I truly love what I do for a living because I find orthodontics to be personally and professionally rewarding. I enjoy every moment of the process of helping patients of all ages achieve beautiful and healthy smiles. I believe that every patient has unique needs and goals, and I strive to develop treatment plans that are customize to each patient with these elements in mind. Serving the community at Oakbrook Orthodontics, I work to deliver the best possible care to all of my patients. My treatment philosophy is centered around creating beautiful smiles that improve overall health and well-being.
My father is a general dentist. Growing up, I knew I wanted to follow his footsteps. I was accepted into a seven year accelerated dental program at Wagner College, which is affiliated with New York University on Staten Island. It was an intense program, and I learned so much through it. After completing my third year at Wagner, I chose to return home and earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago.
After graduating, I went to St. Barnabas Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia Presbyterian and Weill Medical College of Cornell University, for my post-doctorate dental education. While serving my general practice residency there, I was awarded Resident of the Year and Most Productive Resident. After graduation from St. Barnabas, I stayed on as the only Chief Resident. I was also responsible for assisting in the education and development of our first-year residents.
I then continued my education with an additional three-year orthodontic residency. I kept very busy during this time by helping to teach orthodontics to pediatric residents as well as completing a complex research project. This project investigated how laser therapy can help reduce pain after orthodontic procedures. I also received the prestigious Herzberg Award, which is given to the resident demonstrating the highest degree of clinical proficiency. After completing my residency, I worked at the hospital as a teacher to other residents. During this time, I became a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics a distinction that only 25% of Orthodontists have.

Amazing job 10 times recommend. There are no words to describe how happy and thrilled I am with the results by the treatment of Dr.Neal and his staff, the way they treated me when I was there was incredible they engage and answer any questions i had, everyone is very nice and very helpful. I called and went in to see what his approach would be with braces in terms of pay and treatment and we started months after that. What impressed me the most was how fast the treatment took because they had told me that it would take about 3/4 years but with commitment, care and doing precisely everything they told me to do it took me 2 years to have my teeth straight, i recommend to wash, floss your teeth, do what they tell you to do like putting elastics on it's not just the braces that do the work but also yourself, again with time and commitment you will see the improvement.

Come to oakbrook orthodontics for all your Invisalign needs!!! I came to them with a bad previous experience with braces. But doctor Neal & his team went into detail about the whole process and how long the end result would take. Everything was super clear & easy to understand. Dr Neal also goes above & beyond to make sure the end result is perfect. On multiple occasions him & his team went the extra mile to make sure my smile was exactly as planned. The whole staff is friendly, gentle, patient, & very informative. The location is also super clean !! I could not recommend this location more!!

Since, I was a young girl my teeth were always misaligned. I learned to live with the daily adjustments like chewing a certain way or forcing my teeth to look better when posing for a photo. As I grew older the condition of my teeth began to have a negative effect on the confidence of my appearance. I didn't think at my age there was much I could do to improve the integrity of my teeth. My oldest son was referred to Dr. Neal by our family dentist Dr. Wells. I trusted Dr. Wells for many years, as he improved the health of my teeth to the best of his ability. As he recommended us to Dr. Neal, I immediately knew we were in great hands. When arriving at Oakbrook Orthodontics I immediately noticed, how they offer the latest orthodontic technology to facilitate in your treatment plan. During our consultation I began to look at all the beautiful photographs displayed in the office. I grew inspired & I was ready to start my orthodontic journey along with my son. I am in my mid thirties and this wasn't an easy decision to have traditional braces at my age. However, Dr. Neal's compassionate approach & dedication to my individual case helped me to realize this was absolutely the right choice for me. Dr. Neal explains what you should expect each step of the way & most importantly he genuinely listens to your concerns. Also, when I scheduled my follow up appointments the staff worked tirelessly to accommodate my busy schedule. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable with providing patient education to assist with any discomfort you may be experiencing at the time. My entire experience was a pleasant transformation. I soon began to visualize a dramatic change, my teeth were aligning perfectly and the appearance of my profile, face, & smile were never more beautiful. I am truly forever grateful for Dr. Neal and his Dream Team for my new beginning. I will celebrate my smile everyday for the rest of my life. I have had braces twice in my life and both times my teeth moved after I was finished with treatment. My teeth were crooked on the bottom in particular. I went through my current dentist at the time to try Invisalign and had a pretty terrible experience early on in the process so I decided to look for a good orthodontist and started doing research online. That's how I found Dr. Neal LaRoia and his practice. I am so glad that I did! Upon my first visit Dr. LaRoia sat down with me and went over everything with me. He devised a plan to help me get the results I wanted. I felt very comfortable after that first visit and never looked back. Dr. LaRoia is a very knowledgeable orthodontist and the results I have seen after finishing up my Invisalign treatment are proof of that! He works with his patients as a team to get them the best possible results. His team is also wonderful, they are very knowledgeable and kind. They work as a cohesive team and it shows with how well the office runs. From the ease of making or rescheduling an appointment to the positive experience of the appointment itself, it all runs very smoothly. You can tell they truly care about their patients and take pride in what they do. I cannot recommend Dr. LaRoia and his team enough!!

Dr. Neal and his team are the best. The atmosphere is very warm,friendly, and welcoming. When I first walked into the office I was nervous. After my consultation Dr Neal gave me encouraging words and I started my process. I absolutely love Sarah. She always made sure that she handled my teeth with care because they were so sensitive. We had the best conversation with each visit when she was present. I build a bond with her. The other ladies are extremely nice and I thank them for their great work. My journey was a little over 2 years. I had my DB on 1/10/2022. I am overly excited and very happy with the outcome. I encourage anyone who are thinking about correcting their teeth; Oakbrook Orthodontist in Oakbrook IL. Is the place to go. They will definitely take care of you. We had the best experience with Dr. Neal and his team. You can tell from the first visit that they have high standards and maintain a very positive and family like atmosphere. Every staff member we worked with was always very kind and very clear with what they were going to do before they did anything. That certainly put both my son and myself at ease as this was our first experience with orthodontia work. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Dr. Neal and his staff are incredible professionals who provided me with an efficient and effective invisalign treatment. I am originally from Naperville and relocated to San Francisco - Dr. Neal and his team worked with me with scheduling flexibility and over the phone guidance as I piggybacked appointments when visiting family. Dr. Neal and his team did an outstanding job from beginning to end with my orthodontic treatment.
