endodontic treatment is to restore the health of the tooth and prevent the need for tooth extraction.

The most common type of endodontic treatment is root canal therapy, which is often simply called a root canal. During root canal therapy, our dentist and team remove the injured and infected tissues from the tooth, thoroughly clean the tooth, and fill the tooth. The tooth is then capped with a restoration, such as a dental crown, to protect the tooth and restore its structure and appearance.

If root canal therapy is not the right treatment for you or infection recurs after the tooth has undergone a root canal, our dentist may recommend further endodontic treatment. Other endodontic treatment options include root canal retreatment, apicoectomy, pulpal debridement and pulpotomy.

Dr. Russomanno has lived in Minnesota for the majority of his life. He grew up in Bloomington and Eagan and now lives in Rosemount with his two teenage children, Michael and Amanda. In 1993, Dr. Russomanno graduated Cum Laude from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, earning his bachelors degree in natural sciences. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated with honors, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. He has been practicing dentistry in the Oakdale, Minnesota, area for over a decade.

Since graduating school, Dr. Russomanno has dedicated himself to his continuing education. He takes continuing education courses two times a month. He is a lifelong student of dentistry and believes we never stop improving our skills or expanding our knowledge. Currently, Dr. Russomanno is a member of the following professional organizations:

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Russomanno finds his greatest enjoyment is being a father and spending time with his children. Michael and Amanda are undoubtedly his highest priority in life. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Russomanno playing basketball, collecting baseball and football cards, on the golf course, or taking care of his aquarium and fish pond. He also has special interests in archeology, great white sharks, history, and politics.

Dr. Neil Keane earned his bachelors degree from St. Johns University in 2002. He then attended dental school at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Keane is committed to continuing his education, so he takes courses twice a month. Our dentists goal is to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a comfortable environment. He strives to help patients meet their oral health needs and feel confident with their smiles.

Dr. Keane and his wife Sara have three young children: JP, Ella, and Everrett. When not in the office, Dr. Keane enjoys skiing, listening to music, spending time with his kids, and fixing up his house.

Carl Rindelaub, DDS Dr. Rindelaub received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota after completing his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Colorado. In 1999, Dr. Rindelaub started working as a dentist in the United States Air Force. In 2004, he retired from the military and has since worked at Rindelaub Family Dental.

As a dentist, Dr. Rindelaub strives to provide all of his patients with high-quality, comprehensive care. To do this, he is always continuing his education to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and treatment techniques. Through his continuing education, he as received advanced training in laser dentistry. He is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Charles Bruchu, DDS Dr. Charles Bruchu grew up in Lake Elmo and is very familiar with the Oakdale community and east metro area. Dr. Bruchu graduated from the University of St. Thomas magna cum laude in 2012. He then continued his dental education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 2017 earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Upon completing his dental education, Dr. Bruchu practiced dentistry for five years in San Diego, California, as a member of the United States Navy. He served as a dentist for military members and their families, both at home and aboard a US aircraft carrier in the South China Sea. During his time in San Diego, Dr. Bruchu received advanced training in many areas of dentistry, completing continuing education courses in fields such as endodontics, periodontics, operative and restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and oral pathology. His passions are cosmetic and digital dentistry, and he is excited to provide the latest and greatest evidence-based dentistry using our state-of-the-art dental equipment.

After completing his military service, Dr. Bruchu returned home to the Lake Elmo and Oakdale area, where he is happy to be providing long-term quality dental care to his patients and the local community.

Sharon Office Manager Sharon has been in the dental field for over 30 years, first as a dental assistant and now in the business end. Sharon treats each patient as an individual with unique needs and is able to help them achieve dental health. Sharon enjoys being a part of Oakdale Family Dentistry because of how well our team works together. Sharon is married with three adult children, one grandson and two granddaughters. She loves to travel to warm places in the winter.

Carol Front Desk & Endodontic Scheduling Carol joined Oakdale Family Dentistry in the fall of 2018. I am delighted to be a part of a team that takes pride in helping people achieve their best smiles. Carol enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Crysta Registered Dental Hygienist Crysta has worked for Dr. Rindelaub since March 2017 and joined Oakdale Family Dentistry in July of 2018. She graduated from Lake Superior College in 2016 with a degree in dental hygiene. As a hygienist, Crysta contributes greatly to our practice. She has a positive and caring attitude towards patients, and her favorite part of her job is educating patients on how they can have better at-home oral care. In her free time, Crysta enjoys coloring, crafting and spending time with her two cats.

Krystal Registered Dental Hygienist Krystal has been in the dental industry for over ten years. She graduated from Century College with a degree in dental assisting in 2010 and earned her dental hygiene degree in 2019. She has a warm and compassionate approach to patient care and can help even the most nervous patient have a positive dental experience.

In her free time Krystal enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, and her family and friends. The winter months are not very eventful for her, but spring, summer and fall are filled with camping trips, kayaking, and tennis. She also enjoys agility training her cattle dog Pepper and bike training her husky, Koda.

Kelsey went to school at Argosy University and has been a hygienist since 2012. Kelsey loves being a hygienist! Her favorite thing about her career is educating patients on their oral health and helping them find tools and products that will work best for their specific dental needs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, cooking and bowling.

Kerri graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but her favorite is clinical hygiene because she can help her patients reach their treatment goals and build lasting relationships.

Kerri lives in Lake Elmo with her husband, Jeff, and puppy, Frankie. She has two adult children, Tanner and Korbyn, and one grandson, Auggie. In her spare time, she likes to travel, try new wineries, and spend time with her family.

Kelsey Dental Assistant Kelsey joined Oakdale Family Dentistry in 2015, and she is dedicated to helping our patients have a comfortable, positive experience at our office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and going to her cabin.

Tristy Licensed Dental Assistant Tristy graduated as a licensed dental assistant from Century College in 1994. Her mission is to provide comprehensive dental services to all her patients in an environment that is reassuringly pleasant and comfortable. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters! In the spring, summer and fall, she loves the outdoors and enjoys running outside with her dog. In the winter, she likes to bowl in leagues and cuddle up inside to a good action movie. She also has a passion for muscle cars and loves going to car shows!

Paula Licensed Dental Assistant Paula has worked with Dr. Bunczak as an endodontic assistant for over 25 years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with family and friends. She loves to cook, sew and do other crafty things.

Sam Business Manager Sam is the Business Manager at Amber Leaf. He attended the University of Minnesota and left college early for a career in professional basketball where he played for the L.A. Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He also played basketball for several years in Europe while living in Greece, Italy, and France. In 2007, Sam retired from basketball and returned to Carlson School of Management to complete his finance degree through the University of Minnesota. He enjoys being part of the Amber Leaf Family Dental team because of how well the team supports each other and cares about their patients. When Sam is not working, he is either spending time with his wife and three children, or meditating by completing improvement projects around the home.

I am very excited to announce that I have found a home for my practice! I will be moving a few minutes away to Oakdale Family Dentistry, a state-of-the-art dental practice just north on 494 in Oakdale. This transition will allow me to continue to treat you with the exceptional care you deserve. I was very impressed by the warm, friendly atmosphere the office exudes and the exceptional customer service it provides. Oakdale Family Dentistry is equipped with up-to-date technology, including digital X-rays and intraoral scanning. This partnership will allow me to provide more services under one roof, such as implants, root canals, Invisalign aligners and laser dentistry.
