I am Dr. Rafik Riad, born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. I made the decision to be a dentist when I was 14 years old. I earned my first Doctorate from the prestigious Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2005 when I was 22. After graduating with honors, I practiced the art of dentistry in my hometown for several years and developed a strong passion for the art of dentistry.
In 2010, I moved to the USA and decided to continue to pursue my dream and my passion for dentistry. I graduated from Loma Linda University in 2014. I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge since then, and my passion for dentistry and the art of changing people's lives by simply making them smile continues to grow.
As an eager learner and a firm believer in never-ending professional and personal development, in 2008, I became a co-founder of a continuous education institute for dentists, aiming to bring global knowledge and cutting-edge technology in dentistry to doctors in Egypt and Europe.
Hello, I am Dr. Hiba Zaku. I was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. I immigrated to the US in 2007 and ever since then San Diego has been my home. I attended University of California, San Diego for my degree in Biochemistry and during that time I discovered my passion and love for dentistry. I went on to obtain my DMD degree from Roseman University. My career since the start has been nothing short of amazing. I love being a dentist because I can form long lasting relationships with my patients and I am able to provide patient centered care. I am able to treat people as a whole improving quality of the oral health and quality of life; in addition to providing comfort and care tailored to each patients needs. Hello, I am Dr. Rakan Alzwaideh. I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry with a DDS degree in 2016. I then completed a one-year hospital residency at Lutheran Hospital in New York, during which my passion for endodontics was solidified. Afterward, I pursued a two-year Endodontic specialty program at NYU, graduating in 2019 as a chief resident.
I encourage you to always ask me questions, and I will strive to educate you and explain the procedure step by step. My ultimate goal is to change the world's misconceptions behind root canal therapy, one patient at a time.
Ive been a dental hygienist since 2009 and have enjoyed every minute of it! I graduated from SDSU as a Public Health Major and continued my education, graduating from Southwestern College, where I was on the Deans list and was President of my class in Dental Hygiene. I want to give every patient an enjoyable experience while helping to improve and maintain ones oral health. I was a dental assistant in General Practice and Endodontics. I also received my bachelors degree in Psychology. I am very passionate about providing optimal care to my patients, improving their quality of life, and promoting their health.
My family and I have been a part of Oak Tree Dental for over 10 years now. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters that love to practice Jiu-Jitsu and visit me at work for their routine cleaning. My career started in 2007 as an assistant, where I found my passion for dentistry with our family dentist. I then moved to Oak Tree Dental in 2012 as a scheduling coordinator and absolutely fell in love with our patients and the community that surrounded the office. After 18 months of working in the front office, I realized how much I missed assisting. In 2021 I completed my RDAEF2 course receiving my license that same year. Now I get to deliver crowns and complete crown preps and fillings. I am diligent in providing excellent patient care and quality restorations while utilizing state-of-the-art technology. I have enjoyed seeing several of our kid patients become teenagers and have developed several friendships with others. The smiles I get from my patients and having such wonderful and fun coworkers keep me coming back to work every day.
